Chem-Dry of Washington DC

Jason and Lawrence were wonderful!  Prompt, courteous, professional.  And efficient! Total time on site was under 3 hours. The dry cleaning odor for the furniture was really minimal. The paid great attention to detail and we love the fact that the carpets would be dry in two hours!  We were so pleased that we sent three area rugs back to David to be cleaned.  We are happy customers and will definitely use them for all of our cleaning needs in the future.

They were lovely to work with.  Totally professional, careful and thorough.  They could not clean my wall to wall WOOL carpets because those require steam cleaning.  However, everything they did do they did was superb and I am a true perfectionist.  I highly recommend this company and in particular Jason and Larry who were accomodating and terrific in every possible way.
They deserve an A+ 5 star rating.

They did seven or eight rooms plus stain guard in about 4 hours at the same price per room.

I have had professional carpet cleaning done in the past by another reputable company who has since retired.  I used ChemDry because the company is listed on Angie's List.  This is my first experience using a recommended provider from Angies List.  I am very disappointed to say the very least. 
The gentleman who arrived to clean my carpets was very professional and pleasant.  Unfortunately, the machine and the process used is not the proper way to clean carpet.  The carpet pile should be lifted as a result of the suction process.  This did not occur.  My carpet looks flat and dull.

The owner did come by to have a look at the carpet and re-did the work.  I appreciate this level of professionalism Chem Dry shows customers.

When my disabled brother moved into a condo near us, the living room carpet was very dirty. I purchased a coupon for Chem Dry on Angies List hoping they could help. When Jason arrived he assured us that he'd have no problem getting the carpet clean. He was punctual, explained the entire process and promptly got to work. His expertise, professionalism and customer service skills made this experience painless. We are very, very pleased. Thank you, Jason! We got a heck of a deal for $167!

They cleaned my dining room, living room, master bedroom, stairs and threw in the hallway.  I was very pleased with their work.

I typically use stanley steemer because they will come back out to re-do any issues my tenant may have but they changed their prices or did not have any sales at the time so they did not get my business.  I was delighted to find out that Chem-Dry also offers the same warranty.  I paid for the service and then they called my tenant to arrange a time so that she could aproove the work.  She said they did an excellent job.  I like what they do because the carpets only need about 2 hours to dry instead of competitors time of 2 days.

Jason arrived promptly. He explained the process during our walk through of the rooms. He spot cleaned two stains.I was amazed that he was able to remove the stain left by a teak breakfast tray. He cleaned three rooms of carpet and a set of stairs. He suggested placing towels on the tile floors of the two baths and downstairs hallway because out feet would be wet from the carpet. Jason showed me the gunk which was removed from the carpet as he poured it down the toilet. The work was done promptly and professionally. I am very pleased with Chem Dry of PG County and the work done by Jason.

This was our second visit by Chem Dry of Prince George's County. We have two cats.  Cats get hairballs and often they are on the carpet when these events occur.  Also, things get spilled now and then too.  Our carpets look near new again.  The carpets were dry overnight.  Our recliners and sofa are about six years old and had never been cleaned (but they were protected when we bought them).  These three pieces of furniture look like we just had them delivered.  Also, having clean carpets diminishes the call for NEW CARPET.  We definitely will use this provider again say in another six months or so (dependent on how well the clean lasts).

Did a great job and gave me some good advice about how to handle urine stains from my dogs.  Didn't try to upsell me on a process that was not going to work anyway.  I'll definitely call them for a future service. 

UPDATE:  I had my carpets cleaned again in January 2015.  The service was performed by one of David's employees who did a great job and was very courteous and professional. 


David, the owner, came and did most of the work while training a new employee.  Two of the bedrooms have fairly new carpeting, but when my old dog was dying he had a lot of accidents on the carpets and area rugs.  David went over all the areas in each room with a black light and treated the pet stains with a product called PURT (pet urine removal treatment) before machine cleaning them.  The newer carpets look BRAND NEW! 



I thought I was going to have to replace the filthy, nasty carpets in my boys' bedrooms but David cleaned them so well that they look really good - not brand new, but considering what he was working with, they look awesome.



