Worst company in a field that is made up entirely of bad actors. Angi lies to contractors and customers alike. Just Google someone, don't waste your time or help Angi take money from 6 different contractors.

I feel obligated to share my experience with Angi to help others avoid the nightmare I’ve endured. In short, Angi arranged for a so-called “professional” to mount my TV — it fell off the wall three hours later. One week later, Angi still has not fixed the issue, issued a refund, or shown any semblance of care or accountability. Here are the full details: My original appointment was scheduled for a Saturday. The assigned “professional” texted after the scheduled time to say he would be an hour late, then showed up 1.5 hours late. He mounted the TV, and despite the poor experience, I tipped him $20 in cash out of courtesy. Three hours later, the TV fell completely off the wall. I immediately texted him — no response. I contacted Angi support, and they informed me that their normal repair scheduling window is 48 hours — completely missing the urgency of the situation. When I asked if it was normal for a TV to fall off the wall hours after installation, they simply repeated their canned response. I requested a supervisor multiple times and was told supervisors were "not available," "do not have phones," and "would call me later" — a call I never received. I asked for a full refund, including the tip. They refused, citing that tips are "discretionary" even though Angi actively solicits tips through their platform. On Monday, after still hearing nothing, I called again. My only option was to rebook another "professional" to fix the original disaster. The second installer scheduled for Tuesday canceled, asked me to pay him directly outside of Angi for a lower rate (completely unethical), and left me again with no resolution. I tried to reschedule for Friday — yet again, the installer canceled, citing rain as the reason for not being able to mount an indoor TV. Multiple promises from Angi that a supervisor would call me back have gone completely unfulfilled. It has now been over a week with a TV hanging off my wall, $220 stolen, and zero resolution. Every interaction with Angi has been a frustrating runaround with no accountability, no urgency, and no leadership willing to step in and make things right. Angi, if you are reading this: Why has it been acceptable to ignore a serious service failure, leave a customer with damaged property, and keep my money? To everyone else: Avoid Angi at all costs. They are disorganized, unresponsive, and operate in a way that shows no respect for the customers they claim to serve.

I am a Angi “professional” I pay them for leads for potential work. It was a good way to meet people when I first started my business. It was ok the first year I used it. Now, i have nothing good to say about it. The job requests I get are either fake, non responsive or they basically want something done for free. I would with all my heart never recommend anyone to use angi list for anything. Do your research, ask family friends or even Facebook groups for recommendations. Don’t use this source. I asked to cancel my membership with them and I have to pay a certain % to discontinue. I also hear horror stories of people hired through here. PLEASE DO NOT USE.

Angi's Booking ID 25039241 - 3/7/25 -- I was assigned a contractor through Angi after purchasing a shuffleboard table from Wayfair on Order #3544407207. The total order was $1,568.98, which included $369.99 for assembly services, billed through Wayfair. After the table was delivered on March 1, 2025, I received contact via Angi’s messaging platform from a contractor who was clearly unprepared and ultimately never showed up. After waiting and trying to confirm the appointment, I hired and paid my own contractor. I contacted Angi to report the failed job, only to be told they had “no record” of the assignment—even though the messages and job were clearly listed in their app. I submitted: Screenshots of the chat with the no-show subcontractor Proof of Wayfair payment Photos and timelines of the delivery Despite this, Angi refused to assist, claiming they couldn’t validate the project.

If I could, I would give Angi a zero. Their recommendation for a handyman type person was the worst. They sent someone totally unprepared for the work at hand and with a nervous disposition. He never completed the job and left behind a mess for us to clean up. This is the short version of what occurred. Angi is attempting to charge me for services not rendered eight months ago and it's almost impossible to contact them personally. Never again. Be aware!

Customer service is terrible. They act like they don't speak English. I repeatedly asked for a manager and never got one. I repeatedly ask them to put me back on rebooking after they canceled because they didn't have enough pros to put together my furniture. I never talked to a manager never got put back on to rebook. And since I wanted my money back I have to wait 3 to 5 weeks for a check in the mail. Being a nurse who works 3rd shift this is one of the biggest inconvenience. I will not book with them again. I told my co workers not to either!!!! Terrible

Angi still serves junk. They said they changed the system they use to get leads so you should get a better quality of leads. Not the case you still cant get a hold of the leads in Wisconsin. I don't know if it is a regional thing but the leads are still junk, and they give very few credits. put that money toward advertising it will be better spent. the benefit is for Angi. Not for the contractor. STAY AWAY FROM ANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angi provided extremely poor contractor and absolutely no support to resolve issues with the work. Will never use again.

