EAGLE VAN LINES

Description of Work: Eagle Van Lines' movers were perfectly nice and helpful, but unfortunately our couch and our floor sustained minor damage in the process. While this would seemingly be simple to address, working with Eagle Van Lines to address this issue was incredibly tedious. When we would contact them, we would either get no response or a response that did not answer the questions that we had asked. Our main contact person, Jodie, appeared to be unexperienced in this field as well as not responsive nor effective in email communication. After months of back and forth, requiring multiple attempts to contact them for each response that we received, they were unable to resolve either issue. For both, they paid us completely arbitrary amounts for the damage, not based in any estimate of the cost of repair. The floor was especially outrageous - they eventually sent a contractor to do the repair who completely missed the first appointment and showed up very late to a later one, did not inspire any confidence in their ability to repair the floor, not to mention that they gave no indication of the time of repair or the level of noise in advance. They came in the evening and only then did they let us know that they would be using power equipment for hours, something that we would have needed to notify our condo association of in advance. They also had originally said that they would repair the floor completely and then later said it would only be back to 80% of the original state. We had to send them away, and then rather than working with us, Eagle Van Lines just mailed us a check for the amount that they were refunded from this contractor, with no consideration of whether the amount may be too much or too little for the cost of repair.
