Excellent. All communications were good. Ms. Kleinhammer was very responsive. She took the time to clearly indicate the situation with respect to lead testing for my unit. She was early to our appointed time to inspect the unit. She was professional in her work and provided all the information that I needed to complete the registration of the unit with MDE. I will use this company again if I have a need for other environmental testing.

Scheduling the appointment was slow. We first contacted Leadtec at the end of August, exchanged a couple emails, and then didn't hear from them for a week, and had to re-contact them before an appointment got scheduled. On the day of the appointment, Susan was a bit late, but she called to let me know she was running behind. Once the inspection started, it went really well. Susan walked through everything she was doing and explained the process and the test. She was clearly knowledgable about lead and lead testing, and answered all questions clearly and confidently. In the end, she took 75$ off the price because the appointment went faster than she expected.

LeadTec was recommended by another lead inspection company because it can performed the type of inspection that was more appropriate for my 1963 property. Jim was very helpful in answering my questions over the phone about the types of inspections he performed and the process he took to report his findings to the State for the lead free registration. On the day of the inspection, he came a little bit late because he got lost. But everything thing after that was performed without delay. Jim was able to ascertain that my property was lead free and followed through with sending the report and the certificate to the State and me in a timely fashion.

Susan came out on time and explained everything what the procedure for testing lead would be. I had my doubts as to lead paint being used in and around the house. Susan did a wonderful job explaining, showing and testing for lead in every place of the house. My concerns were not necessarily only lead paint but the tile that was used in the bathrooms and kitchen backsplash. (lead is sometimes used in tile manufacturing and can be just as harmful) After testing, Susan revealed lead tiles in both bathrooms which gave my wife and I some relief as we have two infants. The lead in tile, if not disturbed is not a problem for us at this time. thanks Leadtec

Jim was a true professional providing education and expert knowledge throughout the job. He tested all surfaces of the house for lead based paint and provided a very through write in less than a week.
Very happy with the experience and recommend this service for any DIYer who wants to ensure the house they live and work on is free of lead based paint.

To begin with, when I called to schedule an appointment, I was told that I should save my money. Apparently out of all the houses in my area that they have tested, they never once found lead. I appreciated the honesty, but since I have a 2 year old, I wanted to be sure. LeadTec showed up earlier than expected and she was almost done testing by the time I arrived. She was very helpful and answered our questions. She said that we can contact them any time for proof of testing. We had a lot of inspections going on at the house that day, so I didn't get to watch her work, but I feel confident in her report that there is no lead paint in the house.

We were concerned about lead paint in our home (built in 1948). I called one lead inspection company, but was informed that they did not service owner occupied properties--only rentals. That company recommend LeadTec.
I called Leadtec and was put in touch with one of their inspectors. He asked some questions about our property and proceeded to explain that it would be unlikely to find lead paint in the interior of a home built in 1948, but that we could find lead paint on the exterior. He provided a quote for the lead inspection, which included an extra fee for travel. (We're located outside of DC and LeadTec is based in Baltimore).
The inspector arrived a few minutes earlier than our appointment time. He was friendly and took the time to answer my questions before proceeding with the inspection. He tested about 10 painted surfaces in each room, plus on the exterior of the house. At the end of his inspection, he told me the findings and promised a detailed written report within a few days. The report arrived about 10 days later (I'm guessing that the delay was partly due to the high mail volume right before Christmas). It outlines the surfaces that were tested in each room and the amount of lead detected in each painted area. It is detailed enough for us to use it to remediate the problem areas.
In summary, I've pleased with Leadtec's services. They were professional, prompt, and curtious. I would recommend them to others who are concerned about the possibility of lead paint in their home.

They were wonderful. Susan who came out was very professional and prompt. I respected her services. She took her time and tested every surface of the house, even surfaces I didn't know needed to be test. She gave a thorough report of all the tests for the surfaces. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

The folks at Lead-Tec are great. Jim, the semi-retired engineer did a very thorough job and spent a lot of time discussing my case, risks, and recommended methods of cleaning. They train contractors, and are very knowledgeable about local laws and regulations.

This inspection was prompted as we were worried about the potential hazards of lead paint in our home for our infant son. Mr. McCabe helped guide us through the process of assessing for lead, unfortunately finding lead paint in our home and making it safe. He educated us on what we needed to be concerned about and why. He helped us determine what work we could do ourselves and how as well as what work we needed professionals for. He offered suggestions on how to go about finding people to do the work and gave us guidelines to follow in order to keep us all healthy and safe. He then returned the do a clearance check after the work was done. Both Mr. McCabe and his office staff were friendly and helpful. We had some confusion about one of our meetings (totally my fault) and even though Mr. McCabe came to our house, he didn't charge us for the trip. Leadtec's prices were comparable or lower then others that we were referred to. It was truly a pleasure to work with Leadtec, I would recommend them in an instant!
