AROCON Roofing & Construction

I chose them because they planned on using three-quarter inch plywood and architectural shingles which I wanted. They also did a quality job, and they had a price that was half of another roofer. Additionally, they completed the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves which I appreciated.

It was a rocky beginning. I signed the paperwork and put the deposit down in January of 2013 and they didn't actually start the work until April. I was told the work would begin in a few weeks after I signed. A few weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I called and called. Each time I called I was always told that the project manager was in a meeting and that he would call me back. He never would. Whenever I would actually get a hold of him, I was told that it would start within a few weeks. Eventually, I just had to give the project manager an ultimatum that they either started or I would need a refund. That worked because they actually came out when they said they were going to. To exacerbate the poor communication, they had the person who did my estimate leave as well as the initial project manager leave, so I am cutting them some slack (as you can see I gave them an overall "A"). As far the actual work, it went very well. This was a very difficult job because the new roof (standing seam steel) was for the turret on the third story of my house. The turret itself is more than a story high with a very steep pitch. If you are familiar with standing seam steel roofs, you will know that it is a special skill and is not that easy even with a low to moderate pitched roof. They also put a new roof on a gabled-end roof that connects to the turret. I love the way it looks and it hasn't leaked, which is why I waited so long to post my review; I wanted to wait for some good rain storms to make sure there were no leaks. The crew that came out were outstanding. One of the workers alerted me to a potentially hazardous electrical problem on a section of the roof that they weren't working on, which I was truly grateful for. They treated my young, curious children very nicely. I am giving this company an "A" because of the final product and the fantastic crew, even though the communication was extremely bad in the beginning.

This roofing project was a bit out of the ordinary, a geodesic dome. I built my house 35 years ago & I was in need of a new roof. This was the first contractor I ever hired to work on my house, all previous work I did myself, including the original roof. The salesman was very attentive, detail oriented, & took lots of notes. Unfortunately all of the concerns I expressed to to him did not trickle down the chain of command. Some of these details were the overlap of shingles from one triiangle to the next. The set back of the shingles around skylights & all the bottom courses needed to be in the same horizontal plane. The crew showed up to begin work expecting the materials had been delivered, but they had not. Someone left to pick up materials while others started removing the old roof. This was repeated two more times because the correct amount of materials was not delivered as expected. The head of the roofing crew was polite and llistened to my concerns. The site was left watertight and clean every day. The project included shingled roof, flat roof & rain gutter. All products to be used were reviewed between myself and my salesman. Several weeks passed between signing the contract and begining work, so I thought all materials world be available when needed. Completion was delayed several times because the materials were not ordered ahead of time. What was suppose to be a four day project ended up taking three weeks. The project is finished and it looks good, but not exactly the way I had hoped. Friends who have seen the project are impressed. We have had several very heavy rain storms and there has been no issues. I would use Arocon again, but would review the project with a project manager on site before work began and insist all materials be on site as well. Steve

Arocon Roofing did an excellent job at communicating their product and service they were to provide. The representative gave a great demonstration and was able to suggest a shingle that not only matched our current roof, but was also going to give us a tax credit. The representative was not pushy in any way and even included repairing a flashing problem I had in an area that I was not asking them to work. Arocon Roofing was flexible in when they could come out, which I wanted to be a Saturday so I could supervise the work. They allowed me to go up to the roof prior to finishing and inspect, and upon finish the roof. Communication was great, and all of the workers were very polite and knowledgeable. They did a pretty good job cleaning up, and even offered to allow me to keep the extra shingles. I would recommend them.

The quality of the work was excellent. Timeliness of the job was bad. Original contract stated that the job should take 5 to 8 weeks. Started the second week of March finished 21 weeks later. Also had difficulty getting in touch with the company sometimes as many as 4 calls required to get a call back. Towards the end of the project they had someone call me everyday to check on progress. Also the company advertised in your booklet that they offer a 10% discount for Angies list customers. After I was given the price I showed them their coupon . I was told they already had calculated the discount into the price. I guess my question would be " How did they know I was as Angie's list member?" and if so why should I pay the fee for Angie's list if the coupon they placed in your booklet was already figured into the price.

