We asked Mara and her team to strip and refinish our 100 years old decorated radiators. I have been impressed by the quality of the results. The stripping was performed perfectly, without any damage to the radiators and their precious decoration, revealing all details. I was impressed. Then, the radiator were refinished in antique brass, with black to highlight the decoration, creating a wonderful, perfect, realistic patina. I am an Italian architect, extremely picky about details and Mara's business surpassed all my expectations. Perfect job, extreme care!!

I can recommend ChemStrip without hesitation. The price was much less expensive than another company I contacted, the quality of work is excellent, and to top it off Eric is just a really nice guy.

They look like art!
Response from ChemStrip
"[member name removed] is the kind of client that we business owners hope for. She was engaged, informed, inquisitive and responsive to our interaction and communication. She was also polite, flexible and kind to deal with. We strive very hard to make radiators look as wonderful as possible because we know that we have a chance to greatly enhance our client’s home beauty. I note her assessment that the price is a B and wish that I could do them for less. The extreme physical demands, the required equipment, size of tanks and chemicals needed to process radiators is significant thus requiring a considerable investment to process. I am very pleased that she is so satisfied with their look!"

Very knowledgeable and profession service.  Eric Whitesell the owner is straight forward, honest and packed with know how.
They stripped and re-coated 9 huge very heavy ornate 100 years old cast iron radiators that I dragged out of a Pittsburgh house, then arranged delivery.
I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone.

ChemStrip did an absolutely remarkable job restoring our radiators.  I could not have asked for anything better.  They picked up  the radiators, stripped them of all rust, paint, etc. and then burnished them before applying a beautiful clear coating and returning them to us.  While there was some trouble neutralizing the chemicals (which is why it took a little longer), Eric Whitesell kept me informed and up to date on the progress of all of their work.  He was curteous but most importantly he was thorough and ensured that my radiators would look as stunning as I had hoped.
I would recommend ChemStrip to any one looking to restore their radiators and I hope that more people do as the company turns them into pieces of art.

Overall experience-excellent! Chem Strip provides an extremely useful service; stripping the paint from heating and air conditioning registers. Why is this so useful? Because neither hardware stores nor on-line stores carry new register covers that fit homes built in the 1950's. Consequently, the paint that has built up on register covers over the years needs to come off if you want a nice look. I heard about Chem Strip through a friend and I called to determine if they did "small" jobs. I left a message and received a quick return call from Eric Whitesell, the owner. He was pleasant and professional. He was able to give me an estimate on the phone including options for repainting the items. Although my service request was small compared to some of the other items I saw being worked on (radiators, multiple doors and cars!) I felt that my job was of equal importance and received quality work. The register covers and electric covers are beautiful!

They didn?t come to our house; instead we took our door to them. They did an excellent job. The quality was good, and the door looks brand new now.
