We are very pleased with the help and service that we received. We definitely recommend this company. Vince came out the same day we called and fixed our heat which was not working. He didn't pressure us to replace our furnace. He was very friendly, nice to our kids, and very knowledgeable about the heating and AC business and brands. The men who put in our new system, Vernan and Gary, were very professional, knowledgeable, and did a good job.

Very Very respectful. The only company, out of the 8 I contacted, to give me ball park figure based on another company's evaluation of problem combined with my relative (who serviced system for last 25 years) opinion. New tenant moving in over Memorial Day
in heat wave with no AC. They were able to schedule work times with tenant and keep me aware of progress (I live on opposite side of clock) throughout project. This is important really, don't need 8 scheduled checks to give estimate. Financing was a breeze, just one click on link from their website. They made sure I got all rebates available. They were chilling in just a few days despite holiday. I was told that installers were very polite and took care to respect property (small front door, hardwood floors, tight curving stairway with banister and dry wall, to install in closet under steps) and left no signs that they were there other than cool fresh air.  The tenant has paid less over last 4 months to BG&E with 5 family members than I did over summer of 2006 when I live there with 2 family members that were not home 60 hrs a week.

The service man had to come twice to fix the problem. Did not charge me the second time. Never experienced such courtesy before in my dealing with air conditioning companies during the past 30 years.

I've been a customer of Pipco for 3 years. They replaced a defective compressor in a new house shortly after we moved in, and they do a spring air conditioning check every year and fix any problems they find.
This year, I scheduled an A/C check and also asked for an estimate to fix problems with duct work in the attic. The service technician (Brian) performed the maintenance and took measurements so that the estimator (Vince) could come up with an accurate estimate for the duct work.
Two and a half weeks have passed since the measurements were taken. I've left 4 messages at Pipco for someone to call with an estimate. Each time, I'm promised that someone will get back to me that day. No one has ever returned a call.
Pipco is clearly not interested in the job, but why do they treat an established customer this way? I think their service technicians are excellent - prompt, reliable, professional, and courteous. I wanted Pipco to fix my duct work because of the work their technicians do - I'm sure the job would have been top-quality. If the office staff at Pipco were as excellent as the service technicians, I'd give them straight A's.

My furnace was not functioning, and I placed a call to Pipco's emergency line around 10:00 on a Friday night.  The technician called before 8 the next morning, and arrived at the house around 8:30.  He diagnosed the problem as a faulty pressure switch, and was able to replace it on the spot as he had the part in his car.  It was $96 for the emergency visit and $65 to replace the switch.  Neither of those prices seems particularly cheap, but then again emergency service rarely is.  I was very impressed that he came so promptly and am relieved to have heat again.

The whole installation went like clockwork. I first contacted PIPCO in early July to get a quote. Once the unit was selected, I chose a mid October delivery date.

I haved used Pipco for over six years.  Their work has always been excellent.  The service person arrives as scheduled, perfroms the work efficiently, reports on what was found and work performed.  When I had an outage, the firm attended to it promptly.  I would highly recommend Pipco to other householders.

Pipco arrived to give me an estimate on time and analyzed my old system. When I complained about the cooling ability of the old system, He didn't just upsize me, he looked at the ductwork, and he found that my main 2nd floor return was not working. The old system was pulling air from the attic instead of the living space. None of the other companies that quoted me checked this. Thanks again for that. They provided me the estiamte via email within a few hours and I looked up the specs of what they quoted and was happy. I sent over the contract and deposit, and we were on our way.
When the day of the install arrived, it seemed like the whole company was there to make sure it got done and got me cool as fast as possible. There were 7 workers there! Oh did I mention it was like 95 degrees out?
They got the old stuff removed very quickly and got to work on the new. They had to drill through the cinder blocks for the PVC furnace venting, and had a team of 2 on this. They had another 2 working on the outside A/C compressor location, grading it, running the tubing, wiring, and installing the new disconnect switch. They had another 2 working inside on the new furnace.  The 7th  took some measurements and returned to the shop 30 mins away to fabricate a perfect return duct adapter system to match the size of the existing duct to the new furnace and media filter.
They worked very well as a team, and when one part was done, they moved on to start the kitchen duct or help the others, They did start disappearing when the job was nearing completion until there was only one left to show me the new thermostat and do a final test.
They left a satisfied and happily cooling down customer behind. No mess and everything worked.

I have since had them back for service twice. The first time was in the fall when I turned on the heat, It worked for a random amount of time, but would then shut off and throw an error code. It turns out that the max output of the burner needed to be lowered. It was over heating. I have no negative feelings about that. When they installed the system in 95 degree weather, testing the heat output for 30 minutes was the very last thing on my mind!
The second was simply for a yearly checkup and cleaning, I have had no other issues with the system. The 1st service call was responded to quickly (like the next day)  when there was a problem with the heat. The second call for the cleaning, was handled slower, with them scheduling me out about 3 weeks. I was not having issues so I am completely fine with that, but thought I would put it here in case the reader would not be. Both times, they arrived on time.

