Mr. Jenkins arrived exactly at the agreed time and performed all the work himself.  He seemed very experienced in lead and asbestos testing and mitigation through the knowledge he shared with me as he completed the work.  Although we were not testing for mold, he gave us recommendations on simple things we could do to check for it ourselves.  We were very happy with his work.  We had one small issue when we received the invoice (we were billed more than what he'd initially quoted), but when we asked about it, he and his staff promptly responded and corrected the issue.  We would call him again if we needed other environmental testing performed!

I called them and they worked around my schedule. They are very prompt to respond to emails. They tested both interior and exterior and provided me a with a typed report detailing exactly where there was lead. It was a great investment for me so now I know where lead is and where it isn't! Great job!

JEI was recommended to us by a lead testing firm, Capital Beltway Environmental, that performed lead soil samples and wipe samples on our porches after a painting contractor failed to take promised precautions to limit the spread of lead paint chips and dust when prepping exterior surfaces of our home for painting. The painters proceeded to clean the site using leaf blowers, dispersing lead-contaminated dust around our yard. We hired JEI do a risk assessment after Capital Beltway recommended we use an abatement contractor to clean the most heavily contaminated areas in our yard, and the abatement contractors we spoke to indicated they would only submit estimates if they had a scope of work prepared by a licensed risk assessor. JEI was quite responsive when called, and performed the testing on fairly short notice. CEO Larry Jenkins was very knowledgeable and offered lots of advice on how to clean up areas of the yard that we were able to do ourselves. We did not do any shopping around in this instance since we were trying to get the yard cleaned up as quickly as possible, but JEI's fees seemed reasonable given the technical nature of the work and the quick response time.