Angi sucks I bought a Bordiuk TV Stand for TVs up to 80" that comes with a fireplace I paid money through Wayfair for them to come out and put it together for me. I thought Wayfair had there own people but it turns out that Angi is doing coming out and putting it together for me. I got my Bordiuk TV Stand for TVs up to 80" with the fireplace on 3/10/25 and Angie was supposed to come out on 3/13/25 because they had no pro’s in my area I had to reschedule my appointment I have a new appointment on 3/15/25 and someone from Angie better show up.

DO NOT USE ANGI'S! I hired a plumber through Angi’s, and it has been a nightmare. The plumber came, installed the fixture, and almost immediately, things started going wrong. I have been trying to get this resolved, but Angi’s so-called "customer service" is nothing but a runaround. They are completely unhelpful, making excuse after excuse instead of fixing the problem. I trusted this service to connect me with a professional, but instead, I got a disaster and no accountability. Save yourself the headache—find a reputable professional elsewhere!

I will never hear anyone from Angie list the last company I hired from Angie list that was Angie list approved Stole over 6 thousand dollars off me and had to chase down I filed paperwork at the magistrate office that he lied and never showed up to court now I have to take the next step to get my money back so I am letting everyone know do not hear anyone from Angie list and if you do don't believe Angie list do ur own homework Angie list got the balls to want me to star rate him wow really you turned me on to a company who stole 10 thousand dollars off me and Angie list has the ball wanting me to rate this theaf before I can post my comment

Horrible experience! I paid an extra $160 to have a TV mount installed, but the technician canceled just 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment and said they don't provide that kind of service. It’s now been two months, and I’m still trying to get my money back. Customer service has been unhelpful and continues to give me the runaround. Absolutely the worst company!

Angi recommended Unlicensed/Uninsured Contractor - Out $4k bc can't track down to sue - Angi matched me with vendor that took payment and disappeared without completing work. Turns out they are not licensed or insured and are untraceable, I am trying to sue but the vendor is not a real company to sue. I trusted they were vetted by Angi as an actual legally licensed and insured contractor but seems anyone can get approved by Angi. Angi offers no help and protects the identity of the scam vendor instead of aiding the customer, though the vendor disconnected their phone and won't answer Angi's calls either.

Bernard Builders did an outstanding job on my kitchen! The quality of work was amazing and they really worked to maximize space. Hire Bernie for your kitchen renovation, you won't be disappointed!

I paid “That’s Wild” critter control company $165 for a consult fee which was to be applied to work done. I never received a quote and got one excuse after another telling me a quote would be coming sooner. I think they charge $165 consult fees and never do any work. Totally unprofessional. Do not hire this hustler.

I think...this is the worst company in history! My pro never showed up and I notified them and they still took my money! Now they saying I have to wait 3 to 4 d*** weeks to get my money back. Please!! Do not use this company for anything! Very sorry and not helpful! They really do not deserve a star!

On 1/6/24 they sent someone to hang my television and in the process, they damaged my floors and my fireplace. They requested that I get a quote for repairs and I sent that in after much communications took place and on 2/28/24 they said they had everything to process the claim. Today is 5/20/24 and now they're acting like they never received the information even though it was sent in multiple times. This is a shady company and I definitely wouldn't recommend them or use them again!

Since January cannot get one return phone call. Nothing has been done. Not one ad placed.

Angie's list has led me to some of the best home service experiences. Thank You! We've had Windows, Roofing and plumbing recommendations from Angie's List and all have been great experiences.

Never use again

I have to continue to pay for a subscription that new subscribers get for FREE. This is after several years of membership. I will not deal with a provider on Angies List again.

Only a few times and it wasn't worth it. I can find the same answer for free.

It has not gone well. The vendor first was going to show up to do the work and did not show up. Now after the holiday's I am unable to qualify for a refund because the 30 days has lapsed.

Angie's List consultant contacted within two hours of my submitted request. Was professional in all contacts. He demonstrated why I not only did not need a new heat exchange, but I also did not need a new furnace. When I offered to pay him and his technician for coming out, he declined to accept payment. I will be using this firm, thanks to Angie's List!

Painters scheduled the job outside of the 30 day purchase window, never showed up and never called.  I called angies list to get a refund Only to be told they can't give me one.  They will however offer you a refund if you buy something else from there site.  Angie's list is a good concept but it has turned into a very profitable business that has moved away from from focusing on finding quality companies to do business with.  They want their money, any way they can get it, just like every other company.  I fell for the silliness that they are on your side.  Now I know better.  My fault in the end.
