Thanks to John and John and Stone Mason Jesse and the rest of the Korpaczewski team for a job well done on our Munjoy Hill driveway in October! Team K also did our neighbor's driveway last summer, so we knew they would be a strong contender when the time came to repair our old driveway, too. We did our due diligence, of course, but Korpachewski was the clear choice of the bunch. Good response time, good communication throughout, amazing teamwork, top quality work ... and all at a fair price. Highly recommend!

We were very impressed with J Korpaczewski & Son right from the start, when we received a very prompt response to our request for an estimate. John spent time explaining exactly what he would do to fix our driveway issues and gave us an estimate on the spot. We accepted his estimate. He gave us advance notice of when the prep work of digging up the old driveway would be done, and again when the actual paving was done. I've never seen a crew work as hard as John's! We are very pleased with the end result. It's wonderful not to have to navigate ruts and bumps, but to be able to drive up a smooth, level driveway. We would recommend John and his company to anyone needing paving.

John and his crew were top notch from start to finish. Came out the day after contacting them this past winter, gave me an accurate quote, prepared me for the whole process, and booked the job. Finished all prep work and laid first layer on time and in record time, and were back to lay asphalt in less time than we expected. We went from water and ice in my garage all through the winter to all water running nicely away from the house. Highly recommended!

After obtaining a few estimates from paving companies we decided on having John and his crew pave our driveway. They arrived when they said to estimate the work and again arrived when they said (on time) again to pave. Very well orchestrated crew where everyone knew their tasks as if like they’ve been working together for a long time. John and his son were very detailed in explaining what needed to be done, what the possible outcomes would be, and gave literature on what to expect for the different phases of this big project. From the very beginning John was very timely and responsive to questions we had before, during and after completion of the project. John was also on site during the whole project which was very important. John's crew worked very well together, there was no time wasted, they all seemed to be very experienced and well trained. The driveway is now as perfect as such a long driveway can be, drains well, looks beautiful. John and his company are detailed, completes projects timely from beginning to end, and are very professional with their company.

He took me through all the steps, explained their approach, and made recommendations based on his expertise. The job consisted of removing the old pavement and laying down a reclaimed layer, followed by new pavement after about four to five weeks. I would be happy to refer others to his business.

John was totally professional from the beginning to the end. As we changed the configuration of our driveway (without plans), all of the old asphalt was removed and new reclaim was placed and rolled. The configuration was slightly different than the original plans but when I mentioned this to John he stated the asphalt would be done as I had expected and it was. Great job. My wife and I are very satisfied with the work and the process of getting to completion.

Superb! A++ John and his team of 9 showed up two different dates on time 6:30 a.m. as promised. He telephoned day before as a courtesy to let us know. The first time to dig up our old pavement and put down “reclaim” after that settled a couple of weeks He came back as promised with team and laid down 3” of beautiful hot pavement. When we phoned John he always returned our call within the same day or next morning. He was the best price quote out of 4. He is a busy man but made room in his schedule for us. What a beautiful job John and the team did on my driveway. John's team came highly recommended by another family member who had used them several years ago. I had been having issues with water coming down the driveway and into the garage; John stripped the pavement and regraded the driveway and letting it settle before coming back to pave. The work was excellent and John was very responsive via email for questions. So happy with the final result!

Many small things happened which I can put up with but the kicker is what I have to live with now. At the end of the driveway one side flares out and the other side has a circle look. i called him and sent a picture and he blamed me saying I came out and looked at the lines he put down. I said i didn't look that way because that area going straight down the driveway and flared out. That was laughable thing to say because he would of made it look like that on purpose. I got more mad listening to him blame me he said have your husband call me and he hung up on me. When he talked to my husband he changed his story said our old driveway was like that and he followed the base. He blames everything on something or someone and and never admits fault. What a crap look i have to live with.

I knew nothing about driveway paving other than the fact that I needed a new one. Got an estimate. $7600 to dig up the old one and put a new one in. I gave them the go-ahead. They removed the old driveway and put down cold reprocessed asphalt as a base - fine so far. Only AFTER the driveway had been hot asphalt paved did the owner tell me that it was just an hot asphalt "base coat" and that an hot asphalt "finish coat" would be needed in about 3 years. So I just spent $7600 and THEN found out that I didn't get a finished driveway ???? After 3 years the asphalt was indeed coarse enough to be deteriorating in places, plus since they just did a "base coat" the asphalt depth at the concrete garage floor lip is way lower than it should be.

"Not really sure what to think about this review. I met with him personally and was very clear on the best way to do his driveway. He was very happy with everything when we were done. Now 3 years later he is not. Iv tried reaching out to him several times and left messages to discuss and have not heard back. I put everything in writing and explained (as I always do, that’s why I always meet with my clients before hand so we are on the same page) myself very thoroughly when we met to give him a estimate. He was on board with my approach and what I was doing. That’s why he hired me. Once again, not sure what happened here but if he would have called me to discuss I’m sure we could have resolved this. I have a copy of the estimate I provided him and it clearly states 3/4” base coat of asphalt. Thank you."

Overall I was pleased with the work done. John was like a conductor leading a fine-tuned orchestra. Every crew member knew their specific task and they hustled. The driveway looks awesome. (I may not drive on it ever again) I highly recommend this company for any paving project.
