MJ Electric

It didn't go very well.  (And she also did work for a friend and drilled a hole thru her French Door threshold ? misjudged where the wall was for the installation of outside lamps.  And did not tell her!)
I wish I could say she was great.  I really would like to support a woman electrician and time has passed ? perhaps she has improved.

Marcus came promptly after I called him. He gave me a very accurate and free quote. He ordered the fan and once it had come in, he installed it soon after and it has been working just great. Very satisified with his work and the cost.

They were pretty significant jobs. Marcus was very professional.  He showed up when he said he would.  I just trusted his judgment.  I would definitely use him again and  I have recommended him to other people.

I had some difficulty in scheduling the work initially but once that was sorted out everything went great. Marcus was very professional, friendly, and considerate of my complex project needs. He is a master with snaking wires and managed to get new pulls up to the 3rd floor w/o any issues. He cleaned up well and checked that I was fully satisfied before leaving. When I went to move my dryer to the new location and found that I had an old and incompatible 3-prong cord, Marcus returned first thing the next morning to replace it for me, no fuss.

Outstanding. Marcus showed up as scheduled, performed the work exactly to my specification and I an extremely happy.

The experience with MJ Electric was outstanding from start to finish. On my initial call to MJ, Marcus picked up the phone, listened to what I needed and made arrangements to come to my house within a couple days to take a first hand look. He then provided me a proposal within three days of his visit and within two weeks the work was scheduled. He arrived at my house 15 minutes early on the day that the work was to be performed and did everything exactly as we had discussed. I was completely impressed with the quality of his work, the efficiency of the process, his punctuality and professionalism. All I can say is great job!

I've had mostly horrific episodes when dealing with contractors and repairmen of every sort (as a warning I will try to include some of these in order to help other people in my future reports), so when a young man turned up at my front door, and appeared to be about 17 years old (he is actually older) I wasn't encouraged. I asked for an estimate; was about to send him on his way. He noticed that we have all new appliances (of a top brand) in the kitchen and asked how we liked them. I replied I didn't know yet, as we had lost all power in the kitchen. He asked if he could look at my panel and I showed him where it was. He looked it up and down for a moment and then went out to his traveling workshop which he towed behind his pickup truck. He came back with a small piece and took my panel apart. He took out a piece and put the new one in. My wife then appeared in the doorway in a state of ecstasy, as all our new appliances were now functioning. He charged me $7.68 for the part and $20.
