I have a service plan with them so I just pay the yearly plan. They had to come out 4 or 5 times because the part had to keep ordering.

Serviceman arrived on time, and the same day I called.  Worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up his mess, afterward.  (In fact, the laundry room floor was cleaner after he left than before he arrived!)  He was honest in his assessment of what would be most cost-effective for me, i.e, replacing parts or buying a new machine.
I am completely satisfied with the service he provided, and I was able to complete my laundry that day rather than have to take sopping wet clothes to a public laundromat to finish my task.
As is standard practice with Sears, the cost of the service call was applied to the cost of repairs
Although we have a Home Warranty service, I prefer to call Sears for my appliances.  I know they will use quality replacement parts, and are fully familiar with the brands they service.  I have used Sears for years to service my appliances, and have never had a problem with them.  I find they respond quickly do their work well.

They came out and looked at it. They said it was going to be $302.08 but I had to pay them in advance because they had to get a circuit board and they won't be back until Saturday.
I told them maybe I would just buy a new one instead, but they said I had to let them know right then so I told them to do the work.
The next day I got a phone call from a guy named Dan. He said he was a service tech from Sears and wanted to know if his part came. I told him I didn't know because it was supposed to be ordered. A half hour later I got a knock on the door and it was a guy from Sears delivering the part. No one told me this was going to be delivered, they said they were going to bring it Saturday. I called Dan back and he said he was going to come in a half hour. When they got here I told him he was lucky I was home to sign for it because I didn't know they were coming. He worked on the machine and fixed it. He then tried to charge me another $277. I told him I already paid for it and he said I didn't. It was even cheaper now than I was originally charged and I told him I should get some money back.
Now when I use the dryer I just pushed the button and it worked for 64 min, now when I hit the button it only runs for 19 min. I tried different settings that were supposed to come on for even longer than 64 min and they only came on for 22 min.
I called them back to let them know the machine didn't work and they didn't help. They then gave me a number for their "Blue Ribbon Service". I talked to Karl and they said they'd have someone come out and wanted me to wait for them between 8am and 5pm. This is the third time I've had to do this and I felt like they should schedule something. They said they would come Thursday at 8:00am and be the first call. He got back on the phone and said he had to change it to Wed. No one showed up on Wed. and when I called to let them know no one answered, they were closed because they didn't open until 10. He then said the service guy's truck broke down and he couldn't make it until 11:30. I was not happy that they didn't call. He then called the service guy who lied and said he already called. After lots of phone calls, I still couldn't get anyone to come out. I asked for a manager and they wouldn't let me talk to anyone.
Now they say they won't come to my house because I'm being hostile over the phone. They said I used profanity when I did not. They said they'd refund the money.

I needed a replacement garage door opener. I want on ?Sears Parts Direct? and chatted with an agent.  She assured me that the part I then ordered was the right one; I almost immediately determined that it was NOT the right one.  I went back online, and got a different Chat Agent, who confirmed that the first part was not right.  He set me up with the right opener, at a discount, and offered free priority shipping (I have an order email that clearly shows ?Free Shipping?). 
When the wrong part came, I packed it up, made a special trip to return it, and waited for my refund.  When it finally came, they had not credited my $10.99 shipping. Convinced that this was a mistake, I got Customer Service on the phone (having given up on ?Chat?). The Agent, then his supervisor confirmed, that they had REALLY meant that they just weren?t going to charge me a second time for shipping ? not that they would refund me the first shipping I paid for the wrong part they recommended I buy.
 I find this totally unacceptable! DON'T use Sears Parts Direct!!!

So far so good! The mold is taken care of & the air is cleaner - good breathing now! I didn't know that there was mold in my system until they came out to clean my duct work. They did good duct work & the air is flowing differently in the house.

Service was carried out professionally.

However, the labor charge of $200.00 for a 40 mn call represents an hourly labor fee of $300.00.

The $112.57 charge for a thermostat with a street price of $35.00 represents a 220% markup, which qualifies as price gouging.

My total cost for this repair is $70.00 less than the original cost of the appliance.

When I attempted to contact Sears Customer Service for an explanation, I asked to speak to a supervisor, was put on hold for 10 minutes, then disconnected.

On my second attempt, I was put on hold for 1 hour and 37 minutes, then disconnected again.

On my third try, the supervisor attempted to justify the cost by saying that it included a 90-day warranty on parts and service.

One would think a company pressured by poor performance would try to keep its customer base.  Sears just lost another customer.

Dont EVER use Sears Home Repair, I called them because I have a Kenmore fridge that was wasn't working. He was here a total of 10 minutes, the part was $59, his time spent installing it 2 minutes, the total from "the company" (he showed me on his laptop) $288 which mean $229 went to him spending a few minutes diagnosing and 2 minutes installing. Truely unbelievable. Never again, never.

We had purchased an extended warranty for the refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Now I am really sorry we did. The refrigerator handle came off and the ice dispenser did not work. After waiting three weeks for a service date, the technician arrived 2 hours after the end of the time window, and did not have the necessary parts (handle), even though we had told them what the problem was. So then we had to wait three more weeks for an appointment. On the scheduled day, I waited and waited and finally called, only to find out that they had rescheduled the appointment without telling me! I actually gave up a trip to the beach so that I could be home on that day. No resolution of this yet. I am now on hold waiting to speak to a supervisor. The telephone person told me that all their technicians were booked and no one can come today. This is totally unacceptable and I am extremely sorry I bought anything at all from Sears. They have my money now and don't care to provide service.

SEAR's agreed that this was a mistake on the behalf of the sale representative but they are not willing to remove the unit and place the correct one in. The store manager I spoke with was Bob Horringer who gave me two options: They would provide me with the top of the line unit, which I thought I was buying anyway, or they could take $1000.00 off of their bill. I asked them to replace the unit with the Carrier or just to remove the unit and allow me to go purchase from another company. They told me that was not an option. Sears called me back on November 1st and granted my request for the top of the line unit as well as remove $1000 off of my bill.

This was a disaster. They started off my taking the old roof off and did not tarp it overnight. It ended up raining and water came into our living room. We had also just had the exterior painted and all the old shingle they ripped off fell everywhere and scuffed our new paint. Where the old shingle landed it had ruined some of my landscaping. They left cigarette butts lying around. We went through some litigation over this ordeal and I ended up getting 12% back of my money.

I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPANY. THEY WERE HERE FOR TWO DAYS, AND ONE DAY THEY DID SHOW UP ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATE, BUT OTHER THAN THAT, EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

I WAS GETTING THE HOUSE READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I THINK THEY DID A GOOD JOB. WE DONT HAVE PETS BUT WE DO HAVE KIDS AND I THINK THEY LEAVE THE CARPET WORSE THAN KIDS DO. IT FELT GOOD TO HAVE THE CARPET LOOKING NICE IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

WE WENT TO SEAR AND PURCHASE A NEW GARAGE DOOR OPENER AND SET UP A REPAIR PLAN TO REPLACE OPENER WITH NEW ONE, SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD, AND TIMELY, WORK WAS EXCELLENT.
