I NEVER, EVER USED MY BASEMENT IN THE 12 YRS. I'VE LIVED IN MY HOUSE TO HANG OUT IN OR ENTERTAIN IN VERY OFTEN BECAUSE IT WAS SOOO UGLY, BUT NOW THAT MR. PETTIE HAS RENOVATED IT AND MADE IT SOOOO AMAZING, I AM DOWN THERE ALL THE TIME! MY HUSBAND CAN'T GET ME OUT OF HIS/OUR MAN-CAVE!!!
AND MY KITCHEN - I LOVE TO COOK, BUT HATED THE 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF WALLPAPER ON MY WALLS AND OBVIOUSLY DREADED DOING THE JOB MYSELF OF STRIPPING AND PAINTING FOR ALL THESE YRS. SO I HAD MR. PETTIE STRIP AND PAINT MY KITCHEN AS WELL AND TRULY LOVE BEING IN THERE THAT MUCH MORE! 
I BEYOND HIGHLY RECOMMEND STEVE PETTIE AS THE KINDEST, MOST CONSIDERATE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DID I SAY CREATIVE CONTRACTOR I HAVE MET AND WILL GLADLY SHARE HIM! I JUST HOPE I CAN GET HIM BACK WHEN I NEED HIM AGAIN SOONER THAN LATER!!!

Estimate- Basement Family Room
        
Estimate includes labor and materials (except tile), all primer & paint, and expendable supplies.
 
All waste materials will be removed from premises.
       
Please remove and safely store personal property from family room prior to start of work.
Item #1- Wall refinishing
1.     Remove existing corner moldings, existing door to storage
area, and drywall from bulkhead.
2.     Laminate over all existing wood panel wall surfaces in
basement family room with ½” regular drywall. 
Install drywall to bulkhead.
3.     Install ½” drywall stop bead (J-molding) at top and bottom
edges of new drywall.
4.     Tape and finish all new drywall panels; misc. point-up.
5.     Install new 30” pre-hung 6-panel door assembly at storage
area; reuse existing lockset.
6.     Prime & paint all new drywall surfaces.  Prep and paint existing trim and (3) interior
doors at family room side only.
Item #2- Ceramic tile flooring
1.     Remove existing carpet and tack strips.
2.     Level/straighten concrete floor surface to reasonably flat
plane.  This procedure will be billed at time plus materials.  Estimate to be provided after carpet is
removed.
3.     Install up to 300 sq. ft. of 12” x 12” floor tile; apply grout and clean floor.
4.     Install paint-grade shoemolding as needed; prep and paint.
Item #3- Refinish stairs to 1st floor
1.     Remove existing carpet and tack strips.
2.     Install prefinished oak treads & risers at main stairs to 1st floor.
3.     Prep and paint skirt boards.
On the side, added 4 recessed lights in ceiling and as favor to homeowner, reattached ceiling ductwork that was hanging  
from our ceiling and we never noticed it! Steve and his sidekick Austin are AWESOME!!!!
