I take pride in working for myself,which enables me to get 90% of my work from customers who pass my name along. I have been on roofs since I was 17 with my dads small company. Now at 43 I am doing the same thing. I love working with shingles and homes that are unique.There are people who need my service but think they cannot afford to repair or replace thier roof. I am in a position where the years of roofing experience have taught me to solve the problems many Mainers face with our harsh winters.I take pride in my many local references. You can call my references and speak with real people about what I did to thier home. Or you can drive to the addresses listed and see in person the particular job.I have the ability to get jobs done on time because of the years of experience with roofs,where most companys will still be there. I price my jobs at the lowest possible price while still using the best materials avaiable.I have two employees who have been with me for 5 years. There is no drinking or drug use by my company. Most roofing companies have that issue. It cost no money for me to give you my estimate.I make sure that the homeowner knows exactly what im using for materials and how im using them.I love what I do. Thats why I am able to do it where everyone is happy they picked me as thier contractor.

Attached to the contract was a copy of his insurance. The policy start date was 14 March 2013 and was supposed to be good thru 14 March 2014. However, during his time on my roof I found out that it had expired. I learned this when I called the insurance company to let them know the roof was leaking. His insurance company told me his insurance had expired. Based on the dates of the policy I assumed he started the policy as a ruse and did not pay for it. The insurance company couldn't tell me why it lapsed because of privacy policies. I told him he had to get off the roof. Letting his insurance lapse was a breach of contract. My home is close to my neighbors home and If anything would have happened my insurance would have had to pay for it. That was the reason that he left, he was not insured. I even offered to pay for his insurance! After he left he would not return my calls.
He only did half the job, half the roof. He did not have any money to buy materials, so I was the one who had to call the local lumber companies and pay for the materials. I did his job in that respect. He left me high and dry and never finished the job. I had to hire somebody else to do the job which cost me an additional $1000.00 above Cam Roofings estimate of $7360.00.. The guy had really good references from local people who had him do work. Something was falling apart with this guy and I would not recommend him to anybody. I would have taken him to court but that would have cost me money I did not have.
