About us

Established in 1959 and incorporated in 1979, Corley Roofing is a family-owned and operated business. John A. Corley was the founder and original owner of the company. His wife Dorothy Corley co-owned & managed the office until she retired in 2005. The company today is owned and operated by the founder's two sons, John D. Corley & Rick Corley. John & Rick manage and administrate the day-to-day operations of the company. Third generation Corleys also actively assist in the family business. Rick's two sons handle the majority of the metal work and John's twin daughters manage the office.

Description of Work: They were clear with communication, scheduled the work quickly and got everything done in a few hours. They were also pretty good cleaning up, which is great because we have little kids. They even came back to patch something that I had missed initially, not their fault. Really impressed with them.

After the job was complete, we made multiple attempts to contact Mr. [Member Name Removed] via phone calls & emails (specifically on 10/13/15 and 10/29/15) to discuss his questions pertaining to the skylight. We never received a response. We followed up again in January and have since met with him & addressed all of his concerns.

It was difficult to find a roofer that dealt with flat roofs, and this company was recommended by an Angie's list roofer that rated number one. The estimate appeared in my mail slot 2 days after the request. I did not have to be present at the time of the estimate. While not the cheapest, the estimate was much more detailed in the description of the work to be done and the materials used than other estimates. Getting in touch with John Corley can be a chore, because he does not allow his secretary to give out his cell number, but once the crew is on site they are very accessible and freindly. They called me at 7 in the morning one day, said they were going to be there in an hour, and 7 hours later I had my new roof. They had cleaned up and left before I even got home, and there was no sign that they were there, other than the new roof. I inspected the work, and it has the appearance of a top notch job (keep in mind that I am not a roofer).
Description of Work: Resurfacing enitre metal roof with new rubber roof. Removal of vents no longer used in roof. Replacement of gutter. This is on a house built in 1902 in Capital Hill.

THEY TOOK OFF THE ROOF VENTS DIDN'T WANT TO REPLACE THEM UNTIL THEY WERE TOLD TOO. THEY WERE TO REPLACE A DOOR WHICH WASN'T DONE SO MY HUSBAND DID REPLACE THE DOOR. THE CREW WAS OK, BUT THEY SEEM TO LACK KNOWLEDGE.
