They were accommodating (I thought), with coordinating taking down our old fence so the company taking down some trees could come out the next day while fence was gone. But... they were to come out the following day and put up our new fence and never showed up - that was 12 days ago and no one will talk to us or reschedule and get our fence put up - or return our money so we can get another company out here immediately. We have 2 huge 110 and 150 lb dogs and both my husband and I had surgery where I can no longer lift over 30 lbs and 20 for my husband still over the last week as his surgery was only 3 weeks ago. So, therefore walking these dogs is only thing possible without the fence, but neither of us could afford to take chances if they were to pull or anything - we have now resorted to literally walking our dogs on leashes in our own back yard!!! 1st - We had to make a few calls to get a corrected contract emailed to us initially, then once we gave them our deposit of over $5,000, 2nd - we waited almost 2 weeks to call as we were not told anything. We found they HAD BEEN waiting on the permit and when they checked to see if it was there, it was! and no one had called to schedule anything. So working with the 2 companies (fence and trees) I thought was great but.... the day they were to take down the fence, they were there and trees were taking down next day by the other company, 3rd -but Clinton Fence never showed up on Friday Nov 8th. When we waited a few hrs and called, we were told there was an emergency ramp that had to be put up. Ok, fine - but.... no one informed us!? 4th - So we have been calling and texting every day since just trying to get our fence put up!! 5th - another person, Josh Wilson, called on behalf of the owner that we'd been talking to - Dawn, 6th - and said the guys tried saying we added on an area for our dogs when they took down fence and we did not - there was 1 gate and 1 fence panel for that area as the rest of dog area was back of garage/side of house/and around the other side is out deck. So we got that straight, then he said Dawn said7th - it wasn't scheduled in all actually for that Friday, which, my husband informed him the guys had the paperwork when they took down the fence on Wednesday and said we were scheduled for Friday and they'd be back out to put up the new fence!!!! RIGHT ON THE PAPERWORK IN THEIR HANDS! So, they were willing to compensate us $650 off on our final payment and actually get a crew out to work on the weekend, even though they don't normally. and he would call me back later that day to let us know. OK, good enough for admitting fault and how we were wronged. ONLY... 8th - no call back - I got a text the next morning Thursday - saying.... "I'll be confirming times with the crews for your install this weekend!" and then.... 9th - nothing - we got up early Sat and Sun just in case they showed up since we weren't getting any information - 10th thru 20th - we call the cells, text the cells, call the office every day between the 3 numbers, then yesterday, November 19th, talked to a lady who went to talk to the scheduler, Dale, who was on a call, but told her to tell me that they could be out Monday, which is the 25th, and would call me after he got off the phone, but I did ask her to ask him to send an email for date and time so we had something in writing. 21st - no call back, so called the office back at 4:15 and left detailed message, 22nd - still no call back, so now have left detailed message again - surprised no one is answering the phone when they always have before, but also texted Josh and my husband tried to call Dawn. Anyone know where do we go from here? We saved for 3 years to have the money for the trees and fence and now only have part of the money to hire another company but not sure if we will be held responsible or what to do. Just living with knots in my stomach and have cried a few times. While I now am reading tons of reviews like mine for Clinton Fence on several review sites, I wish I'd known in the beginning to avoid being treated so unfairly, rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate as well as avoiding all this aggravation and stress.

I never knew a fence could make me so happy! We've now used George/Clinton & Bowles Fences 3 times at our house, and we have been thrilled with the results each and every time! We now have a beautiful chain link fence around our backyard, and a charming white picket fence in our front yard, and our home now feels so secure. We HIGHLY recommend this amazing company! It's clear they truly value the work they do, and want their customers to be happy. They put up the fence very quick and it looked great. There was one mistake that was made but they fixed the problem and was very courteous to us. Overall, it looked great!

I was pleased with the replacement of the fence. The problem I had was that because they used cement for the post, they needed water and the material to stabilized the post caused to mess up my deck. The job that I hired them for was fine, it was the damage to my deck caused by the worker.

All in all, very well! We are happy with the fence and will use them again if we need a fence installed. More details: We were looking to fence in about two acres behind our house. After receiving quotes from numerous fence companies in Southern Maryland, someone recommended Clinton Fence (specifically George!). George came and met me to walk the fence line and provided a quote. It was a lot of fence and new a small amount of time. A couple days later, we revised our plan based on advice George had given us about trees falling. So George came out again to walk the new fence line. He was patient. The install happened faster than we thought. One of the selling points was that the salesperson, George, would be there to walk the fence with the installing team. We had a 10 foot double gate installed and it wasn't exactly secure. We called George up and he understood the problem. He came out a few days later himself and fixed it.

