VERY, VERY bad customer service!!!! Contacted this company for gutter cleaning and siding repair. I had to call their office at least 3 times to inquire a service date and a agreed upon service fee. After approx. 20 days of not hearing back from the office, (rain accuses) I gave up and begun another search for a more reliable customer friendly company. One day "out of the blue" their (Uncle Skeeters) workers showed up unannounced at my residence. Because I still needed my gutters cleaned and I was home, I allowed them to perform the work. I called their office immediately to inquire about the gutter repair and I was promised that I would be getting a confirmation phone call by the end of the day. (did not hear from anyone again) Two days pass and once again, the workers appeared at my residence without any prior notifications. I was very disturbed by this. No one was home and my siding is still not repaired. That was the last straw for me!!!! I spoke to everyone their (Uncle Skeeters) who has authority and all I get is; "we apologize"!! To be clear, it's not the work but the office I had issues with. The workers that responded cleared my gutters, did a great job and was very friendly and professional. Sincerely, Dave Favors

Uncle Skeeters did a terrible job. The first crew did incomplete work. The second crew was very rude and refused to clean the gutters. They simply ran water in our downspouts and left without notifying us. The third crew did a lousy job and stole a rake from us. Uncle Skeeters finally offered a $30 discount but only if we gave them a credit card. This was a completely empty gesture given the hours of rude service and an incomplete job.

the leak still exists after the work was done. I contacted them and requested that someone check the area when it is raining. I was told that they had a test that would show them what was happening, but as of this writing, no follow-up contact has been made with me. Still waiting for a fix to the problem that still exists.

removed and re-installed short section of guttering on side of porch to eliminate a leak down the side if porch. The owner assessed the required fix for the problem and said they could provide the fix by the removal and re-installation of that gutter.

They were very mediocre. They seemed very disorganized. I've had to call them back before to finish the job. They're not crooks, they just don't do a good job. My gutters are difficult to clean; they are willing to walk on my roof, which is three stories tall.

First of all, worst customer service ever! The roof project went fine and was completed on time and professionally. Our main issue was with the contractor doing the facia/painting work. We hired Uncle Skeeters specifically because they could do both jobs. Apparently they were just saying what we wanted to hear. They later admitted they used a contractor they'd never used before. They would show up... Then leave. Or not show up at all. The work was inconsistent - some of it we even had to complete ourselves! We were constantly pointing out HUGE spots that weren't completed and they had to keep returning again and again to complete it to our satisfaction. The Uncle Skeeters representative did not come back to check that the work was done, or done right. We had to keep pointing things out. And customer service! I called, emailed, left voice messages and they NEVER replied. We had issues with our gutters that they reattached leaking. They claimed they came back to fix the leak, but it continued to leak. We took photos, we took videos, we called, we emailed and Uncle Skeeters stopped even responding to anything. We have now noticed even more leaking and we may have to just get new gutters. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We hired Uncle Skeeters to install a new roof and also to repair/replace some facia board that was rotting as well as paint it. We chose them because they said they could do both jobs and we wouldn't need two contractors. Their sales pitch was friendly and through. Boy were we fooled....

It was great! They were here about 7:15 in the morning and they left at 2 o'clock and they did a wonderful job. The professionalism, service and clean up was excellent. Professionalism is part of the reason we went with with them. We interviewed four or five different companies and we thought that Uncle Skeeters Roofs & Gutters Inc was the most professional and the clean up job was very well done. Perhaps they are not the lowest priced but the professionalism and the efficiency in which they got the job done was very good and we thought we had a small problem afterwards and they came back right away and checked it out.

We used Uncle Skeeters Roofs & Gutters Inc for roofing. They removed two layers of roofing on the main house on the garage and they replaced the tile and shingles on the front roof.

