When they got to my condo they went to work right away they did not waste no time. They got to places where I could not. I am a short person. It felt so good after they got done nice and clean

Our experience with The Maids was positive from first contact. The scheduler for our region promptly returned my call and was able to answer all of my questions in a polite, professional and knowledgeable manner. Service was schedule within our time frame and the cleaning crew arrived on time. The crew consists of three people who bring all of their own supplies/materials. This was our initial cleaning and we were notified beforehand that the estimated time of completion could be extended if there was more work to do. When it looked as though extra time would be needed, the crew lead notified us of how much extra time and money would be required. The work was superbly done with no shelf left un-dusted. There were even little extra steps like the paper towels being folded in a triangle--just like what you'd see in a nicer hotel. We called the same afternoon to set up a monthly service with The Maids.

We've had other cleaning services, but none as good as this team of four plus a trainee. They came within the promised time window and the house is cleaner than its ever been, especially the hardwood floors!!!

They were good. It was a team of 4 people that came to the house. I had had a lot of construction in my house so they did the windows and anything else that I asked them to do.

The service team was polite, punctual, professional, and responsive, as were the customer service folks I spoke to on the phone. They finished the job quickly and paid special attention to the areas I requested (bathrooms) and ignored the items I didn't want attended to (linens, beds). Overall I found the cleaning itself to be good, but not above average. But then, I have fairly high standards for cleanliness... it would have taken much more time and money to meet it.

The work was okay. They were able to come out the next day and do a full cleaning but there were definitely some missed areas. I didn’t interact with them but my fiance said they were very nice and friendly but he didn’t know what to look for when they asked him to look at the work. I contacted another company that came to do an in-home assessment and they came up much less expensive and they pointed out some things that the other company missed.

"We endeavor to provide the highest levels of customer service. In this case, the customer's home was cleaned with less than 24 hours notice. Customer emailed us at 11.24pm on the 21st. She received an email estimate at 11.00am on the 22nd and her home was cleaned at 12.10pm on the 23rd. The customer was emailed an estimate of $241.20 for the cost of the initial cleaning and the customer accepted this and scheduled service. The house was cleaned and the actual cost was $217.51, $23.69 LESS than estimated. The customer's representative performed a whole house inspection upon completion of the cleaning and signed a “work completed to my complete satisfaction” document. Had the representative found any issues with the cleaning, we would of course corrected any issues. The other company that came out may have quoted for regular service which is significantly cheaper than first-time cleans."

The ladies who came were very professional and did a good job. The office was quite another story. I was given an estimate over the phone and told, based on the size of the house, ongoing cleaning would probably be $120-$130. I was told the first visit would be $150/hour because "it might take 10-15 minutes longer" than a regular cleaning. I was given a two-hour window for arrival time (10-12). At the end of the 2 hour window the team had not yet arrived. I called the office and was told "they've already been there and left". I explained that both I and the dust bunnies were sitting in my living room and that, no, cleaners had not visited me. After a bit on hold, the woman returned to the phone and told me that they "had to combine teams this morning and got confused and went to a different house, but they are turning around and on their way to you now". About 5 minutes later, the gentleman I originally talked to called to apologize and to tell me (a) this kind of mix up happens (he actually told me about a time they cleaned the wrong house by mistake) and (b) they were sending a team of 5 instead of 4 so the hourly rate would go up accordingly. When the team finally arrived, the team leader said "so, we can take as long as we want right? and you were quoted $299." I was NEVER quoted $299. I told them they could have an hour and 10 minutes and to do what they could in that time -- I couldn't afford more. The cleaners did a very thorough job for the amount of time I provided, including bathrooms that hadn't sparkled like that in years. They were pleasant and worked very quickly. My daughter had left some money laying around in the den and I found it neatly piled on a table. My advice to someone looking to use this service is to insist on an in-person walkthrough and a fixed price. The actual service was well done--but the organization and office policies make it difficult to work with them otherwise. As an aside, I noticed on the reciept I was given at the end that there is a $50 lock-out fee if they come to your house and they aren't there...but I was never offered renumeration for their lateness.

"We do offer a 2 hour arrival window. However, occasionally, we have several customers who call to cancel on the day of their scheduled cleaning and this causes scheduling problems. We endeavor to keep the promised 2 hour arrival window by re-arranging teams and moving houses from one team to another and this is what we did on the day of this customer's cleaning. We were 30 minutes late and we called to apologize. First-time cleans and one time cleans are performed on an hourly basis due to the variance in time needed to complete the work (cleaner houses take less time and vice versa) and that is why no fixed price is available for one-time cleans. Customers can (as this one did) simply limit the time we spend in a home in order to obtain a “fixed” price, but in this case we cannot guarantee to clean the entire home. Our computer records indicate an initial estimate “not to exceed 2 hours ($300) with a team of 4”. Hourly rates do vary by team size, but since the amount of work to be done is the same, the actual price ends up being the same. One person working for 4 hours can accomplish as much as 4 people working for one hour. Had we not sent a team of 5, we would have been even later. The anecdote concerning cleaning the wrong house did occur but in another cleaning business where no employees speak English. The customer was very happy with the cleaning, the team was pleasant and worked quickly, her money (cash) was not touched, she paid only what she wanted, but we did arrive 30 minutes later than planned."

