I can't actually think of anything that went off without a hitch with them.
said they would. The gentlemen that arrived were very professional and polite. They found the problem within a matter of minutes and were able to replace the capacitor. The cost was reasonable and because I belong to Angies List there was a discount on the service call. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends.
The technician indicated that he did not have another motor in his truck (it was about 5:00pm) but he would be back first thing in the morning with another motor. He said he would make me his first appointment for the next day (17 July) and he said the office opened around 9:00 am. I informed him that the temperature was supposed to be over 100 degrees on 17 July and he said not too worry because Kim in the office would ensure that either he or another technician would be at my house first thing in the morning to install the new motor. Once the technician left my home I called the Air Supply Services office and left a voice mail relaying our conversation, especially the part about their making me their first appointment on the 17th. Again, I had to leave a voice mail message because no one answered the phone and I got a recording when I called.
On the morning of the 17th I phoned the Air Supply Services office at 8:30 am in an effort to get the estimated time of arrival of the technician; I again got a voice mail message (Why is there no one in the office answering the phone?!?). I left a voice mail message and after waiting about 40 mins for a return call from the company I called the office again and left another voice mail message; immediately following that message I phoned American Home Shield. American Home Shield placed me on hold and they contacted the company office too - they also received a recorded message (It's strange that there is no one in the company office answering the phones!).
I became very frustrated because: first, I was told that I would be the first appointment of the day which meant a technician would arrive at my home between 9 and 9:30; second, I could not reach anyone at the Air Supply Services Office and was forced to leave several voice mail messages; third, it was about 1030 and no one from the office had returned my calls; and fourth, it was over 95 degrees in my house and over 100 degrees outside.
I decided to phone the Air Supply Services again around 1100...finally someone named Kim answered the phone. She indicated that I was given incorrect info about my appointment for the day. She said I couldn't be their first appointment because they part I needed for my AC wasn't even picked up until 9:00 am; she also said there were two appointments in front of mine and a technician would arrive at my home sometime around 2:00pm. The technician arrived about 3:00pm or so, installed the new motor which corrected the problem. I now have air on this 100 degree day!
Overall: the two technicians that came to my home were very nice, very professional, and seemed knowledgeable but the company's appointment system sucks! Additionally, they never returned my phone calls which really frustrated me.