While he was here, David offered to throw in upholstery cleaning for a loveseat, chair and ottoman for $50 - a great deal.  I was very happy with the entire service call and feel that I got my money's worth.  David was prompt, professional and thorough with the job as well as explaining what he recommended before doing the treatment on the carpets. 



One of the large area rugs is in pretty decent shape but the other one is a total disaster.  David convinced me to let him give it a try to save the pee-stained rug, as the rug itself was costly and very nice.  He and his helper took both to the Chem-Dry facility in Upper Marlboro so they can do what's needed to remove stains and odors, and will deliver them back to me when the process is finished (3-4 weeks). 



I would highly recommend this service provider and will definitely use them again in the future.

He was on time. It appears the sofa and the last room he did, had more water that needed to be extracted.

David from Chem-Dry called to let me know he was on his way and gave my an estimated time of arrival. He arrived on time, being very professional and polite. I showed him the areas that I wanted clean and he and his partner went right to work.  The carpet areas looked good and smelled good when they finished the job.  I plan to use them in the future to clean my upholstery.

David and Matt were punctual in arriving to our home to perform carpet cleaning services. They were professional and went room by room with us listening to our concerns, and used a special light to uncover hidden stains in the carpet from spilled white wine and some urine dribbles from our cat. They cleaned the carpets to perfection and gave us some really great deodorizer! They were thorough and we are highly satisfied with our carpets especially the highly trafficked stairs- and we plan to use them again as well as tell our friends!!

Overall, was happy with the service - did a great job of cleaning carpets and stairs.  Definitely felt more clean when they left and felt as though the work was very thorough.  I think the price was fair, not great, but did appreciate that they didn't provide additional charge when one of my rooms was slightly over the room limits.  Was a few bucks extra to get the fresh scent on top of de-odorizer, as mentioned in the fine print.
Only hiccup was that they showed up on the wrong day - had re-scheduled and pushed app't back one day, but someone didn't get the message.  Was no problem and they came back the following day.

Great.  David called to tell me his arrival time.  He had all the equipment and worked without stopping.  He asked my opinion when he finished.  Very polite and professional.

Rug was pretty dirty because of pet stains, and we knew it would not clean completely, but their work was rather quick and sketchy, and the rug is not much cleaner st all.

Did not do a good job rugs remained dirty.  

The carpet cleaners were professional and friendly.  They came on time, got the job done in a short amount of time and were on their way. The carpet looks like new again.   Great job!

Chem-Dry was punctual for the carpet cleaning (3 rooms and a hallway). They even offered me a great deal for upholstery cleaning, charging me only $50 extra for both my couch and loveseat. My carpets and upholstery were immaculate after cleaning and all stains were removed. They worked quickly and were highly professional. And after a bit over 4 hours, my carpets were dry.

They arrived on time, were very professional and did an excellent job. We were very pleased to find them on Angie's List.

After searching the list, I decided to call and set up an appointment.  Got an appointment right away.  On the service call date, they called to say they had run in to traffice and would be a little late, for an appointment between 9 and 9:30 a.m.  When they arrived, they went over the entire carpet with a black light first, to see what stains were in the carpet, and what they were.  Then they cleaned the carpet and the stairs.  There were stains, especially on the stairs, and in the main area too.  When they were finished we walked through it.  Amazing!  It looked brand new.  I was so glad the stains came out, especially on the stairs.  The owner pointed out 2 very small stains he was unable to get out, which did not matter, given the large number of stains that did!  He then gave me some cleaning solution to use in future.  A great experience.  I was so impressed they took away 2 oriental rugs to clean.  I will post about that experience later.  I highly recommend them, and will definitely use them again!

Chem- Dry came in and buffed our carpets to bring out the dust mites/ pet hair / anything that was in the carpets since we have put it in and are not able to get out with regular vaccuming or steam cleaning. 
He also put down a stain resistance  and a stain remover for $100 more.  ( that was my decision) . Then he steamed cleaned the carpet which dried with in 2 hours.   The carpets looked like new once they dried.
He recommended us a time frame to get it done again. 
The gentleman was very nice and did his job professionally. 
I would DEFINITELY use them again.
