T & T Furniture Refinishing

I have used T-n-T Refinishing for 2 projects in the past year and have been extremely pleased with the quality of work done, turnaround time and price. I had a bad experience with another refinishing company in the past and was hesitate to try another. When I took my table to T-n-T's place of business, I asked to see other work that they had done. David was very patient in showing and explaining projects that were in his shop and I decided to have him do my table. We were extremely pleased with the final product and, as a result, decided to have him refinish an antique piano also. We will not hesitate to take other projects to David and highly recommend to others. The cost for the table was $250 and the piano was $1700.

Dave responded quickly to our call and after receiving some photos of the unit, he decided to come to look at the unit within a few days. After seeing the unit he made some recommendations and followed up quickly with an estimate. The estimate coincided with an insurance estimate to repair the unit the family had received after the flood cleanup. So we authorized Dave to proceed. He picked up the unit the house and hauled it to his shop in Westminster, Md. He called us within a few days to report that he had discovered that the hardware mo,uniting shad been modified from the original design and asked if we wanted him to return the hardware to original positions. Also that some hardware was missing and could not be duplicated but that he could find similarly styled hardware that would maintain the original style/ period of the unit. We have him the go ahead to do that. He also properly styled short legs/feet onto the bottom since the original feet were missing. Today, nine days after he hauled our unit out of the house, he invited us to his shop to see the completed pieces ( upper and lower sections were handled separately due to weight and size). When we walked into his shop he took us to the lower section, the cabinet portion with drawers and doors. In a word, it was awesome. My sister in law cried, it was so stunningly beautiful, and she had grown up with the unit in her house and could not believe the transformation Dave had performed. When he took us into the other room to see the upper section (that had all the carved wood), my wife and sister both were awestruck again. Dave had taken a shabby, tired old piece of furniture and transformed it into what will be a conversation piece for many many years. We cannot speak highly enough about Dave Teegardens skills and capabilities in seeing what this piece could once again become with the care and skilled workmanship. Very highly recommended. A+++

He communicated well and it was ready when it was supposed to.  Everything went really well overall.

I called the T-n-T Furniture Refinishing and Repair company and received a voice recording. In a very quick time I received a return

call from the owner David Teegarden, after telling him I had four kitchen chairs that the backs only needed refinishing and I wasn't sure if he would do such a small job. Mr. Teegarden was very nice and assured me he does all types of refinishing and repair. He would either pick up the chairs or I could take them to him. My husband and I decided to take one chair to him for an estimate since he wasn't to far away from us.. Mr. Teegarden was very polite and professional and gave us an estimate and a time frame as to how long the job would take. After receiving other estimates that were much higher and information on how much longer it would take to have the chairs completed we decided on T-n-T Furniture.

We took all four chairs to have refinished to T-n-T Furniture and was more than pleased with the results. Not only did he match the backs of the chairs like the original he also touched up any areas that needed it. To our delight he finished the chairs in half the time as expected, since he realized that they were the kitchen chairs we used everyday. Our entire experience with dealing with T-n-T was wonderful, and in this impersonal time we live in, it reminded me of how businesses used to care about their customers.

The building that is T-n-T isn't great looking, but I sure wouldn't let that stop anyone from the wonderful workmanship and friendly professional manner of this company.

One table was my great aunt's and is a solid oak decorative table with a drawer that has a brass handle which was polished to a beautiful shine. I asked for the water stains to be removed and to make the table a shade lighter than original. He glued and tacked where necessary to return to the table to it's original sturdiness. I snapped before and after pictures for my own reference and was so happy with the renewed look while maintaining the tables original beauty. I know my aunt and mom would be very happy with the renewed life given to the tables.
The second table was my grandmothers and is a clover shaped decorative table with a quarter cut to show the woods natural grain. David and company did a fantastic job in bringing the tables natural beauty out in the grain and stained it the original color. We were so happy with how this table turned out it was hard to believe it ever hung in a garage under appreciated for over 10 years.
I would highly recommend Tand T Refinishing and we will be using them in the future.

David did a fabulous job refinishing our 1940's water damaged hutch.
There was extensive veneer damage from moisture, which he repaired
beautifully. I was stunned at the final result, he did a truly amazing
job. he offered convenient times to drop off and pick up the piece. he
made the major and minor repairs to the piece which we didn't expect.
With the veneer being damaged so badly, it was truly amazing to see the
final product. it was more than we could have expected and worth every
penny.

David was excellent. He met me at his shop during off hours so I could drop off the bed that was to be refinished. He completed the job in less than a week. The price was reasonable and fair. AND...he did a beautiful job. The bed also needed repair work which was included in the price. The bed is over 50 years old and is something I had slep in as a child, so I was expescially appreciative of his fine work. David is absolutely who I will call when I am able to have another piece refinished.

The owner returned my call immediately after contacting him. I told him what I wanted to do. We discussed the project over the phone and met in April to complete the project. Very pleased with the outcome and final project.

It went fabulously! Not only did T and T get this job done in one day, but I paid much less than I ever imagined I would. The chest loooks terrific and no-one would ever know that this piece had been worked on. The paint looks great and the woodworking they did is perfect. i would recommend T and T to anyone who needs furniture repaired or refurbished and I will definitely be back.
