+ -1 moreThe salesperson was very helpful at Lowe's - and gave me multiple options. The installer contacted me promptly - came to look at the job and gave me a lot of helpful suggestions. Installers arrived this am on time - worked steadily and professionally - cleaned up - did a great job. Absolutely no complaints. I do however think I might have been able to get a better price from a private contractor - for me this is the easiest route and I am very satisfied.
Description of Work: I purchased a sliding glass door and had it installed.

+ 0 moreSee above for story from start to finish. What I had done: 11 custom made doors, painted at the factory, with application of new door knobs 1 outside steel door, application of bolt lock.
Description of Work: I went to Lowe's for a price quote on having all 11 of my interior doors replaced as well as one outside door. Tim Jacobs in millwork was my contact person, and he was excellent in helping me gather all the information I needed to make my decision. He was professional and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He did the "leg work" on finding the right information about the outside door I wanted. He worked to keep my price quote in line and even suggested the "gift card" promotion they were holding at that time, which ultimately paid for the outside door. I requested a certain installer, David Roach, as I had him in the past for new windows. The work done at that time was excellent. They arranged for the installer that I requested and they worked with me on the days of installation so I could be off from work. The install department (Peter and Sandy) were in contact by phone on several occasions to let me know when the doors would be ready. They also followed up at the end to make sure I was satisfied with the project. David is the ultimate professional and a perfectionist. He did a wonderful job from start to finish - from hanging the doors to applying all the door knobs and locks. He delivers exactly what he says he is going to do. He left my house spotless -- you would never have known he was there. I had one door that seemed to stick a bit on the bottom when opening and closing, and he returned in due time to trim it. It was a team effort all the way around, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

+ 0 moreFrom my first contact with Lowe's, they were professional in every aspect of our dealings. I wanted to get 2 other estimates before signing a contract, and they did not pressure me in any way during the wait. Surprisingly, all the estimates were within several hundred dollars of each other. I like the Pella windows offered at Lowe's, felt very comfortable with the installer who came out to look at the job, and he was willing to do it on my schedule so I wouldn't have to miss much work. He was prompt, explained everything to me, was professional, cleaned up after himself, and did a wonderful job. I have some touch up painting to do as he had to take off the window moldings to insert the windows, but I expected that.I have more interior work to be done (replace inside doors), and Lowe's will be my first stop for this job.
Description of Work: I had 14 replacement windows installed in my home.
