On this and three other occasions, the staff at Cox Automotive provided excellent service and found ways to save me money.  I wish all car shops were like this one.

Service from Cox's was excellent and I found them here on Angie's list. They had the truck for a week and for what needed to be done it was very understandable of why they needed it so long. They called every day to give us an update of what was going on with the vehicle and was very honest with pricing and what they had to do! We drove the truck about 300 miles this weekend and she rides good, speed odometer works and no idiot lights came on!  I will be using Cox's again and in the near future for things that need to be done to our vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone and will refer my friends to them. Very nice and friendly on the phone. You can tell they are very nice people just by talking to them over the phone.

They are very friendly and courteous. They called several times to update me on the status of my vehicle. They went above and beyond in giving us the service that we requested. They also provided a military discount because I am actively in the military.

We are new to town, so we used Angie's list to find a mechanic.  We were very satisfied with David's shop and work and plan on using them next time one of our cars needs help.

Ive been to most auto shops in Waldorf and this was the first time I didn't feel robbed. I will only go to Cox Automotive from now on.

I've been dealing with them for about 3 or 4 years. The service is excellent. Their motto is that they treat you the way they want to be treated and they do. I've never had any issues with my vehicle. If they say they are going to have my car ready at a certain time, 9 times out of 10 it is ready. They are very reasonable. They are top notch. They will shop around for the best prices. I don't take my truck anyplace else since I've been going to them.

I discovered this business via Angie's list.  I must say  I was throroughly impressed.   I had an issue with my truck where it was "jerking" and "thumping" while it ran.  One of the service members took the time to drive around with me so that he could pin point exactly what the problem was.  There was no charge for that service.  When we got back to the shop, a few of the guys gathered around my truck and tried to find its error.  It took about an hour and they fixed it.  The gentlemen that work here are honest and truly friendly.  They seem to really enjoy their job.  I will be coming back. :)

I had previously taken the truck to a Nissan dealer to have the check engine light diagnosed.  After they pulled the codes they seemed to have no idea what the issue was and wanted to charge me a second time for further diagnosis.  I just had some cracked belts replaced there and decided to have the major work done elsewhere.  Cox was able to easily determine that the knock sensor was bad and also found the cracked gas tank to be the source of the "evap gross leak".  The "random misfire" code was resolved by replacing the spark plugs and wires.  Some of the other work that was done was either suggested based on the mileage, or made sense to do at the same time other parts were replaced.  The staff was really friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  there was no pressure to do additional work and they called to update us on the diagnosis before the work was performed.  They use the manufacturer recommended parts (ie. platinum plugs in my case).  Some of the parts I needed had to be ordered from the dealer and Cox recognized that 2 of the parts recieved were incorrect for my vehicle before they were installed.  All in all I am thrilled to find a company that treats me the way they would want to be treated (thats their motto by the way).

We have used David Cox's company many times over the past years.  David is honest, reliable, a great communicator and is always quick to get the job done. 

CALLED AND MADE APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN THE NEXT DAY. THEY SAID THAT IT WOULD TAKE A DAY TO DIAGNOSE AND 1-2 DAYS TO REPAIR IF THERE WAS NO ENGINE DAMAGE. THE NEXT DAY WE WERE TOLD THAT AFTER TESTING WE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP AND NEEDED A WHEEL BEARING. TWO DAYS AFTER THE ESTIMATE THE VEHICLE WAS READY. THIS COMPANY HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT. THE SHOP IS CLEAN AND ORGANIZED AS IS THE RECEPTION AREA. ANOTHER PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.
