They are capable of doing excellent work. The man did early draws and then did not show up. They did not complete the job and refused to warrant work when five switches had already gone bad. We did not get a refund and then, he threatened us. When we called to try to get him to come out and complete his work, he threatened us with a lawsuit. He threatened to seek his attorney on us. I filed a complaint with the HMIC, but they do not do electrical. So, I called electrical. They talked to him and he did nothing, but there was no enforcement. What sad is, his work is the best ever. His knowledge, he knows his stuff. He came out and a lot of the work he did was excellent at the end, but he just walked away.

Mark H Anderson Electrical Services is the WORST experience I have ever had with an electrician. Don’t let Mark’s friendly first impression fool you. Once he has your money, he will show his true colors. I needed my old kitchen rewired and walked Mark through everything I requested. Mark H Anderson did NOT write anything down. Not one single thing. And when I asked him later why something wasn’t done like I had requested, he SCREAMED at me for changing the project!?! This happened more than once. I even had him itemize tasks in the quote to ensure it was done as agreed. This didn’t matter, because he still wired things incorrectly despite that, and blamed me again for changing the job! He instructed me to find some special dimmer switch for my lights. He claimed that this was the only way to make it work. It turns out the dimmer switch wasn’t necessary, nor did it even exist. And he is a so-called specialist? He consistently “forgot” to bring equipment with him to complete my job, but insisted he get paid anyway. He has already been paid for most of the job, despite not completing many of the tasks. I have left several texts and phone messages for him over the past 3 months and he has NOT returned my call. My kitchen remains unfinished and abandoned by this incompetent excuse for an electrician. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and posting this review on ALL the websites that review Mark H Anderson Electrical Services. I sincerely hope that this review warns people of this unscrupulous electrician so he can’t take advantage of anybody else!

"hello, i have done several jobs for this customer and was very happy with our work but the bad thing this customer does not show his color he says about me he never stiks to contract changes major things everytime you come back to job never wants to py you what cost to do and says i forgot to put in contrcat he signs and i should have told him about other ways to do rpoject . he constantly adds things to work and changes as you are there working and really starts pulling his hair because he cannot make a decision and when you try to help he tells to to wait and stop what you doing and come back when he make up his mind. he wants you to come to his project and work on things he has added and nothing to do with keeping job going as per contract. the jobs we have done actually cost me money for he could not understand in his head what we were doing after many times before starting project discussed exactly what was to be done and then he worl change his mind and then tell you to come back when he calls . when you dont answer same day calls when you are working on other jobs he leaves nasty messages and who wants to call back for this last job for kitchen it has been going o for 4 months . he calls to have us come 40 minute drive to talk or do two hrs work i have just called again he has not called in two days so i can find out if job completely ready . weeks in time for he cannot remember what was discussed or the changes he whats to do , then again we cannot finish. this customer did not find me through angies list it was though other on line company. we have done a great job holding our breathe and doing more then cont5cat and doing professional installation to the stage this job is at . i only ask for money for when phase of job is completed i have funded this complete project cause it takes months for this customer to get something done for us to complete a phase of work to get paid. thank you have great day everyone"

While all the work was ultimately done in an acceptable manner, communication was horrible. I provided a 3 in one switch for light and fan which he did not use, and against my request installed three separate light switches which looked horrible, and then time had to be wasted correcting it and fixing the drywall. He gave us a quote for a third of what the total bill amounted to, and when questioned said that he was only quoting one specific part of the job. I made a major mistake by not getting everything in writing upfront. When I asked for an itemized breakdown of labor and supplies to understand how the bill had escalated so dramatically from the range we had expected what I received was vague at best with none of the itemized breakdowns I had requested. After emails and texts dragging on for weeks, we finally just paid it. Ultimately the work was all done well, but I felt really ripped off. BE SURE TO GET DETAILED ESTIMATE IN WRITING IF YOU USE THIS PROVIDER--ASSUME NOTHING!

"why would i do a project the way the customer does not want done she atstes 1500.00 and that was what just cost was and finally paid . we did other work and did not ask for more money this customer wants things done for free and i donot put up with this anymore for i have tried to help people to get more work later down the road repeat and when you reduce your price they keep asking for more money off price cause they could not afford job to be done in first place"

I found Mark Anderson through the recommendation of our contractor for a remodeling job we were doing. There were significant delays on Mark's part in actually showing up to do the work. When the work was finally completed, it was done fairly well. I called Mark back to fix one additional outlet. Initially, Mark returned my call the next day and said he would call me back in the morning with the time his guy would arrive. That was three weeks ago, and he hasn't returned my repeated calls since. You would think that after doing $1800 worth of work, he could send his man back to fix one more outlet. The contractor had trouble getting him to show up for the bigger job. I wouldn't bother with him at this point.

"mr [Member name rmeoved] i did alot of work in your house for contractor for months fixing what work you and others did wrong and you called me back month later to do this job for we did such nice job and we did fix receptacle in hallway that had nothing to do with the work we did . if i did not do my job and your are not happy why have you friended me on linked in network to keep i touch again another customer who cannot remember things and have to find some drama for the day"

There was a home inspection done on my house. One of the kitchen receptacles showed a Reversed Polarity when tested with a electrical tester by the home inspector. Mark was contacted and I described the problem. Straight forward fix. He quoted me $75 to come out and fix the problem. He arrived at 10:00 AM the next day as promised and immediately starting working on the problem. Mark did an outstanding job. Not only did he correct the reversed polarity on the receptacle found by the home inspector, he corrected another receptacle that was also wired incorrectly right next to it. Lastly, Mark corrected another GFCI receptacle where the ground wire was touching the neutral wire causing the receptacle to trip and not reset in the kitchen. Mark was there for about 1 hour and corrected all 3 receptacles mentioned above. He charged me the same price and he initially quoted over the telephone which was $75.00. He was very clean and polite the entire time.