Because I would not be home from work in time, the person answering the phone stated that I did not need to be present for the estimate. Some one would contact me later to advise me of the cost, I was told. I was contacted and given a qoute for the work, which seemed a bit high. Needing to get the gutters cleaned, I agreed. After setting the date for the cleaning, it was discovered that the estimate was mistakenly done on by neighbors, some what larger, home. Somewhat frustrated with the mistake, I Cancelled the cleaning and went with another service. The mistake made was minor one. Mistakes happen. The reason for the review is the unsolicited calls I get from uncle skeeters, several times a year telling me that it's time to re-cleaned and inspect my gutters. The calls continued after repeated requests to be taken off their call list.

I have requested an estimate numerous times. I should not have to make numerous inquiries just to receive an estimate. There are too many contractors out there willing to provide estimates in a timely manner. I have been told 3 times an estimate would be provided and to date I have yet to receive. If I have to chase down an estimate I will most likely have to chase down other things that could need follow up. Very disappointed.

I have used this company for many years and now I am fed up. After I scheduled the last service with them for the middle of October 2013 they showed up on Oct 1st without calling to confirm. The reason I have repeatedly asked them to let me know is because my water needs to be turned on so they can flush the drain. This time I was home and got the full treatment. Many times I've come home with their bill on my door after they performed the job...half the job . Today I arrived home just in time to see the guys leaving my driveway after performing service AGAIN and leaving a bill for $101.00. I called the company and explained that I paid the bill after getting service over 2 weeks ago and did not want to pay again. If they called me as they claimed I would have saved them the trip and me the anger over the workers ignoring me when asked a question. The service rep on the phone was very professional and apologized and told me the "new" girl made the mistake and he saw that I received service and would take this bill out of the system. I will not be using Uncle Skeeter's Roofs & Gutters of Waldorf, Md. 20604 anymore.

They came the first time when no one was at the house. It appeared that the gutters had been cleaned out, but the surfaces had not been cleaned of mildew which was part of the agreed upon work. We called to complain when we saw that two of the gutters were overflowing because the downspouts were still clogged. The crew came back with an old moldy broom and spent about 15 minutes essentially doing next to nothing and saying he had other work to do. We then emailed pictures to them and the response was basically we were unrealistic in our expectations and he was certain his employees did good work. We then had the painting crew cleanout the downspouts and wipe down the gutters to remove the mildew. The gutters now look and perform as they should. We then got a nasty email from them threatening to send his bill to a collection agency if we did not hurry up and pay his bill! We paid $175 for what work he did do (whatever that really was is hard to tell) because my wife just wanted to be done with the whole episode. I would not have these guys sweep the driveway, if I was there to watch!

If someone can get this company to return calls for services other than gutter cleaning, power washing and roof installation...maybe I could answer. They gave me an estimate for this job in early May...no call back, no action.

I've used Uncle Skeeters in the past and they did a good job but that was for gutter cleaning only. This time, I couldn't even get them on the phone to commit to an appointment for a ridge vent. 2 months ago, I called this company asking for an estimate - they jumped on this right away. A gentleman came out upon request. I told the company I wanted construction done the 1st week of July - they said that would be no problem at all. I also tried to follow up by calling, sending emails and returning their service agreement with my credit card number - no response. They've been promising for over a month to have someone call me. No one has called nor has my credit card been charged for the initial payment. The situation with this company is that they perform either gutter cleaning, power washing or roof installation. Any other services - like ridge vent installation - are placed at the bottom of their call-back and job lists. Do they want the work or not? If not...don't keep putting me off with a promise to return my calls. Nice staff...but no action.

Team arrived as scheduled and performed the work in a timely fashion. They disposed of the debris and did not damage any of my flower beds, gutters or house structure . Only issue I had was I paid the bill online but received numerous phone calls from them reminding me to pay my bill. The messages remained professional but after I realized the situation was not going to resolve itself I had to call them back and explain that the bill had already been paid and I had a bank statement to prove it. The calls ceased. I will schedule them again to perform gutter cleaning services after the fall.