They came out within a few hours. After looking at the roof they didn't even need to tarp it. They were able to use some adhesive to seal a few spots. This saved us a lot of money in materials and in labor. They were finished very quickly and we didn't have any more leaks, even though the rain continued through the weekend. They also took pictures while they were on the roof so they could show me the problem areas. The final price was much lower than the original quote. Overall a great experience. Ultimately we will probably need a whole new roof and they will be the first on our list to call.

Arocon is always a pleasure to work with. From quote to finished work, they are always punctual, professional, and get the job done right and on time. Our projects all proceeded exactly as planned and on time. Quality of work was superior, and we were extremely happy with the results. They replaced and painted 11 passage and closet bi-fold doors in our house with paneled ones, and put on the new knobs we ordered, as well. The doors all look and work fantastic. One bedroom ceiling was in need of repair - they skimmed and repainted, and all was perfect. We had circa 1970's formica cabinets in the dining room and had them remove them, and build custom shelving in its place. We specified the exact details of what we needed, down to the most minor of details and the carpenter did the work precisely as we wanted. The finished project looks excellent. We have used Arocon for many jobs, and are always impressed and satisfied. We have also recommended them to many friends and neighbors and they, too, have positive feedback and thank us for the referral. We highly recommend them.

I would not have thought it could take FIVE weeks from the day we signed the contract, until our roofing and gutter replacement job would be completed. I know we asked that the start date of our job be moved up, which it was by two days. We completely regret having asked for this consideration, as the construction crew to build the patio roof arrived without knowledge of the job, nor the proper tools to complete the job. As a result of this, they admitted, it took them hours longer to complete than it should have. (Looking back now, this two-man crew was the nicest, most polite and professional crew that we dealt with, plus they did an amazing job of cleaning-up; followed by the individual repair man who replaced the rotted roof decking and was then stranded at our house for about four hours.) We signed a contract on Friday evening, August 24th to have our roof and gutters replaced, as well as have a roof over our back patio constructed. During our negotiations, a verbal commitment was made to have the job started within a 7 ? 10 day time period of when the contract was signed. Time was of the essence for us, as we wanted to start a solar panel installation project immediately upon completion of the new roof. And time was especially critical to the solar panel installation, so we would receive the maximum state tax credit of $5,000, which could be stopped at any time. On Tuesday, August 27th, I received a phone call from Jason at Arocon to tell me the start date of our project would be Thursday, Sept 13th. This was almost three weeks after we signed the contract, and not really the quick start that I was hoping for. After I complained about this, my husband spoke to someone, and a start date two days earlier, Sept 11th, was decided upon. Two workers (Mike and another guy) showed up on Monday; with no materials at all, no detailed knowledge of our requirements for building the porch roof (which involved restrictions, due to the forthcoming solar-panel installation), and an inadequate tool supply (no nail gun ? they nailed each nail by hand, no hand saw ? they borrowed ours, etc.). They explained to me that ours was the fourth construction job they had going simultaneously and that most of their tools were at a different jobsite. Late in the day on Tuesday, Jason called to make sure the crew had shown up and that construction was going well. At that time, I specifically asked if roof removal and new installation, as well as gutter removal and installation were still going to be completed by Thursday. He assured me that it was all set. Before Mike left on Tuesday, he told me he would be by at some point on Wednesday, to add one more board and complete some other finishing touches. Before they left, they cleaned up probably better than it was when they arrived. Wednesday, however, came and went with no one arriving or calling from Arocon. This meant the roofing & gutters would have to both be removed and replaced in one day. I figured it would be a long day, but since Jason had just assured me on Tuesday that it was possible to finish by Thursday, I saw no reason to doubt him. In fact, I trusted him so much that on Tuesday, when he confirmed we would be done by Thursday, I scheduled the closing of our refinancing for Friday afternoon. For reasons stipulated by the mortgage company, the new gutters were supposed to be installed prior to our actual closing. When I realized late in the day on Thursday that the gutters were not actually going to be installed that day, I called the office to confirm they would be installed on Friday, the next day. I again spoke to Jason, and this time he did not even know if the gutters had been ordered yet. He said he would call me the next morning. When I finally heard from him the next afternoon, he informed me that the gutters would be installed on Sunday. Sunday morning came, the gutter crew arrived and shortly after they arrived they informed us they did not have enough gutters with them to complete the job. They continued to remove the gutters, which I did not understand. Then right before they left, they also mentioned that the color of the gutters was white, when it should have been Colonial Ivory. Once again, I assumed the gutters would be installed the next day, and again, I was wrong. The next afternoon I was informed the gutters were listed incorrectly in the contract, had to be ordered again and would be available for pickup on Wednesday. This pushed installation of the new gutters to Thursday. It took me a while to learn, but now I know not to believe what the office scheduler told us, well, really ever. It started with the ?confirmation? of what day the project would be completed, which was provided after the (+/- 4 day) job had already begun, and managed to be incorrect by more than a week. Continued with him telling me that he would convey my request to the appropriate people on a Friday, yet on Tuesday, when I followed up and asked him the status, he told me ?that is not my responsibility.? (Now I have no problem if someone tells me that initially; I do have a problem when they tell me they will handle and then do nothing.) And finally, we had to ask repeatedly for the rolling magnet to return, and were assured at each stage that it would be, which it was not (more on that later). Then we were told a specific day it would absolutely be there, and it was not. I would recommend, in the future, that you do not remove the current gutter systems when you do not have the replacement system readily available. We were already having a moisture issue in the basement with the old gutter system, because of the way the gutters traversed around right angles on the front of the house. Your company?s technique to remove them with no replacements available, was a less than stellar idea. Of course, we had an extensive thunderstorm with high winds during the four days we were without gutters. Since we had some time without gutters, we did some inspecting of the roof decking ourselves and found three separate areas where the decking was either rotted or missing entirely. Although our contract stated that the roof decking would be inspected and ?repair/replace any rotten sheathing,? this did not happen. When I asked why this was not replaced before the new roof shingles were installed, I was informed that ?they cheated and they got caught.? Finally, someone gave me an honest answer. As they were removing the gutters, when no replacements were available, they paid no mind to where the nails went as they pulled the gutters off. No magnet was rolled, no plants were protected and cigarette butts were found in numerous places ? some of which could have been from the roofing crew. Cigarette butts can be fatal if ingested by dogs, of which we have three. As we both feared when we were finding so many loose nails on our property, my husband stepped on a nail. It was sitting flat head down on the driveway and went straight through his shoe and into his foot. We both thought you would have had the rolling magnet out here the next day, to avoid additional injuries and/or medical expenses, but that was not the case at all. In fact, we had to ask for it repeatedly and did not actually see if for more than a week. My husband did visit his doctor the next day, missing three hours of work and incurring $232 worth of medical expenses for an office visit and tetanus shot. To Arocon's credit, they did reduce our bill by the $232 for the medical expenses. And due to my continual complaining, they did replace some of the rotted roof decking. They did not answer all of my complaints though, and finally decided it was more important to be done with me, than to receive their final $315 payment. Honestly. That is what happened. We don't want you to go away happy; we just want you to go away. Priceless. I still have the emails from them to prove it. And if you are curious as to whether or not the job was completed on time for us to receive the $5,000 local tax credit - we are scheduled to receive it...in 2018. (Perhaps Arocon was somehow involved in the scheduling?)

