Pat's Gutter Svc

Not so well. They came to repair both our front downspout & back gutter. The repair to the back gutter went really well. The repair to the front gutter, which was the easiest, not so well. Our front downspout had fallen down. Repair looked good but with the very first storm the downspout fell down again (within 2 weeks). After leaving numerous messages at one phone number, (410-308-8880) without a response (this was the number we had) I found the alternate number listed on a different website. Seems they have 2 websites and 2 phone numbers: patsgutterservice.com (we knew about this one ) and baltimoregutters.org (news to us but had the number that actually was answered by a human being). Yes, this was Pat's Gutter Service and we were in their records).  Made an appointment for an "estimate," 2 weeks in the future. They knew they'd done the work & that it was subpar. I told them no estimate, fix what you did wrong in the first place. Well, turns out "the truck broke down," so the estimator never showed up. We are long time patrons of  Pat's Gutter Service for our gutter cleaning but after this is fixed we will not be using Pat's Gutter Service again.

They do a good job, but their prices are a little on the high side. The only thing I would change would be that they call a lot to make the next appointment - I wish they would just let us contact them.

Came out and gave me an estimate which was accurate and to the cent once the job was completed. Said that they would perform service within a few weeks but came out a couple days later, which I thought was unusual but a pleasant surprise. Just a few weeks after the cleaning, Hurricane Sandy hit and the gutters worked very well!!

The company is professional and always punctual. If they say they are coming, they show up on time! Their work is thorough and the clean up is exceptional. We have used this company for many years now and have never been disappointed. Not only are they reliable and handle the job well, they also make sure they indicate to you the potential for future work that should be done if they notice a break in the gutter or some other problem. We will continue to use the company. Excellent business.

The installation of gutter  hangers was done on 07/2010 but left holes in the gutters where the old nails used to be.  So, when it rains and the gutters fill up, water pours out of the holes.  I have contacted Patrick's gutter a number of times over the years. They did send a worker out last year to clean the gutters and plug the holes but the worker didn't have the material with him to plug the holes.  Never returned to do the job. Called this year to try again since it has be  "2" years fooling around with this.   Even set up time for gutter cleaning hoping to include plugging the holes.  While deciding on a date, I was told that someone had already been to the house for repair a few weeks ago.  Must have been the wrong house!!  On top of it all, Patrick's gutter never showed up last week to clean the gutters as planned.

Responsive. Professional. Excellent work. Cleaned up each day. I was very pleased with the quality of their work and their gutter guard works!

ttThe estimator came out on schedule as arranged and gave an estimate in writing after reviewing the work needed (clear contract).  Once the initial down payment was made a date was scheduled.  We had to postpone once because hurricane damage work in the area kept many contractors busy but the work was done on time at the second (revised) appointment.  The manager (also estimator) came back to check the work done.  He found a couple of things that he wasn't satisfied with and had a crew return to fix them.  At the final walk through, Mr. Foley (manager) went the extra mile to check on a couple of leaks from our roof which weren't necessarily connected to the work done on gutters for us --a much appreciated gesture.  I would recommend this company to others.

They advised that they would clean my gutters for $190.00 for three years, but they raised the price to $225.00.  After several back and forths by phone, I finally got the company to honor the original price.  Furthermore, they left the debris, and the responsibility of disposing of it, with me.

I signed the proposal on July 25, 2011 and after numerous calls to office (many that went unanswered) they promised to be out the week of Labor Day.  After a no-show that week, the office called to tell me that the supplies for my job were backordered.  This was new news and was six weeks after I originally signed the contract.  Finally, a crew arrived on September 28, 2011 to complete the work.  The work was performed in a workmanlike manner, but the crew did not replace the several missing clips as the owner, Pat Smyth, had promised.  I promptly received an invoice for the balance due and immediately called the office to tell them that the clips weren't installed as promised.  Of course, they tell me that the clips were not on the proposal and that i would need to take it with the owner.  I withheld payment of the balance until Mr. Smyth paid a visit to inspect the work and look at the missing clips.  After leaving with the check, Mr. Smyth assured me that he'd send a crew to the house and install the clips.  That never happened.  In early December, I called the office to schedule my semi-annual gutter cleaning and mentioned that i was still waiting for the clips Mr. Smyth promised.  They said that someone would call back.  I then left a message on Mr. Smyth's cell phone and, again, no response.  I was a customer of Pat's Gutter Service for more than five years, having them clean my gutters twice a year -- no more.  They've lost me as a customer.

I asked for an estimate to have my gutters cleaned around the end of November 2011.  I was told someone would call and come out to give an estimate.  Three plus weeks went by before I heard a word.  That should have been my first clue.  When I finally received a call, someone had already been out to my house.  I would have preferred knowing when they were coming.  I then received an estimate by phone and agreed to the terms.  I was told the work would be done between Christmas and New Years and they would call to tell me the exact day.  I never heard a word and about two weeks into the New Year I received a call telling me they were running behind but would call when they could schedule the job.
   On January 13th around 4:30pm when I was returning home there was a car leaving my driveway with ladders on top.  The driver was pleasant and said he came to clean the gutters but could not do it because the water was turned off.  I told him no one had called me to let me know and once again I would liked to have been there when they were doing the job.  They decided to stay, I turned on the water and the three men got on the roof and cleaned the gutters.  Two of the gentlemen could not speak English but the head man had a fairly good command of the English language.  They worked hard and finished in a little over an hour and left.  I received a bill in the mail within a few days.  
   I prefer to be home to observe the work and was fortunate,  that  by dumb luck, I  was able to be there because I cannot get up on the roof and check the work on my own. 
  I think when you contact a business, communication is the most important part of the transaction and I would give this company an F in communication.
  Hopefully my gutters are clean the the guards are re-installed properly.

Overall we like these guys, especially for gutter cleaning and have used them a few times. Their pricing is competitive. We've also have them over to replace sections of gutters and make some improvements which overall we are happy with. They are a bit higher price-wise on replacement work, but would still recommend them after obtaining a few estimates perhaps.

The first time I used them, they came out that day and were very profesional. I called them again when I found I had a problem with the gutters on the rear of the house. I called on a Friday and they said they would br out early the next week. I asked them to call to confirm when they would be there, A week went by and they didn't show up. I called several times and only got the ansering machine and they didn't respond. Finally they showed up with a different crew, unexpectedly on Sunday morning.

It has turned out great. It always turns out well. The back of our house is basically three stories. It is really far up to get to the gutters on the back of the house and they have always been able to get to it. They have been doing it for many years. They are prompt when we call them. They usually get here within a couple of days. When they say they are going to show up they come. They usually call sometime in the spring to find out if we are interested in doing it. That is nice because it is one thing we don't have to think about.

They were OK. They are a little on the expensive side. There were some issues with some sand. His workers had created a mess, but he came and cleaned it up and corrected the problem.

I saw their sign down the street. I asked my neighbor who raved about the. He came out and gave and estimate. I couldn't afford to do the work. He has a very good name in the community.

It was outstanding. They gave a good estimate. All of the work was done in a timely fashion. They performed very well.
