Description of Work: I found BTS through Home Advisor and sent a request for some work I had planned on for my new townhouse. Willie was professional and did return my phone call after we played phone tag a bit. He seemed to be an honest person who was genuine in his work ethic.

Description of Work: BTS Builders did my kitchen. They did crown molding, cabinets, and an island. They did the whole kitchen redo.

Description of Work: Great Room/Master Suite: Home Renovation Project - Removed wall separating family room and former garage to create a Great Room - Framed new opening with knee walls on opposing sides of new great room with half wall decorative columns - Constructed new interior wall with french doors leading to new master suite from family room area - Constructed temporary load wall to support upper level until removal of garage wall was complete - Poured new concrete slab to match elevation of existing interior level - Removed textured ceiling in family room, existing door way to garage, existing load bearing framing and garage wall - Modified existing electrical work to local building code and installed new switches, recess lighting throughout great room, and electrical/cable for television - Installed new carpet - Painted room, added crown moulding throughout, including framing of windows

Description of Work: I contacted BTS Builders last December regarding construction of a new garage/master bedroom addition on my home. Willie Lee, the owner, came out and did a feasibility study-- checking property lines and building restriction codes. He was very knowledgable, neat and professional. Mr. Lee conveyed to me that building an addition was a process and we needed to secure conceptual drawings, site plans and architectural drawings all which were supplied by his company BTS Builders, LLC. During the construction of my additions, Mr. Lee stayed in constant contact with me via email and telephone at least twice a week. His communication skills were superb! I never felt unsure of what the next step of the process would be and there were no surprises. Everyday when I arrived home from work I noticed major changes. Seeing the project come together as promised was truly comforting. I've heard and read so many negative comments about Contractors and realize you have to use your own judgement to find the right fit. The fit, finish and quality of the work was excellent along with the timeline just as BTS promised. The workers were all very neat, pleasant and professional, they drove company marked vehicles along with company marked attire. BTS Builders met with all the local building inspectors including WSSC. This was truly a turn key project and you won't go wrong using their services. I am completely satisfied with my new space in my home and have highly recommended BTS Builders to family and friends.

Description of Work: We had our Master bathroom put back together after we had to have some major plumbing done. The sink counter was installed and the downstairs ceiling(where water was leaking) was fixed! Also, our gutters were cleaned out and landscaping in the front of the house was done.

Description of Work: We bought a foreclosure that was in terrible shape. I used Mr. Lee in 1999 on my second purchase which happened to be a foreclosed home. My experience with his company then and interviewing numerous contractors for this job; which was a circus in its self made my decision easy to use BTS Builders again a no brainer. Initial estimate on costs for the work to be was $68,000.00. Mr. Lee advised me to set aside an additional 20% for unforseen items. Mr. Lee stated that if he can save me money during the project he will contact me to make the decision. The start date and time was given and was met. Everything on the check list happened in correct order. We had two walls gutted (20' & 10' high)and repaired due to heavy water and termite damage. The entire siding on the rear of the house had to be removed to do this job and there was a huge deck in the way. Mr. Lee brought in engineers and showed me how the process was going to take place. As a homeowner/investor naturally you would be very tense watching this process. We were extremely comfortable because of the professionalism of the people involved. Mr. Lee discovered items that were wrong with the home when it was initially built and gave us options on the best way to repair it. There were items we wanted to change and I asked Mr. Lee if we could make any changes and if so would it slow him down. To my surprise, he advise me to write down the changes we wanted to do and we would go over them. Mr. Lee pointed out that some of our changes would exceed the price given. So we decided what was most important to us and went in that direction. I thought that was very fair of Mr. Lee to remind us about staying within budget(it kept us from being over extened) and keep the project moving forward. Due to good weather and availabilty of items ordered our project finished ahead of schedule and we came in slightly under budget! My first home that Mr. Lee did was 3600 square feet with replacing the ceilings and walls in the kitchen and family room. There was plumbing repair, carpet replacing and the hardwood floor refinished and the whole interior was repainted. This home is significantly bigger being 9022 square feet with extensively more damage. We were very confident about his ability to get the job done and in the time frame given. Even though I had used Mr. Lee's company in the past I still did ask for several references and verified the work done with the customers. I also contacted BBB and Prince Georges County and everything was positive. If for some reason I get the urge to do this all over again; I am using BTS Builders. For now we are enjoying our spacious and comfortable home thanks to Mr. Lee and BTS Builders!

Description of Work: Solicitation of offers for a complete interior renovation project for a small SMFH.

Description of Work: BTS was hired to build a complete suite of rooms for my mother who was coming to live w/ me and my husband. BTS started out great but ended very badly. First he asked for the final payment before the job was completed stating he needed it to complete the addition. My mother passed before the addition was completed but not before Mr. Lee , the owner was paid. some of the major items that are not to our satisfaction are the following: the new garage floods during heavy rains the new bathtub leaks into the laundry room the new windows in the new family room do not match nor do they lock the new bedroom does not have any screens as promised in any windows the new stackable washing machine is not secured and unsafe to be used the banister for the new staircase is unsafe to use the new deck is not secure and unsafe to use These are just some of the major items. When I called Mr. Lee about them I was told he was not interested in my bull---- and as far as he was concerned he was done.

Description of Work: In our bathroom he re-did the shower stall, he also fixed the pitch of our front porch to make sure that when it rains that water drains off to the side, and also built a fabolous deck.

Description of Work: The concrete porch on my 70 year old house was crumbling. Mr. Lee repaired the existing surface, edges and corners, then installed brick pavers to match the stairs that had earlier been surfaced with brick. He then hauled away construction debris from another job, made a lattice for the porch, repaired a seam in a retaining wall --and did one other task. He pointed out that the top step had been surfaced in brick six years earlier WITHOUT making it level before the bricks were laid. Mr. Lee: " A bricklayer always makes it level. Period." So he leveled off the top step and relaid the brick pavers. So I'd say if you want it done right, go to Willie Lee first.

Description of Work: Building Trades Specialists transformed my one-car garage into a two-car garage and added two bedrooms to the upper level of our split foyer, significantly increasing the value of our home. We now have five bedrooms and enough space for the entire family.

We hired the building company BTS to do several jobs and updates. •After looking at several companies and getting prices we hired BTS because they had the best references and price. •BTS built us several walls, bathroom, gym, four closets. They even fix a busted pipe. Deck and Fence. •BTS made sure we did not go over budget. •BTS also cleaned up after their work. •They were amazing and we are please. We recommend them to everyone.
