He saw the stove leaking smoke from the direct hook up. He chipped some of the caulk away and replaced it with new and put some over top of some of the old. He then cleaned the chimney and advised it was clean and good to go. I started a fire the next day and smoke still coming into the room. He returned and put more caulk over the old that was there. Again waited a day to dry and started the fire with the same result of smoke in the house. I called another chimney sweep and they came and removed over a 5 gallon bucket of creosote from the chimney. It was totally blocked so he did not totally clean when he was here. Started the stove and works perfectly. I paid Southard Comfort services $500. The 2nd company I hired Only charged $239 and fixed the problem in 45 minutes.
