Everything went well.  If anything ever came up, a quick message was sent and the issue large or small was clearly explained, looked at or dealt with.  Id like to add, that all of the subs that were used for our job also were vary professional.  I did overhear that sometimes they may have been tough to work with on occasions but, from my perspective as the client, they were fine.

We interviewed several firms and Doug Turner stood out as real genuine professional.  The estimate was honest and well conceived, and we got started pretty soon after agreeing on terms.  The supervisors that Turner Troxell sends are A+ and the subs they use are equally solid.  The mark of a great general contractor is always in their selection of sub contractors and Turner only selected the best.
Our project moved along almost on schedule - finished a little after the original estimate but in large part due to circumstances beyond their control (materials, scope changes, etc).  We had previously worked with an architect so we had a design in place to begin with, but Doug and his team made some suggestions that improved the design and ultimately we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
For us an important aspect was communication - from Doug to the Supervisors to the subs there was fantastic communication throughout the process and we always felt like we had a say in things and always knew what was going on.  Very comforting when you're spending a lot of money on a big job like this!   I've worked with other contractors in the past who assume "they know what we need" but Turner and his folks did a great job of balancing the need to keep us engaged and the need to keep the job on schedule. It's a slippery slope but they did a great job with it.
Their attention to quality was noted also.  On several occasions a change was proposed in the interest of quality, their forethought was top notch.  I assume we'll enjoy tremendous fit-and-finish for years to come.  We even needed some specialty carpentry for the bar, and our job  supervisor (Brian) personally took up the charge creating what can only be described as a stunning piece of work.  Everyone who visits the basement raves about the carpentry of the bar, he did an amazing job.
Of all the estimates we had Turner wasn't the least expensive - nor were they the most expensive.  If you seek quality work from quality individuals then this is the firm you'll want to select.  We would use them again without hesitation!

Turner Troxell Company did a great job, completed our project on time, and of very high quality. The staff and sub contractors arrived on time, were friendly, and non intrusive.

Having priced several contractors, Turner Troxell was on the higher end, but deliver a high quality end product and completed it to our satisfaction. We had no complaints and have received many compliments on the work that they did.

We would not hesitate using Turner Troxell in any future improvements.

Impressed by their total approach. We had ideas, and with that we all worked together to achieve the result that was tasteful, modern and complimented the house. We had one real snag that set us back for maybe 7 days, but that was our fault for changing our mind.
