American Vacuum & Sewing Machine

My vacuum had a problem and I called Hoover Company and they gave me this place number. I went there gave to a guy to repair and he said need brush roll and greed to replace brush for 40 dollars. He did replaced old brush and he charged me 35 dollars. Now my vacuum not cleaning well due to very old brush. He cheat me DO NOT GO THERE. He is doing all kind of cheating methods to get your money. Its better to buy new one. AGAIN PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. Please share this your friends and family members.

Work was performed satisfactorily although it took slightly longer than expected due to lots of other work coming in at the same time. Wasn't a problem for me.

The person at the counter was friendly and helpful. The transaction as quick and painless. We didn't use their repair service, and so can't evaluate that, but we will probably go to them for maintenance in the future.

The price was super reasonable. It was like $79.95 which is fantastic. I have no complaints with the quality of their work. Their responsiveness was very good. I just walked in there with it and they were able to come up and take care of it right away. I have used them in the past and I will keep going to them.

The prices were good and I have had no need for any repairs for the last five years. It is really lightweight and works very well.

The guy who does the repairs originally worked in the old singer sewing machine factory. He fixed my machine and he also tuned it, and my machine works better than ever. He was explaining that singer doesn't have the quality control that they used to have, so it would be a good idea that even if you buy a brand new machine to bring it to him, because he's the one who would go over all the machines before they went to the market. He just makes sure that everything is tightened correctly to the right tension. I was really happy with his work and I would use him again in the future.

Not only did they fix my vacuum cleaner, but took the time to show me what they did and make recommendations on how best to care for the machine! I'll definitely take my vacuum cleaner here for any future work/servicing!!!

This is a good, cluttered like-the-good-old-days repair shop. One of the owners (?) said to me, "Everybody replaces things nowadays; nobody repairs anything anymore - except us. We do it the old fashioned way." They did a great job. Showed me the part they had to replace, explained why it went bad, and gave me some good tips on cleaning the vacuum. Don't buy a new vacuum ... just take it to these guys. They probably won't call you to tell you the estimate as quickly as they said they would, but who cares? This is a good business.

Our vacuum cleaner is working better than it has in a long time, even picking up fine strings, etc. The store itself is quite cluttered, but the work was well done and the people were pleasant. We had no idea where to go for vacuum cleaner repair. Found American Vacuum and Sewing Machine Corporation on Angie's List. This was our first use of Angie's List and our first try for this company. We're very pleased with both.

Nice folks, seemingly honest, trustworthy, and obliging, if perhaps overly optimistic. Initially promised same day services, but took two days to deliver.

The repair was prompt and not expensive, and they gave me advice on how to store the machine to extend the life of the hose and neck. I wish they repaired other small appliances.
