Description of Work: We had some, but not all of the lights in a bathroom stop working. I have a good homeowners understanding of electrical issues and I spent quite some time looking for the cause and could find nothing amiss. I called Tim Kyle Co. based on Angie's list recommendations and set up an appointment that met my time schedule. The electrician, Leland, arrived right on time and brought all his gear to the front door. He proceeded to lay a mat on my door step and put on plastic booties over his work boots so as not to bring in any dirt. He used another mat inside the front door. We talked about my issue and potential causes. He was very thorough in touching all potential causes. After checking at the junction box and in the bathroom without finding any problem. Then he went into the attic above the bathroom. I must note that I had done the same things without find any problems either. In 3 minutes he can down went back into the bathroom and in 1 more minute called me from down stairs to tell me he found the problem and fixed it. it turns out that a year earlier when the bathroom was remodeled a Jacuzzi tub was installed and the electrical connections for the tub pumps and the electrical connections for the lights above the tub were both connected to a GFCI outlet under the tub. The GFCI had been tripped and only had to have its button pushed on to allow my lights to work again. I had no idea that GFCI existed under my tub. Leland found it easily, problem solved.

Description of Work: They installed an additional electrical panel and breakers so that I could connect my portable generator to a single connector box on the outside of my house with a single cable. This allowed my generator to run about 85% of all the necessary items in the home during a power failure without the need to run many extension cords from the generator.

Description of Work: Rewired the back 1/2 of my duplex. Replaced all the receptacles with those that were far superior than the ones my 30 yr old home had. Added another circuit breaker and line to separate service to 3 rooms, into to 2 rooms and 1 room. Electrician was at my home for over 5 hours.
