Mike arrived on time and completed the job in a timely and professional matter.

When we initially called to inquire about the cost of rekeying our locks, we were informed the cost was $19 per lock plus a $29 charge for the house call. As the technician examined the locks and began replacing the hardware rather than rekeying the existing hardware, we asked about the price. We were never provided with a clear answer and throughout the technician?s repairs, we continued to ask for detailed estimates of the cost of service, we were told that ?it depends? and on several occasions we were told that we would not be charged for some of the work he has doing. After replacing the locks and handles on two doors (rather than simply rekeying them as requested), the technician finally told us the cost. At that point, we asked the technician to stop his work.
After the technician left the premises, we noticed that there was a hole in the front door; the hole was due to the technician removing the decorative handle from the front door to install a new lock; the technician did not replace the decorative handle and so the hole remains. As well, after the technician left the premises, we noticed that the locks and handles on the two doors (the front and back doors) do not match in color. Last, the handle on the inside of the front door is loose.
Beginning the same day as services rendered, we began to attempt to speak with the merchant regarding the cost and quality of the services provided: we called at 4:19pm on 11/15/13; we spoke with someone who said the supervisors were no longer in the office and that either Rachel or John would return the call on Monday 11/18. Having not yet received a return call, we called at 1:43pm on 11/18/13; we were told to call back on Tuesday 11/19 and that our name and number would be passed to Rachel and John. Having not yet received a return call, we called at 5:28pm on 11/19/13; we were told to call back on Wednesday 11/20. Having not yet received a return call, we called at 1:05pm on 11/20/13; we were told to ?call back tomorrow? and the merchant then hung up on us. We have yet to receive a call back from anyone at American Locksmith Services to discuss our concerns.
We protested the charge through our credit card company. The merchant (Eliran Shosan) replied to the credit card company that our claim lacked validity because we signed the invoice and credit card receipt. In short, they estimated the work to be about $100 and charged us $493.