Good hard-working people. They come in, get to work and are gone. If they do break something (rarely) they fess up immediately and offer to compensate for the loss. From the one time I had an issue, I received a call to follow up and a personal letter of apology from the supervisor. I have used many services in the past and I find them the best.

The Maids Home Services has cleaned my home monthly for over a year. They send a team of cleaners to my home, and although the home is fairly large they usually complete the work in a little more than one hour. It is usually the same team every month, but of course over time there is some staff turnover. However in the entire year there has never been a time when fewer than two of the team members had been here before, so there was always someone familiar with my home. The teams are professionals. They work quickly and thoroughly, and are respectful of us and our things. The bathrooms and kitchen are always spotless. I have hardwood floors, and sometimes the hardwood doesn't get as thoroughly clean as I would like, but I don't let them use harsh cleaners on it, so it's difficult to keep clean. They always honor my requests and even change the linens on the beds! I have been very happy with this service.

They seemed fine at first. The first six months they were good, but then they started slacking off and breaking things. One day they broke the drip rail of my shower door and when I called to talk to them about it they were really sassy. They never fixed it. It needed to be fixed right away, but they said that the owner was out of town and that I would have to wait four days to have anything done about it. I ended up firing them on the spot and fixing it myself. That wasn't the only time they were sassy about things. We had an agreement that there were certain rooms they would only do every other time they came here. One time they were here and they were supposed to do it and they didn't so I called to complain. Then they told me that I would have to pay more for that. They did a quote of about $160 originally. They bumped the price up in what I felt was an unethical way to $185.

"WE DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE SHOWER. DAMAGE WAS PRESENT BEFORE WE ARRIVED. WE HAD AN AGREEMENT THAT FOR A "SMALL" CLEAN, THE COST WAS $160 AND FOR THE "BIG" CLEAN THE COST WAS $185. CUSTOMER DID NOT REMEMBER THIS, AND CONSIDERED IT "UNETHICAL" TO PAY FOR EXTRA WORK."

I called on short notice for an area they only service on certain days. The woman offered to come on the day I needed for a $25 travel fee, which I said was fine. I noted problem areas (an incredibly filthy shower) and described the place and she estimated that it would take about an hour at $150/hr. She gave me a 2-hour window and I asked that they call me when they were approaching. That request didn't make it to the workers because they called when they got there and found that no one was at home. Fortunately, I was around the corner. Four very pleasant women cleaned the house very effectively while I went back to the coffee shop around the corner. They called me about 15 minutes before the hour was up saying that they thought they needed another 10 minutes and would that be alright. I agreed. They did a fabulous job with the shower. I had actually tried to clean it myself with no luck, so I was impressed. They also addressed little things I noticed when I got there cheerfully. The total came to 1 hour and 14 minutes. All in all an excellent experience, I will definitely use them again.

Able to reach them easily by phone and they were able to schedule us as new customers on short notice. Arrived on time and worked diligently. Final cost was appropriate to estimate. The work was outstanding! the house shone and we were very pleased.

They brought in a crew of 4 women. They were speedy and nice. I liked the women and I liked their work although I think they are too expensive for what they do. I would not hire them again due to that fact.

Due to another job running over, I only got a three person team, but they also discounted the cost. The ladies were very understanding of the fact that I was selling my deceased parents' house, and wanted it to look good without spending too much money. They chose to spend their efforts on what would have the most impact. They were very careful to check with me if there were decisions to be made in that regard and gave me advice on things I could do myself to save money. The house looked very nice when they were done and it also smelled good (I want to buy what they used)! My real estate agents were impressed with how good the house looked.

They arrived right on time and all four girls worked diligently then entire time with no slouching or breaks. It was pretty good. I found that they did not move some of the light items we had to clean underneath and did not do all the baseboards. They also neglected to do the ceiling fans. However, when I came home and it was done I felt that the house sparkled and our agent was really impressed. Our home looked like a model home that no one lives in and I have a husband, a toddler, a baby and two dogs and two cats. The girls that came spoke English as their first language and were really good about staying out of the rooms when my girls were sleeping. They handled my special requests well and were very flexible.