Ricky and his crew showed up on time and he explained what the job entailed. the crew was outstanding. The job was completed in one day and we were very pleased with the job. The clean up was so good, it was like they weren't even here.

The company was professional, responsive and competent overall. When the job was done the only thing I noticed was new gutters. Excellent clean up. In particular the estimator, Rick Harris, provided me valuable guidance in terms of issues I had with my old gutters. They were 5 inch and could not adequately accomodate the water flow from th type of roof I have. I had a problem with overflow and a black reisdue on the outside of the gutters from this. He recommended 6 inch gutters. The price on these was still under the estimates I had from other companies for 5 inch gutters

My expectations were met and exceeded. The porcelain tile floor was beautifully finished. The sink vanitory fit very nicely and was accompanied by a matching mirror which were sold as a set. Chad of Arocon met me at Home Depot and guided me through the selection process. He allowed me to choose what I wanted : tiles, sizes of tiles, paint, trim, accessories. ( Things that I would not have thought of.) I appreciated his taking time to guide me through this process. This was a small area, and the contractor team worked well within the area available. As I said, my expectations were exceeded. The contractor team were professional, talented, neat and involved me in the decision-making process. I am an older female and have not always had this respect from other companies. This was refreshing. I have no complaints. The office calls daily to make sure that you are pleased with the progress being made. I definitely would use Arocon again. In fact, I look forward to future projects with Arocon.

