Called about two weeks ago and scheduled appointment for 5/4/18 after 1pm to look at panes for me and my neighbor. I finally called an hour before they close and was told "they are in Frederick." They suggested rescheduling for Monday. I explained, again, that my neighbor only is available Friday afternoons. They suggested scheduling for next Friday but since they cannot call to say they won't keep an appt, I'll find someone that can show up.

Fairly difficult on the phone - after explaining what was needed, she just said "we don't do that kind of work" - all it was is the replacement of a second story accessible window - did not even know what a Palladian window was. We have over 50 windows in our home and as a result of this 3 minute conversation I would never consider using or referring this company.

Everything went smoothly.  The whole organization from the owner (Bob) to the installers were professional and skilled.  They responded promptly to the initial contact, submitted an estimate without delay after a site visit, and came when they said they would to do the installation.  Bob was here for the duration of the installation, which took a while because the house is old and alignments are tricky when putting mirrors on 2 right angle corners.  They were able to make adjustments to the glass on site.
When one of the mirrors cracked a few weeks later - probably from the stress due to uneven surfaces - they responded quickly and professionally.  Overall, a quality organization.  Will definitely call them for future projects.

I contacted Absolute Glass on 7/15 via email to get an estimate for having an 8 foot mirror installed above my vanity. Within in a few hours I received an email from Carol asking me to contact them by phone to provide more information. I immediately called and spoke with Carol. I gave her the additional information she requested and she asked me to email pictures of my home/stairs to see if they would be able to fit the mirror.  I emailed the pictures as soon as I got off the phone with her. I knew it was possible to get that size mirror in my house because there was an old mirror already there which was 8 feet but I sent the pictures anyway.  Carol said she would send me a quote the following week. I never heard from her.  On July 29th I sent her another email to follow up and see if they had a quote ready yet but did not get a response. I called on August 3rd because my new counter was being installed the following day and I really wanted to get the installation of the mirror scheduled and needed to know the price. Carol immediately told me they had declined the job and said someone was supposed to have contacted me but they didn't. I wasted 2 1/2 weeks waiting for them to contact me. I have no problem with them not wanting to take the job but I do have a problem with them completely ignoring me. 
It all worked out in the end for me. I contacted another glass company and they had people out the next day to measure and my new mirror was installed less than a week later for a fantastic price. 

During weed whacking, a poplar and quot;gumballand quot; seed pod went flying at high velocity into the sliding glass patio door, breaking the outer layer of glass on one side.
I found Absolute Glassworks here on Angie's List, and contacted them in writing (as well as another provider) via the and quot;Contactand quot; button because it was and quot;after hours.and quot; I received a reply that night from Bob from Absolute Glassworks and we began an email exchange that resulted in a quote based on my own measurements taken via Bob's instructions. He asked for my address and said he'd call me the next day (it was Sunday by this time but he'd been emailing with me after hours over the weekend).
He called Monday early afternoon and was here faster than he'd predicted, along with another employee. He measured, confirmed that the panel was a standard size, and less than 30 minutes later it was all done. Bob was friendly, professional, personable, a great communicator who corresponded with me quickly, got here fast, and got the job done at a very fair price. It was a pleasure to encounter a service provider who is also good with communication, even going so far as to give me his phone numbers in an email, saying and quot;here's my numbers so that when I call, you'll know who's calling.and quot;
The other glass company I contacted, also from Angie's List, did call me immediately the morning after I contacted them via the and quot;Contactand quot; button and left a message. They have an overall and quot;Aand quot; grade, but a consistent and quot;Band quot; on price from every reviewer I read. Absolute Glassworks, also with an overall and quot;Aand quot; grade, had straight and quot;Aand quot; grades on price. I never returned the other provider's phone message for a number of reasons (he mumbled, I had to and quot;figure outand quot; where he was calling from, among other reasons) but the bottom line is that I trust Angie's List (been a member for years) and if reviewers said Absolute Glassworks was great and better on price, I saw no reason to begin a conversation with another provider.
I would definitely recommend Absolute Glassworks and will use them again if I have the need. :-)

