OUTDOOR CREATIONS LANDSCAPE

This was something of a disaster. The workmen did fine with cutting things down and edging parts of the lawn, but I should have known that they were not knowledgeable of landscaping when they suggested that I have them out out tree roots that were emerging up into the lawn. The tree roots belong to trees of approximately 50 years of age, each of which is about 60-75 feet tall: great shade trees. Had the men removed the roots the trees would, of course, have died. The men worked hard and steadily, and took pride in their work, but unfortunately were not well trained by the company. When I pointed out to the contact person of the company that I was unhappy with the work, she politely asked what was wrong, but never bothered to come to see what kind of job her employees had done. The men had butchered a fine old tulip magnolia, cutting it to about 3-feet tall (perhaps not recognizing that it was not the same as the overgrown privet hedge behind it?), ripped out several plants including a small fig tree, a sage plant in the herb garden, and several shrubs, had cut off all the foliage of my spring bulb plants so that they may not return this year, and smothered everything with mulch (including dumping it on small, emerging hostas and on the rhizomes of irises, which prefer their rhizomes to bake in the sun), although they did not, in fact, much everything that was to have been mulched. The workmen, again, did a good job as far as they understood it, but they were poorly trained. Hiring a landscape company meant, to me, that I should not have to explain their work to them. The lack of concern by the company's representative with whom I dealt with the job that was done speaks for the lack of quality in the result.

The project went extremely well.  I would recommend Outdoor Creations Landscape Services to anyone.  The crew was on time and professional.  They cleaned the area at the end of each day and when the project was completed laid top soil and seed for the wear in my yard.  Before the project started, Outdoor Creations coordinated with me to ensure that my expectations were met and that both the contractor and customer were on the same sheet of music regarding the requirement.  The owner and staff would visit the site daily to ensure the project was going as planned.  The patio was installed within two weeks and selecting Outdoor Creations is one of the best decisions my wife and I made regarding home improvements. 

The installers are ICPI certified and the owner is licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Committee.

We were very happy with the work done by Outdoor Creations.  Lisa was very responsive and provided a prompt and reasonable cost estimate to accomplish the work we envisioned.  The work was done promptly, and the installation crew was very efficient and left the property clean and looking better than it had in a long time.  We would happily use them again.  In fact, we've approached them about doing some additional work for us. We're glad to have Outdoor Creations as somebody we can trust to make our home look its best.
