Eventually we got what we wanted and everything is installed and working fine. The response at the store when choosing and ordering was fine, but there were long lags before the work was performed. Perhaps at least partly justifiable, as the doors had to be ordered. We weren't in a hurry, so this didn't matter much. Everyone is friendly and we're pleased with the final results.
