Great! This is the fourth or fifth time we have used Roland and his team. They do great work, keep work areas clean, and are just nice people. It can be stressful to have an older home and we so appreciate having Roland and his crew help us with the upkeep. I have recommended him to a number of friends and neighbors who have been similarly pleased with their work. I am in the process of replacing my front door (process can be a nightmare and pricey) and will have Roland come back once the door is shipped to install it. I wouldn't own an old home without these guys!

I had to have them come back three times and redo the work. Instead of removing the glue from the wall, he just painted over it three times. They were relatively responsive and certainly courteous, but they just didn't do the job right. I even had a representative from the paint manufacturer come out and tell me I was right, but they told me I didn't know what I was talking about.

"To whom it may concern, The member made a derogatory statement on my Angie's list page and here is my response to Angie's list rating. Regal Remodeling and Restoration LLC has never done any business with the member. I don't know her first name. I don't have any records of her number, email address, home address I have certainly never given her a proposal nor have I received any payment from this person. I believe my father did do work for her. My father has a company called Regal Decorators. When I was young I used to work for my father and his company. 3 Years ago I started my own company "Regal Remodeling and Restoration LLC". My father does his own thing and I do mine. But regardless of what he has done on his jobs it should not interfere with mine and represent my company in a poor fashion. I have held an A+ rating on Angie's list for a few years now. I'm not sure why the member is trying to attack my company when me and her had no business together. She claims to have seen a Regal Remodeling and Restoration truck outside of her house. But I've never had any such decals put on any trucks I use; a Regal Remodeling and Restoration truck does not exist. I drive a white F150 no lettering at all. My father drives a van that has all of his companies information on. It says clearly "Regal Decorators" with his phone number 301-831-0146 his information does not match mine in anyway besides the first word of "Regal" which is part of my last name. I'd like for the member to retract her statement off of my Angie's list and put her statement where it belongs. Please feel free to call me anytime if you have any questions or concerns. I believe to leave the member's statement on my Angie's list, she should have to provide something saying her and I did business together. She should have a canceled check with my companies name on it, or a proposal/contract with my companies info on it. All of my real client could provide this because I send all of my clients a detailed proposal before I do work. The member doesn't have anything saying Regal Remodeling and Restoration did any work for her because we did not do anything for her. Because of my bad timing we didn't start until December. Work was interrupted by rain, freezing temperatures and snow, but they still finished a week before Christmas. They had to strip off the old finish and sealant, a real struggle because it was applied by amateurs using the wrong stuff. Then they had to sand the wood to complete the stripping, much of it by hand. This took two guys more than two days. The rest of the job went according to plan--except for the weather. Roland had to drop by frequently to see if the wood was dry and warm enough to work. They even repainted the parts of the wall that the amateurs had splattered with stain. They used ladders and winches and never came into the house, and didn't make us drag our grill and heavy furniture inside. They cleaned up thoroughly and were cheerful to have around. The job took about seven man-days but he did not complain about the impact on his profit margin. I had to nag them to keep the gate closed for the dogs.

The work was done on time and the workers were conscientious, and polite. The job was very reasonably priced.