The whole experience with this company was horrible. From the time they came out, until we finally were fed up and felt like the estimate was extremely high just so they didn't have to do the work. The guy who came out to do the estimate seemed unhappy to be there and not at all interested in really figuring out our problem. After he came out and promised us an estimate within a few days, we had to call the office numerous times to try and get in touch with him because we had not received an estimate. Finally we spoke with him and were promised the estimate by email that evening. That never happened. After more phone calls asking why we were not getting a response he finally sent the estimate. It was extremely high. We were very unhappy with this company and would never ever use them or recommend them. Very disappointing for someone who has such high reviews on Angie's List.

Aside from a few weather related issues beyond anyone's control the project was completed in a very timely fashion. Roof was removed and replaced in one day including replacement of multiple sheets of sheathing. Gutters and guards were completed the following day. Consultant (Eric) and office personnel were courteous and polite.

This is a very long story of misrepresentation, non-communication, incompetence, pressure tactics, excess charges, unexpected and unexplained fees, sloppy work, cheap materials, and bad-mouthing of other customers and other employees. The workers were mostly decent, though their competence was uneven. Our salesman misrepresented the cost. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE CLAIM THAT THEY CAN FINANCE YOU FOR 12 MONTHS SAME AS CASH. IT IS NOT TRUE. There will be extra hidden fees for the service. We were pressured to fill out an Angie's List review form before the job was finished, and the project manager whisked it away, refusing to let us keep it until the job was actually done. I am furious that I have thereby added somewhat positively to their profile. The right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing. It took nearly 2 months to get the work started. A week after the first two stages (demolition and roofing) an entirely new crew came out to do exactly the same work. The project manager and the sub-contractor kept blaming each other for all the foul ups that ensued including not having the right parts, not having enough materials, not bringing a ladder to do roof work! Calling at 7AM, not showing up when we were expecting them, showing up when we weren't expecting them. With the exception of Kelly in the office who was uniformly polite and helpful, we found the office staff to be much the same: the financing, scheduling, and management people all pointing fingers at each other and never giving us a straight answer. There were the bizarre moments when the project manager bad-mouthed other customers, suggesting they had terrible taste or weren't smart. God only knows what he said to others about us. The worst was that we were pressured to sign the final financing paper work before the job was actually done. Hard lesson learned. Once they had their money it was like battling City Hall to get them to finish the job properly. Hardware had already started rusting before they came out to do the necessary sealing. Our lovely new white railing is now stained. I am not giving them a F because they seem to have fixed the roof, but we found them to be totally untrustworthy.

The Aracon rep who did the estimates climbed up on the roof and inspected the area needing work. Reps from other companies made their estimates from below. He gave us a detailed rundown of the expense, which beat out competitors. We found it easy to schedule work. The roofers came on time and completed the job neatly and within the time-frame they had given us. They have also scheduled plasterwork for early in September. So far we appear not to have further leaks.

Did a great job-fast, neat, and great men. The painters were all exceptional. Hard workers, cared about the house and very nice and professional. The project manager was very present and has very good managerial skills.