We were skeptical at first, maybe just because of the company name, but we were pleasantly surprised! Easy to talk with, very responsive, on time, reasonably priced and they do great work with a quality follow up. What more could you ask for? They gave me a several day window when I called to request service and said they would call the night before they actually came, which they did. They connected their hoses to our spigot, put their ladders up, cleaned out heavy debris by hand and then flushed the gutters with water. When they were done, they took down the ladders, wrapped up their hoses and left an invoice at the door.

I've been using this company for almost 10 years, and the last few years have gotten steadily worse. Originally they were prompt and did a professional job cleaning the gutters on my home. The last few years they have shown up a month later than requested with no apology or advance warning (I schedule far ahead) and this year's fiasco convinced me to move to another company next year. Poor attitudes and poor services. No one called to tell me they would be 4 weeks late getting to my home to clean the gutters. The worker who eventually showed up, used a leaf blower to clean the gutters, missed two of them (requiring a call back to get those cleaned) and didn't clean the downspouts at all. The result of using a leaf blower was wet dirt all over my white house and the windows and screens (!) from blowing the wet decomposing leaves out of the gutters, instead of cleaning them out manually and removing the debris. I will never call this company again. I was a long term customer, but have now found a more reliable gutter cleaning company which came in to clean the gutters after the mess made by Uncle Skeeters. Not good to have to pay another company to clean up after the first one.

Three primary issues. First, I only needed the front and back gutters cleaned. The pricing seems to be on a home square footage basis. The crews took approximately 20-30 minutes and left debris on the porch and ground. Second, I specifically asked about the legal status of the crews. I was assured background checks were performed on the individuals. By any reasonable estimation, the individuals that arrived were illegal immigrants. This is not important to most, put really important to me. Lying about the crews legality shows the overall lack of integrity of the company. Third, even though $120 doesn't seem like a lot of money, the amount and quality work does not justify the cost. If you do work for someone, you at least clean up your mess.

They handled the insurance process, all I had to to was sign over the check and schedule a date to have the work done. They showed up on time and were done by the time I got home from work that afternoon. They cleaned up after themselves and did not trample bushes/flowers/edging, etc. Rep stopped by after work was completed to make sure I was satisfied.

After 4 weeks and one visit by the supervisor, we never got the service. They did send us a bill for the service and telephoned us 3 times to ascertain their quality of work. We have used them in the past but will no longer. What a waste of our time.

Very badly. They kept insisting the work had been done, when I know it was not. They made no effort to make this right, instead persisting with dunning phone calls, letters, and finally sending my bill to a collection agency.

I hired Uncle Skeeter's to clean my gutters. They were to come and do the job on May 11, 2011. I was at home all day waiting for them and they did not come. No one called to tell me they were not coming, or would be late. After this incident, Uncle Skeeter's called me several times and wrote letters insisting on payment. When I explained they had not done the job, they insisted that they had. I sent them a letter explaining that they had not done the work, and instead of offering to do the work, they sent my bill to a collection agency.

They do roof repair and replacement, gutter cleaning and things like that. We have used them to clean our gutters every year for about 5 years. There's only one criticism I have with them. When I had told them that I wanted it to be done next month because there are trees to fall, they said that they'll do it in 4 weeks and they were here 3 days later. All I have learnt to do is to not make an appointment until it's ready to be done. That's the only suggestion that I can make because they come early. I would advice not to give them an appointment within 3 weeks from now as they'll be there next week. What they are basically doing is whenever their guy is in the area, they'll do it. I understand that they save gas and they don't need to make a special trip for this one guy. The only problem happens to be that one will be stuck with clogged gutters later as the leaves have fallen and they have already made their visit. This is the only issue. Other than that, they are fine. I have 2 storeys plus a basement home. It's got 2 layers of roof and I spent $97. I usually get a $5 coupon so it ends up being $92. They are always very competent and always clean the gutters. Their price is descent. Their punctuality is okay because they do come early. Their professionalism is fine.
