"Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your experience with other community members. Wishing you all the best in your new home! Sincerely, Lorena Streb Owner, CertaPro Painters Baltimore"
The guys did a great job, in my opinion and were very quick. Tony was very accommodating. Overall, very satisfied.
We would have been satisfied with an open willingness from him to try to correct the most egregious errors in the paint job, but he consistently blamed US.
It's a shame because we had used him one time prior and were returning customers; but his complete lack of responsiveness to our concerns this time, combined with the amateur level of work, led us to have to file a complaint with the BBB.
Sadly, we could NEVER recommend him or his company to anyone.
"No one from my company has ever seen or spoken to this person. I'm puzzled by this review as the person who wrote it was not our customer, and was not present during the estimate to communicate the desired scope of work or expectations. Our estimator met with a different person who wanted a quick budget refresh prior to a party. That is what we delivered, exactly as described in the signed quote. All feedback is taken very seriously and we look for areas in which we can improve. In the future we will make sure to have communication and job specs from all household members who will be involved in the scope of the work. Having a non-customer complain about services rendered is a first in our 10 years of being in business. I would recommend that contractors make sure they know who the real client is. Sincerely, Lorena Streb Owner, CertaPro Painters Baltimore"
I went with CertaPro because they promised to immediately replace rotted fascia boards that supported the back gutter on a time and material basis. A 2 man crew arrived the day after signing the contract and removed one rotted board and announced that they needed more people to remove the gutter and complete the job. They placed a temporary board in place and said they would replace the rest of the rotted fascia when they had a full painting crew at my house. I agreed. CertaPro delivered material for the repair to my house. The CertaPro Supervisor promised me 4 times that the work would be done the next day. It never happened. Once the painting was completed, the Supervisor told me that CertaPro would not complete the repair because they did not have insurance and said that CertaPro considered that the job was complete. I spoke to Leona who said the same thing. My only option was to pay another company (at a much higher price) to complete the job. I do not consider this matter closed.
Despite the problems with the fascia, the CertaPro crew did a good job with the painting portion of the job.
I give people considering CertaPro this advise: 1) Their contract wording is vague. Protect yourself by being specific in the wording of the contract. 2) Do not expect that assurances made by the Estimator but not detailed in the contract will be honored by CertaPro. 3) Despite assurances that there will always be an onsite Supervisor who will resolve issues, don't believe it. 4) The Supervisor is the only member of the crew that speaks English well enough for conversation. 5) Expect that YOU will be the onsite supervisor when the CertaPro Supervisor is absent.
"No good deed goes unpunished.... Our office accommodated an urgent deadline and squeezed this job into our production queue to temporarily reattach a section of a very long gutter before expected stormy weather. This was done as a favor, because the customer was not charged for 4 hours of labor. There is no mention of gutter work in the signed contract. Indeed, additional carpentry is offered, and could certainly have been completed once the gutter had been removed. This was discussed on a number of occasions and as our painting contract states that "Carpentry will be billed separately on a time and materials basis" we're still not sure how this confusion could have happened. I reiterate that we do not remove or reinstall gutters, as that is the work of other professionals. The contract included a small interior project for a laundry room which was budgeted for 8 hours, and for which this customer paid $537.22. He then proceeded to badger our team into spending 30 hours on it. Abusing the good nature of my painters is enough reason to turn down doing any future work for a customer. After the customer acknowledged the work was satisfactorily completed to the terms of the contract he had signed, I did not understand why payment was being withheld. That reluctance to pay was cause for our company to withdraw from doing any future work with this person. We all strive for clarity to ensure our customers are pleased, as is evidenced by our many satisfied reviewers throughout the Baltimore area. We are reviewing internally how to further clarify the wording in our quotes. Sincerely, Lorena Streb Owner, CertaPro Painters Baltimore"
"Thank you for the kind comments and sharing your recent experience with our team. We will give some thought to your feedback and review how to better communicate what can be expected as the aftermath of the pressure wash."
"Thank you for taking the time to review your recent repairs to the earthquake damage to your interior. Felipe’s team worked hard to make sure you were pleased. We look forward to working with you again -- and when you hear family, friends and colleagues speak of their own painting needs, we’re glad you will be referring CertaPro Painters of Baltimore. Once again, thank you! Lorena Streb Owner, CertaPro Painters Baltimore"

"Dear [member name removed], Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your experience with our CertaPro Painters. It makes me very happy to hear that you had a good experience with Anthony’s painting team. Please allow me to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the weather delays, this year has been challenging for staining of decks. We appreciate your feedback, and I hope you have a wonderful day! Delighted, Lorena Streb, CertaPro Painters owner"
"We're very clear during our process that customers have to be present to communicate their expectations to the salesperson. Throughout our ongoing phone communication during this entire project, there was no mention of extra prep on the front post. The customer cancelled our crew by email the night before the crew was scheduled to arrive on what turned out to be a perfect day for painting. We did our best to accommodate to the changing scope of work when the customer wanted to add fascia. Our crew worked to this customer’s budget, despite his work flow interruptions-- that we did not charge him for. Thank you for your feedback, I will take this as an opportunity to review the wording of our contracts with my production teams. They all take great pride in delivering a quality experience to our customers. Sincerely, Lorena Streb Owner, CertaPro Painters"
"Thank you for taking the time to review your recently completed paint job. We're so happy to hear you had a pleasant painting experience with Anthony's team, and hope to work with you on another project soon! Delighted, Lorena Streb, CertaPro Painters owner"
"It makes me very happy to hear that you had a great experience with our painting team. Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with our CertaPro Painters. Please allow me to apologize for the inconvenience of any small paint chips left behind, which our proposal mentions are impossible to clean up. As to the paint drips, if they are indeed ours, please let me know so we can send someone while the marks are still fresh. After seeing this review, I checked with Felipe, your crew chief, and he informed me that he showed Nick some pre-existing drips on screens from your previous paint job, and also showed me a picture taken before we started to paint. Thank you again for your review, your comments help to further train and educate our crews and staff to provide excellent service in the future. Delighted, Lorena Streb, CertaPro Painters owner"