Unfortunately, this work was a fiasco. Ultimately, we got what we paid for, but not without a huge amount of hassle and extra time. I was excited to work with this company given the excellent reviews and the extremely responsive salesman who came to our house on a Friday evening and was very knowledgeable, respectful and prompt. He got me an immediate contract, came back out to look closer at something I had questions about, and revised our contract accordingly. THe price was in line with the other quotes we had received. I also received a follow up call from the office both times he came out. After I mailed the check, the quality of my experience went downhill quickly. My check was cashed on 4/15 which was when i was told to expect the job to start. Despite our follow up calls, we did not receive a call from a scheduler until 5/23. We then received a shipment of materials despite the fact that I had not agreed to a time for the job- therefore, the materials needed to sit in my house for a week. AT that point, I called to say I was not feeling very confident about the logisitics, etc. and the supervisor came to my house and assured me that he would be my contact and that if anything did not go well, i could call him. He also stated someone would pick up the materials but they never did. The job then started the following week and it was obvious that there was a lack of communication and coordination- the needed materials were not there and the workers and foreman were not briefed on the issues that had already taken place. From there, it got worse. The column job was a nightmare in that they did not cut the composite columns in such a way that they were flush, but were instead only touching roughly 25% of the base. They stated this was not a problem but when we contacted the company where we got the columns they were clear that 100% had to be touching and that the warranty would only be good if they were installed properly. The supervisor stated that they would use a shim, which of course would not be acceptable in the event that the warranty was needed. My partner took off work to ensure that they did the job correctly, though even with her there it became very obvious that the workers did not have the skill or experience needed to do the job. in addition, Although we had been assured by the salesman that the our porch would be thoroughly sanded, the painter did not come equipped with any supplies to sand. She again had to insist that the job be done thoroughly, which meant they had to make a home depot trip to purchase a sander. I do know that it was important to us that the job be done thoroughly, and we discussed this with the salesman. I don't think that we were being unreasonable or expecting something that we didn't pay for. There were other small things that followed such as not waiting the right amount of time between coats of paint, and minor paint spills that were left. All in all, we were anxious to be finished- mostly because we are not professionals and don't want to be in the position of supervising details of a job like this. In addition, having to communicate the same thing to a number of different people- 2 supervisors, several office people, the workers- was irritating at best. They did say they have had turnover at the company, etc. so we must have been one of the jobs that fell through the cracks. lucky us. Too bad it didn't end there- the next big rainstorm it became clear that the gutters were also not installed correctly. I took video of water pouring out of the front of the gutter and bubbling up from the downspout and down the side of the house. I was assured that they would send someone out to fix it. when they sent someone, it was the same person who installed it who stated that he didn't think anything was wrong with the job. At this point, my partner was furious and we insisted on going back to the original salesman. Ultimately they did come out and reinstall new gutters and a new downspout and they appear to be working at this time. I did notice that I got a lot more attention once I posted a review on Angies List. I do appreciate that they ultimately came and fixed the job, though honestly I would not work with them again given the time and hassle that it took to get this seemingly simple job done right.

Angie's List members beware! Based on positive reviews by other members, we chose Arocon to replace our roof. A property inspection had disclosed the existing roof was installed incorrectly (failure to add H clips), requiring a complete replacement. Communication wasterrible as our salesperson Larry told us the wrong date and then failed to schedule the attic insulation we ordered. On the date of the roof replacement, during the first few hours, no one on the job spoke English and could not answer any questions. We were then shocked to discover the workers installing the roof in the same method as the existing roof, no H clips, even though this was a known issue. We spotted this error after they had laid the first two rows of plywood. We called the office to complain and they started using the H clips after that but did not go back and fix the first two rows. We called the office again and were told that the roof is covered under a warranty and they would fix it if it buckles again. We can only hope.... The roofers failed to bring all necessary parts and needed to return the next day to complete the job and install a solar light tube. We then had to show the employee how to install it correctly. We are also concerned that Arocon?s prices are overinflated as we had also inquired about electrical work and Arocon?s estimate was 3 times higher than another Angie?s List company. We submitted complaints to the salesperson and Arocon without any responses. All we can say is we are thankful to be present during the work have some roofing knowledge to catch Arocon?s mistakes. On the plus side, we have had some rain storms since the install and have not had any apparent leaks so far. The one worker that did speak English was courteous and they did clean up well after the job. However, given the issues above, we will not do business this company again and urge others to use great caution if they chose to do so.

After hurricane Sandy I noticed I was getting water on my two chimneys during rain storms. I doubted the situation would improve itself with time. Arocon was the second company I contacted. Their estimate was half that of the other company and were similarly reviewed. The work itself went smoothly, I didn't have to be at home at the time. They cleaned up after themselves pretty well, and I could only tell they'd been there by looking at the chimneys from the street.

Arocon was punctual and responsive. The cost was reasonable and everyone I spoke with seemed to want my business. I was very impressed and I intend to use them in the future for all my roofing needs.

The work done was good but they were not reliable. The job was estimated at a week and they took over a month. There were days on end where nobody showed up. The same people rarely came so what we wanted had to be explained repeatedly. Several times we were told a crew was coming and nobody did. The office frequently didn't know where their crews were or why they hadn't come. They left large pile of glass-covered debris in our foyer, complete with a rotting banana peel, for days. We will not be using them again for future work on the house.

