Everything went as planned. I'm glad they finish before Mother's Day...Well job done!

Innocent new homeowner. Quoted me very low price. Should have known. Work was done in 2004. 13 years later I have to have a whole new roof installed - all companies that came out to give estimates said the same thing "Your previous roofer used old shingles." I called Cullen but he never called back.

He lives within the Village. He doesn't come when you call him. You have to call him 3 or 4 times on an issue. He charged me every time he came out even thou there was a warranty. I said, how come you?re charging me for these shingles that are all over the ground? "Well it doesn't cover wind damage." I said, Well none of the other houses have lost their roof. How come I'm the only one? On 3, 4 different occasions, shingles all over the ground. He responded to the Better Business Bureau that I lost shingles due to extremely high winds and that I had a perfectly good roof. My neighbor and I had our roofs done at the exact same day. They came out and did both our roofs and he had his replaced last year after 6 1/2 years because he had leaks. I even to Better Business Bureau that he had is replace now I've had mine replaced. It's supposed to be a 20 year roof and they took nothing, nothing. They just said case closed. I don't recommend them. We should not have had to but brand new roofs on our houses. These roofs supposedly have a 20 year warranty but all that means is defective shingles. How can you prove defective shingles that doesn't cover wind? So these warranties on your roofing don't mean anything. The interesting thing is that the labor warranty with them was a 3 year warranty and the shingles started flying off i guess it was after 3 years. Each time he came out he charged me because the labor warranty was up and the shingles come of via the wind, he said. The 20 year warranty means nothing. The shingles were all in pieces. He used cheap, cheap, cheap shingles. The ones that were on the ground were in pieces. They were buckled in the pictures of the roof. They were buckled, they were split. I would call that defective but he said no. It's just frustrating as a consumer that these agency's that are supposed to do these references and things really aren't paying attention to what you say.

It was horrible. I ended up having to sue them. The contract stated they would replace all the flashing. Not only did they not do that, they failed to put flashing around my chimney so it rained a few days later and destroyed part of my house. They don't know how to put on a roof. He was really unprofessional. I actually went to his home and asked him to come to my house to fix the roof and he never did. He was just unprofessional and the quality of his work is extremely poor.

Several years ago I had gutter covers installed on my house with a lifetime guarantee.  The guarantee was cut short by the company going out of business.  This spring I had a problem with our rear gutter overflowing and sending water down the back walls of our house.  I contacted several handymen, gutter cleaners and roofers on your list.  No one seemed interested in lifting the covers and cleaning the gutters.  Most wanted to sell me their brand of "improved" covers for hundreds of dollars. The owner of Cullen Roofers came the day after a call to determine what needed to be done and sent out his men by the end of that week to do the work that needed to be done without a sales pitch for new gutters and covers. The quick response and concern for our problem was very much appreciated.

Cullen was lax about getting an estimate to us and starting the work. When they finally started the job, they did work daily until it was done (about a week) but the contractor didn't seem interested in discussing the work at all. The young men doing the work were pleasant enough to me but they yelled profanities at each other and played music really loudly all day long. The boss chewed one of them out very loudly with foul language outside my window at 8:30 a.m. They left trash all over until the final cleanup. The work itself was not great. They didn't inform us of extras, like ridge venting or that the sagging ridge could be fixed. They installed a skylight but didn't bother to remove the stickers on the glass, which would have been easy to do before it was installed. I do not recommend this roofer.