I purchased a fence in March 2019. November 2019 part of my fence came apart completely on a windy morning. Although the fence is not even a year old and is still under builder warranty, the company refused to repair, stating that this was an "act of God" and that I needed to go through home owner's insurance. This is awful customer service and quality - use another provider.

Clinton Fence Company of Waldorf, MD, one of Angie's List approved contractors, refused to repair my security pool fence after contracting and accepting a deposit. After six week delay showed up, did walk thru for contracted work, unloaded bldg supplies, site foreman unexpectedly stopped workers and .return lumber to truck and stated job "was not worth the money" and drove off!!! Felt engagement was worth more than "contracted"!!! Refund check for deposit received however client engagement was unprofessional.

I obtained estimates from 4 fence contractors that were highly rated on Angie's List. Clinton Fence was the most professional. Unlike the others, they actually measured my yard to determine the exact footage I required. Their estimator, Mike, gave an exact quote based upon my design (the others waved their hands and guessed at the amount of the contract and, in one case. the mansplaining estimate was several thousand dollars higher than Clinton's). I ordered at the busiest time of year, early July, and they told installation would be within 3 weeks. However, the installation did not occur until the last week of August. The workmanship is of high quality, and the installer, Larry, modified my design to accommodate the actual site. I was really grateful for the customers service provided by scheduler Gary, and by Larry.

The job itself went very well. They recommended that I get a survey before installing the fence; they arranged for the survey at a reasonable cost; they helped me work with the homeowner's association in my community. They got the necessary permits for the deck, and the finished product was beautiful and passed inspection with no problems. There was a delay with the fence due to my HOA. They disapproved the original color I selected, which was unfortunate. They are conservative in areas where there's not need. Nonetheless, Clinton Fences helped me find an acceptable color, and once the materials arrived, they called and began work immediately. They workers were timely, hardworking, and thorough. I was really impressed with the clean-up. Plus the vinyl fence looks great, and my dog can now run freely in the yard. My Sales Rep, George was wonderful and so helpful. They make it easy to pay them, which was also appreciated. I decided to keep my original wood steps on the deck, but they needed sanding and painting. Although Clinton Fences doesn't do that work, they found me an extremely competent person, who did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. He, too, had a strong work ethic, and I'll use him again for other work. I strongly recommend this company for a hassle free project. The vinyl fence and gates are very attractive. You cannot tell they're vinyl at all, and my neighbors have complimented me on how good it looks!

Please note that my service with Clinton Fences is in progress. They have been most accommodating assisting me with my HOA who disapproved my vinyl fence. They willingly re-wrote my contract for a wooden fence, as time is of the essence and I don’t have the patience for a long drawn out battle with the HOA. I will update this report once the work has been completed.

Clinton Fence & Home Improvements Co. did an excellent job at a reasonable price. The estimate was timely and accurate. The foreman was excellent at listening to our needs and directing the work to our specifications. The workmanship exceeded expectations, and the finished fence is beautiful. Part of the fence run has a significant slope, which was handled beautifully. Many thanks to the crew for an excellent job.

Overall excellent experience! The price for the job was the best out of the four bids we got and the installation was meticulous. Chuck worked with our budget and was very easy to communicate via email (my preferred method). Our property had a few installation challenges (e.g., fence on top of a retaining wall, trees on the fence line, demanding homeowner, etc.) but the installation crew managed everything perfectly (thanks Rick!). Don't even bother calling anyone else.

The first year, 2015, we wanted to put up a 5 foot fence to keep our dogs on the property and the neighbors dogs out. Our original plan was tremendously expensive. We gave George our budget and he came up with a plan that met our needs without breaking that budget. It took a couple of days more than expected but it was a large job and the results were very good.
This spring, 2016, we called to get our back acre fenced in. This time they had to go through a wooded lot and along a field. There were trees, thorn bushes and a ravine to deal with. It took a while longer than expected to get the materials ready; it was a very large job, but once they got started they got it done in just a week. The work is well done and the quality of the materials excellent. The crew was well mannered and respected the property, keeping things clean and picked up.

They were able to come out and do an estimate the same day we visited the showroom. They were able to squeeze us in between to other estimates. When we told them what we wanted and walked the property they gave us price and it was much higher than we wanted to spend. When we told them what our budget was they were able to tell us what they could install and stay withing that budget. It was a big job and took a few days but they did excellent work. We have a good looking fence around our property that keeps our dogs in the yard and the wandering neighbors' dogs out.
