Since they don't repair but only replace they could have told me over the phone if resets don't work it needs a board and the board is not available. But why do that when they could come out here to tell me and collect the service charge.

The picture/sound keep cutting out (constantly) on our 55" Sony Grand Wega TV. When I called Ample, the gentlemen on the phone was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He actually gave a preliminary diagnosis over the phone. When the technician arrived (2 hours later, on a Saturday) he was equally knowledgeable and professional. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. As it turned out, the lamp was bad and needed to be replaced. By the way, this was one of the two likely situations that had been diagnosed over the phone (by the aforementioned gentleman). The price was fair and the service was outstanding. I would HIGHLY recommend Ample Electronics.

Technician called 20 minutes prior to arrival and was on time. He was very knowledgeable and took at least 20-30 minutes diagnosing problem. Even when he thought he knew what the problem was, he first replaced a different board with one he had on his truck and it turned out that board was actually bad. The troubleshooting fee is $89 and is waived if you get the work done. The total bill was $401.61. I had tried to troubleshoot the problem my self with help from you tube but could not determine problem. So I accepted the repair and paid the $ to be done with it. You can get the same part (used) on-line at ShopJimmy.com for $43. If I had been patient I should have paid the $89, ordered the part, and replaced it myself and would have saved over $200. No complaints about the service other than the price, but in the end it was done quickly and I could move on to other tasks. If you have the time and capability though, go ahead and order the part after diagnosis and replace yourself. One final note, Ample only gives a 90 day warranty on the part. Our Samsung TV broke and I was pretty sure it had something to do with the power supply. when I call to schedule an appointment for an in-home repair estimate with Ample electronics the man on the phone asked detail questions regarding the problem, the make and model of the TV. He was very courteous and very knowledgeable of the problem. When the technician arrived for an in-home repair he was very nice and took care when removing the TV from the wall, which I could not help him much since I just had shoulder surgery. After opening up the TV the technician told me that the whole power supply needed replacing and he broke down the cost of the part plus the labor. I was expecting to pay around $500 so when he said that is was $344 I was really happy because I really like the TV and did not want to have to buy a new one. After agreeing to the price the technician fixed my TV in like 30 minutes and mounted it in the wall again.
