"(Member name removed), I am sorry to hear that your experience with Ray Labbe & Sons was less than favorable. Our goal with all of our customers, or in your case potential customers, is to leave them feeling satisfied with our company. It is obvious by your review that this goal was not achieved in your instance. That being said, my recollection of our consultation seems to differ from yours. When you initially called to request an estimate you asked what a driveway of your size would cost to pave. I explained that all projects are different so I wouldn’t be able to give you a firm price over the phone. However, I did give you an example of a possible scope of work and with the dimensions you provided that it could be around $10,000, although to give you a firm quote I would need to make a site visit. So we set up a time to meet, we looked at your driveway together, and I even drove around your neighborhood with you and your husband to view driveways which we had installed and other driveways which you wanted to replicate. After we returned to your house, we confirmed the scope of work you were interested in. At that point you asked what it would cost. I replied that I didn’t feel comfortable giving you a price off the top of my head because the scope of work you desired was considerably larger than what we had originally discussed on the phone. I told you that I would measure the driveway right now and email you a firm quote as soon as possible. Three days later you called to ask if I had your quote ready. I apologized that I hadn’t had a chance to get to your quote yet but because you were leaving town the next day I would jump right on it for you. In about an hour I sent you our quote for $16,950. I apologize for any misunderstandings which developed, and I would be more than happy to further discuss your issues at any time. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email with your concerns and I will try my best to resolve them in a timely manner. Thank you for your input and we will strive to improve our communication with customers in the future."
