TimberCare Tree Experts

They did a great job, the trees look great and the SP even cleaned up wonderful upon the completion.  I would highly recommend them.  I will use again in the future.

TimberCare Tree Experts did a good job. They are reasonably priced. They cut down some of our trees. If a tree has fallen they will cut it up and take it away, or if it is falling down, they will cut it down. No one around here is interested in cutting the trees up for firewood so TimberCare haul it away. We have found them to be fast and reasonable. Tree work is expensive. They cleaned up really well. This is the third time we have used them.

I  hired Timber Care to remove and haul away a 42" round tulip poplar tree.  I was really nervous about this because the tree was so large and close to the house, they had to remove part of my fence as well.  My fears were put to rest when I saw them start to work, the lead fellow that did all the trimming was great he made it seem so easy and the crew that worked with him also.  It took them most of the day to do this. I would definitely hire them again and request the same crew.

I hired Timber Care to remove the trees and they scheduled the appointment for October 1rst, but the appointment was rescheduled twice before they arrived on the 8th to complete the work, once due confusion of the calendar on their part, and once due to bad weather earlier in the week causing them to reschedule other jobs, which led to rescheduling my job.  The crew arrived bright and early, cut down the trees in question, stacked the firewood that we had asked to keep, and cleaned up the site and debris.  All in all I was happy with this part of the work, as the crew was fast, professional, and prompt. If this was the only service I booked I might have docked them a bit due to the communication issues in scheduling, but otherwise was happy.  However, the second half of the job was an exercise in frustration.
We had also requested that they grind the stump after they cut it down, and grind three other stumps in the yard.  At the time I scheduled the tree cutting, I was told that the tree grinding would be completed at the end of the week.  The trees were cut Thursday, I called Friday to find out when they would be coming and left a message and no one returned my call.  I called again after the weekend, and was told that someone would come either Saturday (13th) or the following Tuesday (16th)  to complete the work, and that I would receive a confirmation call with the date.  I received no call, and no one arrived on either date.  I called back after no one came on the 16th  and was told that the stump grinder would come on the 25th.  No one arrived on the 25th.  At this point Hurricane Sandy was due to arrive in a few days, so I waited for a week to let storm related activity die down and left another message giving them one last chance.  I never recieved a call back, and have now officially given up on them.  However, at this point the other companies I've called are all booked due to storm activity as well, and recommend calling back in a month, so I may not be able to get the stumps removed any time soon.  As all of my buisness with Tree Care was well before the hurricane, they can not use that as an excuse for poor service. 
The only saving grace is that we set up payment seperately for the cutting and grinding portions of the job, so I have not lost money for the incomplete work.  However I am very frustrated with their lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and failure to complete the job.  I would not recommend them to anyone at this point, but if you do choose to hire them, be sure to pay them only for the work they completed that day.  You might be safe if you are only hiring for tree removal and not stump grinding.

Mike arrived to provide an estimate on time and was polite and professional.  He explained to me that the project would be done in two phases: first a crew would come out to fell and remove the trees and then a second crew would come out the following week to grind the stumps.
The tree felling crew arrived on time and worked quickly.  They absolutely earned an "A" grade as I do not have anything negative to say about them.  The stump grinding experience was very different.  They initially scheduled a day to come grind but never showed up or called to cancel.  I had to call 3 separate times over the course of 6 weeks before I got on their stump grinding schedule again.  This time they did show up and ground the stumps, but left huge piles of tree stump mulch sitting in my yard.
Overall I gave Timbercare a "C" grade because I averaged the "A" I would have given the tree felling crew and the "F" I would have given the stump grinders.  I think that my stump grinding experience was an exception (based on my experience with the tree felling crew and the fact that the company gets high marks from other members) so I will probably give them another chance and will call them again for service.

They were awesome.  Came out to inspect and gave an estimate.  Came and did the work, and then followed up to make sure I was totally taken care of.

They were on time, worked safely, did a great job of trimming and cleaned up all debris. We will definitely be using them again.