Shortly after moving into our house two years ago, one of our compressors broke during the first heat wave of the summer. We called Pipco and reported that the air conditioning wouldn't come on. Of course, like all HVAC service providers in the middle of a heat wave, they were very busy, and we scheduled an appointment a week or two later. The technician quickly determined that compressor needed to be replaced. Fortunately, it was still under warranty from the previous owner of the house. Even though Pipco didn't do the original installation, they honored the warranty. They ordered a new compressor and installed it approximately the next week. Our out-of-pocket expense for the installation of the new compressor was about $700. Pipco also added a special valve to the air handler that is necessary when the compressor and air handler are located far away from each other. The Pipco technician explained that the absence of that valve from the original installation was likely the cause of the premature failure of our first compressor. The following year (spring, 2010), during the annual A/C inspection, the technician found that the compressor which had just been installed the previous summer by Pipco had no refrigerant in it. It had ALL leaked out. (I thought that late the previous summer, the A/C on the second floor hadn't felt very cold, but I wasn't sure, as we don't keep our house frosty cool.) He added refigerant and found the spot on the air handler upstairs where it had leaked out. He also said that the technician who installed the replacement compressor should have noticed the leak at the time of installation. He admitted (without me asking) that the problem was caused by Pipco, so he waived the charges for the repair as well as the refrigerant. Last week, we again had our annual spring A/C inspection. The SAME compressor was again nearly out of refrigerant. The technician added refrigerant and a dye that is used to detect leaks. Before he left, he said that the office would call to schedule a follow-up appointment to look for evidence of the leak. Today, I returned home to find the problematic compressor making a loud squealing noise. Although the air conditioning was running, it certainly was not able to keep the upstairs cool. (We had temperatures in the low 90's, and the air conditioner could not cool the upstairs to even 75 degrees.) I called Pipco and explained the situation. The person answering the phone abruptly cut me off and said that they have no appointments available for 2 weeks. On the positive side, I find that the Pipco technicians are always punctual and professional. They arrive on time, every time in my experience. My complaint with Pipco is that I can't get timely service for a compressor that they installed and have had serviced twice in less than 2 years by Pipco. I will give them another opportunity to fix the problem before searching for a new HVAC service provider.

We got three estimates and their pricing seemed fair. The young men were very punctual and very professional. The city inspector had to come out to check the pressure when they put the pipe inside the house and he had to come three times because they kept trying to fix it. It turned out there was a fissure in one of the pipes. They finally found it after coming out three times because it wouldn't hold the pressure. Everything from that point on was fine. It was an inconvenience for me because I had to keep waiting at home for the city inspector to come back and check the gauge. It was a little inconvenient but fortunately I had the flexibility. They were a good company. The young guys knew what they were doing.

Technician was pleasant, and he diagnosed and fixed the problem. The appointment was for 1-3 PM, and he arrived at 4:45 without having called. I was disappointed that there was a separate charge to replace the part even though this was accomplished during the minimum time period covered by the service fee.

I was very happy with their work. They were really willing to do everything that I wanted and explained everything to me very well. They worked very well with me and answered all my questions - much more than anyone else. I had many estimates for the job, but, they were clearly the best. The price was also competent.

The A/C stopped working on Saturday. I called the office on Monday morning and they said the first available appointment would be Wednesday. Kevin called 7:30 Wednesday morning to say that he would be here between 2 and 4. He arrived at 2:30. Diagnosed the problem and was done within 1/2 hour! Kevin really knows this equipment. Having A/C again during a heat wave - priceless!

We're happy with our air conditioning system and feel that Pipco did a fine job overall. We initially thought we would go with ductless air conditioning until Vince pointed out that we could get a conventional system without losing too much space in our closets, so that saved us a bunch of money and is much more energy efficient. Somehow our project got dropped of Vince's schedule and we didn't hear from him (at what is admittedly his busiest time of year). Once he realized what had happened, though, he was wonderful about moving us up on the schedule and getting the job done. We have only 2 concerns: first, the placement of the unit in the attic cuts off most of the accessible space, and it would have been good to put it in a different location and second, although the living portion of the house was left clean and in good condition, there was a significant amount of insulation and debris left in the attic that had to be removed before we could begin storing things there.

Contacted 5 companies to get quote for a new air conditioner and furnace. Pipco was the best deal for the unit I wanted. Vince worked with me for over a week to get the best priced system for my house that would qualify for the federal tax credit. The installers were punctual, professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend Pipco.