Our 95 lb dog got excited and broke the glass in a window accidentally with his moose antler. Days before taking photos to list our house on the market. I contacted several glass companies on Angie's list. While each listed glass repair as a service most responded saying that they only replaced windows (some of which had a 5 window minimum) or did not even serve my zipcode.
Bob contacted me the same day I contacted him via Angies List. Depending on the the type of glass I was quoted $169-$189 (which he would test) He offered to come to our home to take measurements and test to see what the type of glass it was. Alternately he offered me a discount if I wanted to bring the window to him. Who wouldn't take advantage of this!?!
So I took the window bottom out myself (just two quick screws) and covered the hole with cardboard and a trash bag and I took the window sash up to him.
First of all if you take advantage of this and you are visiting his shop make sure that you put in the entire address (zipcode and all!) there is another 1718 Belmont Ave Baltimore MD. It could have just been me that somehow managed this (as he said he has not had a customer with this issue before). My point to mentioning this is that when I was lost I called Bob and left a message saying I was lost. He called me right back and he helped me find my way to his shop.
Once I finally made my way to his shop, he told me he would wrap up replacing the glass by the next morning or so. In the back of the building they have an option to place your window if you need to do an after hours pickup. He was actually done with it same day and told me I could pick it up first thing the next morning.
All around my experience with Absolute Glassworks was fantastic! I will hands down recommend them to everyone I know and will use them if/when our Dog ever and quot;strikesand quot; again!

Absolute Glassworks were quick, professional, competitive and responsive. They made good recommendations and provided exactly what we wanted. We are very happy with the end results.

I called Absolute Glassworks on a Monday and they returned my call the next day and scheduled the estimate for later that day. A team of two came out to measure the window and they answered all my questions thoroughly and took a good measure of the glass. I had been told I would have to pay a deposit but the installers told me to call and make arrangements with the front office. I asked if it would be possible to have the glass installed by the end of the following week and they thought it was doable if I didn't order special glass. When I made arrangements to pay the deposit, I asked the front office staff person (who would place the order) and was told it usually takes 7-10 days and might be possible. More than a week later, I realized I hadn't heard from them so I called and got the voicemail during normal business hours. I called again the next day which was a Friday, the day by which I had hoped to have it installed, and talked to the same office staff person who told me the glass had not come in and was not likely to arrive in time to be installed the same day. At that point I had figured as much and wasn't too disappointed but I was annoyed that they hadn't called me proactively. About 30 mins later, the office person called back to tell me they had the glass and could install it immediately. i made arrangements to meet the installers and they had it done in about an hour. The installers were extremely professional and helped me move all the furniture before and after the installation. They did a great job. Overall, I was extremely happy that they were able to get the job done when I had hoped and did it so efficiently and for a good price. My only complaint was that the front office staff person was not very pleasant when I paid my deposit nor when I called to follow up but in the end, she made it happen and I really appreciated that.

Easy to schedule. Arrived on time. Cleaned up after their removal and installation. Could not ask for anything more.

It was an excellent experience. The two men who came for the estimate and the glass replacement were on time, well mannered and did a great job. They cleaned up the place after the work and we will certainly use this company again in future. I had contacted couple of other companies and I found the price of Absolute GlassWorks to be reasonable and also got quick appointments and decided to go with Absolute GlassWorks .

Bob is the best. Couldn't be happier with his work. On time, very professional and the shower looks amazing. Highly recommend Bob and his crew.

Very responsive and kept on task. There was a delay because the first try didn't fit and had to be re-done. (They had taken the table so all the work was done on their end and wasn't delivered until it was done completely.)

Promised to come out on a certain day and didn’t show up. Never returned phone calls until quite recently in which they said they would come back out. At this time, I will be considering a different company.

after numerous failed attempts by other companies I found Absolute Glass to be very responsive and professional. It was easy to communicate, email, text and phone. They were prompt, xand delivered the product ahead of schedule. I will certainly use them again if the need arises..

Very well. Bob and two other men came promptly, worked efficiently and courteously and completed the job well. The price was competitive w/ others I compared.

The person I was dealing with was very nice. She charged me for what I needed and nothing extra.
