Humble Handyman

Very , very good in all tasks in house or hard, garden etc.

He was great for setting a schedule and he kept to it. I will use them in the future.

Chris arrived promptly for a walkthrough of our jobs; returned an estimate promptly and began work as promised. His work was professionally executed and completed very much to our satisfaction.

He was thorough and did this in a timely fashion.

He was on time, he was clean, he was professional. He got the job done in a reasonable amount of time. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

I do not wish to go into detail. This is my last statement on the subject.

Communicated via email and text to make arrangements for an estimate. Showed up on time for the estimate and setup a time for a few days later to make the repair. Must have been some mix-up on the date and time for we turned off the water and drained the lines only for a no-show. Arranged for another day.
Dis-assembled the fixture and replaced the gasket and re-assembled with new seats and spring and caulked which took 2.5 hours. Stated that if it still had problems that a plumber would have to take a look at it.
When testing the fixture the next day, the fixture still leaked but we discovered that it was not re-installed in the same position-need to offset the handle to turn off the water completely. The handle is very sticky now when adjusting the water temperature.
The receipt for the work was a regular piece of copy paper hand-written.

Chris Toole repaired the downstairs landings for me that were destroyed when another company came to dry out the basement. They had to take out the tile and look underneath to see if there was any water. So I had Chris repair it so that it was safe, because it was a hole right in the middle. He came out and took care of that for me. He was excellent about everything. We usually never find any mess when he works. He cleaned up after himself anyways.

Chris was always punctual and very professional. Cost estimate was reasonable and final cost was less than estimate. Work area was cleaned daily. Very pleased with work and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend him to others.

Cost estimate was reasonable. Project went well. Located him via Angie's List - thus far I'm finding this saves me alot of wasted time and effort. He is a quiet, laid back kind of guy, shows up when he's supposed to, does what he's supposed to, gets down to business without alot of small talk. Cost noted above was strictly for (painting) labor-I prepared the work surface as much as I could ( removed layers of old wall paper, spackled the gouges and holes, lightly sanded the work surface.) I purchased all needed supplies and will continue to do so whenever I can for the other projects. Paint was on sale in May, so I took advantage of that. Look forward to seeing him again later on when the weather clears to complete exterior painting, heat tape removal from the roof, prime and paint rusted bath vent pipe, replace exterior bath exhaust, insulate broom closet to cut down on winter heat loss, install rain diverter, install rain gutter.

He arrived on time. He was very easy to have around the house-quiet and was listening to something using headphones, so I wasn't concerned about privacy-the first time I could say that when I had someone working in the house. He suggested that we use a different type of wood in the Bay window-which turned out well. TIme will tell if it stands up to water better (or maybe we will never know-one could hope). He did the work effeciently-it took him the time he had estimated and we were very pleased with the results.

Chris called back right away and fit us in immediately. He was prompt, responsive, and efficient.

Chris has done extensive internal and external repairs and refurbishments for us over the past several months. He is reasonable and reliable, and without exception his work has been of the highest quality. From miscellaneous internal repairs to virtually every exterior part of the house, he has done every job we have given him on time, under budget, and to our specifications. He has virtually rebuilt our house. We recommend him without reservation.