All of it was easily done within 5 hours by an expert crew of 7 who left our yard beautifully clean.  They arrived by 8 am, and I had no problem at all communication with the lead man, Paco.  He did a great job on the Star Magnolia!  I was home but very busy inside.  Still, I went out to check on their progress periodically.  Paco did not rush the men to just get the job done.  He actually held them back from completing one thing or another to be able to confirm it with me before cutting.  When I asked for some additional cutting on this or that tree, he complied with a smile.  They were all very polite and so hard-working!  This was a real challenge for them, too, because we had some hard rain (no lightning) the first couple of hours they worked that morning.  We were very impressed and definitely recommend them without reservation.

Mike did the estimate he came out walked the job went through what I wanted done.  He said it would take a few hours to complete the job.  They showed up on time they were very clean and skilled.  They raked up all the debree really good and spotless. Everything was done very proper and correctly I have recommended them to some of the guys I golf with.

They are very knowledgeable. They laid out everything and told me what they wanted to do. They explained everything on how they are going to do that. They were right here when they said they would be. I would recommend them to friends and family members.

They were wonderful. The price was really good. They were very professional and sent a team of 5 or 6 people with two trucks. They were done within an hour and did it all in the rain while whistling. They were very cheerful, I was impressed.

TimberCare's price was half of two other estimates we received.  They cut the dead wood out of one tree and trimmed the branches back that were close to the house.  They also trimmed the branches of a walnut tree that were hanging over our pool.  We had a 3-4 foot stump in the back yard that they cut down to ground level for free!  And we also had a pile of dead branches up against the house that they offered to clean up at no charge. They were prompt and professional and did a good job of cleaning up. Paco,especially, was very pleasant to do business with.

They did a very good job. I would use them again.

Great they cleaned up nicely and stacked the wood I was keeping where I wanted.  My only complaint was that I could only speak to one of the workers because the rest did not speak English.  The one I was able to speak with was professional and answered all my questions.

They are prompt. They were very quick on getting back to me.

Excellent service provided by Timber Care from the estimator as well as the project team.  My project was to cut down two large pines trees which were too close to the house plus another smaller tree near the back of the house.  Timber Care also cut down an old, rather small, dogwood and did tree trimming on 3 or 4 other trees.  The team consisted of 6 persons including a project lead.  Also, the original sales person who gave us the estimate said he would stop by on the day of service to check out the work and he arrived as expected, made a couple of additional suggestions and agreed the project was going well.  The team was at my house at the agreed upon time and finished the job and cleanup in about 6 1/2 hours, with minimal breaks.  Overall, a job well done.

I had also asked about pruning a crepe myrtle and they advised me to wait until after the blooming season.  I'll call them back in the fall.

Found TimberCare through another service.  While describing job to estimator, he suggested rather than itemizing lots of varied tasks I needed done that I should just contract for a complete team for a day and then prioritize the tasks once the team arrived.  This was a wonderful idea.  My tasks included a major pruning of a snow-damaged cherry tree, taking down multiple dead and damaged trees, removing ivy from house and shed and cutting back ivy around house and lots of other general cleanup of leaf piles and downed tree branches etc.  Other companies bid up to 3.5 times the amount TimberCare charged for the full day of work.  The estimator thought I could get everything done in one day.  I had my doubts, but the price was such that it made sense to start with one day and see how far they would get.  The team arrived on schedule with 5 men, two trucks and a large chipper and stayed a full 8 hours.  The foreman and other workers were all very friendly and professional.  After explaining to the foreman what I needed done, they proceeded to attack all the jobs at once helping each other as needed.  Their work ethic was exceptional.  They only took one break for about 20 minutes to eat lunch.  They did indeed complete all of the tasks on my list in one day!  They did a fantastic job with a super cleanup and it was a pleasant experience.  I would recommend them most highly.

Their service was excellent. We originally were going to have only two trees cut down, but they did such a good job we ended up having four or five cut down. I highly recommend them. The clean up was good. It is important to note that stump grinding is extra, but we decided to pay the extra. I will use them again in the future.
