Marjy appeared to duplicate all of the things that I had tried unsuccessfully and she finally gave up after one hour explaining that she didn't know why nothing was working. I noticed after she left that her ad in the local newspaper indicates that she offers a Senior Discount, but she didn't give me a discount (I'm 72). At one point she appeared to be trying to download a driver for an IEEE printer connection. I explained to her that my printer has a USB connection and the IEEE connection driver is for a printer that has a three-pronged plug in connector. She told me she didn't know what an IEEE connection is, or what the difference is between an IEEE and a USB connection. In fairness, she did download a program called C Clean, which she then applied successfully and left the program on my computer, but it should be noted that she told me C Clean is available to anyone online free of charge. I wouldn't have minded if she'd said, "I don't know what's wrong and I can't help you, so I'm only going to charge you $20 for the hour." After all, I wouldn't expect to be paid at all if I was hired to do something I couldn't and didn't actually do. But no, she charged her full fee. I would not hire her again for computer repair, and would not recommend her to anyone.