We recently contracted AROCON to replace our roof, fascia wrap and gutters on our home. Our experience began with the salesman Chris who came to our house multiple times at our convenience and responded to several phone calls to finalize the work to be done. At all times he was professional and willing to work with us. The roofing crew arrived on a Saturday morning. They first draped our deck and all landscaping with tarps to protect our property. They installed the new roof using the Certainteed Landmark Pro architectural shingles we had chosen. They were very courteous and polite at all times. It is clear that they take a lot of pride in their work. The crew finished the new roof and was leaving the job site by 2:00 PM. They did an excellent job and left the job site clean. The fascia and gutter crew arrived the next business day. They replaced the fascia wrap, seamless gutters and gutter guards. They did a nice job and were very polite. The project manager Jason arrived on Wednesday to inspect the completed project. Jason was extremely polite and professional. We are very pleased with the final project and we will have AROCON back for additional work at our home.

I joined Angies List to obtain what I thought would be screened contractors. For the most part this was true. I received three replies from AL contractors one from Sears which I did not select for AL contractors and on cold call. I interviewed 4 contractors, Sears estimator was a no show (they called the day before and indicated their estimator was not available and offered a $100 discount, I said no). Two of the estimators presented their company and product, replace my roof, as if I was buying a new car, offering various 'options'. Two were very straight forward with realistic questions and providing sound answers. The four quotes were $11,500 to $8,500. All four providing identical services. I contracted with AROCON based on the estimator, a partner of the company. I arrived home 5 minutes late for our appointment and found him on my roof taking measurements. He was onsite 45 minutes and I had a realistic cost estimate that evening. I've recommended AROCON three neighbors. The installation of the roof took place in one day. Stripped the 24 year old roofing materials to the plywood sheathing, applied weather guard to the entire perimeter, 15# tar paper to the roof and metal drip edging to the entire perimeter. New architectural shingles and a new roof by 1700 in the afternoon. Good, reliable company. They are replacing my gutters and downspouts next. Lee McM,

**Update 8/21/13** I want to add that I received excellent service from my latest interaction/work with Arocon. I was contacted by David who was genuinely interested in helping remedy the issues I've had. His responses were timely and the service work was prompt and professional. This has changed my opinion about Arocon, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future. I choose AROCON because I wanted to work with a company instead of a handyman incase I had issues with the cabinet install. When receiving quotes I asked the sales representative if they install IKEA type cabinets and he said that the guys have done it before. What I should have asked is ' Will the person installing MY cabinets have experience putting together and installing IKEA cabinets.' As it turns out the guy that did the install did not have any experience. I choose IKEA cabinets originally planning on doing the instal myself, but I had to have pancreatic surgery and knew that it would end up taking me months to do it myself. IKEA cabinets are super easy to install, so even a handyman with some experience should be able to adequately put together and install. However, I think that it took the guy more time than he anticipated to put them together and the sloppiness showed. Examples are 3-4 missed nails in the backing board which you can clearly see when the cabinets are empty, and the alignment of some of the doors are slightly off. All in all it looks like a handy homeowner installed the cabinets. They are up, and the kitchen looks 100% better than what was there before. I am glad that I choose to go with a company instead of a handyman. I had an issue with the dishwasher and after weeks of back and forth trying to get the original guy to come in and fix the problem, AROCON sent out a crew of 2 workers who promptly fixed the issue. They arrived wearing AROCON shirts and actually had a work van instead of the minivan that the original guy was working out of. The staffers in the office were always responsive, and I think my issue was that I got the new guy, and a lazy project manager who didn't bother showing up beyond the first day. I feel like I paid the cost of having a company do the install but received the work of a handyman doing work on the side. AROCON's quote was in the middle of the prices, so I didn't go with the cheapest simply because I wanted the job to be quick and professional. I think the company as a whole did a fair job, and the service from the staffers made up for some of the poor work of the guy actually doing the install. This was my first time hiring for work to be done at my house, and I will be more prepared and have more questions going forward with the next series of projects.

Arocon's team worked quickly and got a ton of work done fast. A lightning rod was accidentally broken and one of the project supervisors continually searched until he found a perfect replacement. The new roof and gutters look beautiful and seem to be done correctly. During the project, the workers were a bit noisy. The debris could have been cleaned up along the way a lot better than it was, and I found nails everywhere (probably 2-3 dozen in total, even in the parking lot). However, anytime I brought an issue up, it was addressed and corrected almost immediately.
