The roofing team was terrific. They were on time, friendly, managed to remove a roof with almost no space available in the front or back of the house, and left the area very clean. I would highly recommend this company based on my experience.

Corley Roofing provided a fair, clear and timely estimate. Several other roofers declined submission of an estimate because of the complexity of the roof structure, multiple penetrations including skylights, and necessary materials. The actual work was completed in 1 1/2 days in a skilled, efficient and highly-professional manner. The work-crew was careful, considerate and answered questions completely and lucidly. Charges exactly equaled their original estimate.

They are very friendly but they have been overwhelmed from the Harkin and all the people here in this area. We got them pretty hard. They are one of the few reputable roofing companies in this area. So they are really overwhelmed with clients and they said that they have at least 25 people to see everyday. Initially because they were overwhelmed and everything they kind of misplaced my card when I called and had given them the information but it was at the very beginning. Then I called them back as they told me that they would call be back in two days which was truly understandable at that time. They called me back the next day and had a guy come a day after. They seemed to know what they were talking about and they have been in business for quite a while. So far everything seems good with them. They were very professional and punctual. I called them back to say that I needed the roofing done. Then they called and told me to sign the estimate and send it back to them. They would be here in two weeks to put up the roof.

They did the estimate without us having to be here. Mailed the estimate. It looked good so signed it and mailed it back. They called to say they received it and would order the materials and let us know when they would be out. About a week later they showed up (didn't let us know ahead but I didn't mind). The work was done quietly and quickly. The roof looks great, better than the original. I mailed them a check after they were done. Will use them again in the future.

Tommy was came out soon after my call and gave an estimate, discussed what needed to be done. It was a close choice between this company and the one we chose. No problems at all.Very professional and prices within same range.

The owner of the company came out and inspected the roof. He found the problem, explained it to us and said even though they were swamped he'd send someone before the giant storms that were headed our way. Just as he promised they showed up and fixed the roof before the storm - the people were very professional, showed us before and after pictures and we've had no problems since. I highly recommend this company - they really take their customers' needs very seriously and that is not something you can take for granted these days.

He came out and looked at my house. He asked if I had spoke with my insurance company. He said he had a person who dealt soley with insurance. He was the only person of all the companies that I called that was very knowledgeable. I was impressed because he really took the time to explain things to me.

This is a follow up of my previous report where I gave F rating to Corley. Please see posting below. Apparently there was some miscommunication and some real problems for Gary (Corley's estimator) evident from the response of Coley Roofing and I would like to withdraw my previous negative posting. Long story short, I called Corley Roofing and spoke directly to Mr. John Corley. He came to my house the same day and checked the roof and the leak. Mr. Corley was very knowledgeable and very honest. He advised me that the small repairs I did at the potential leak spot should be sufficient for now and there are still some 4-5 years (if not more) of life in my roof, so no replacement or major repair work is required at the moment. In the future should the problems occur again I'll definitely consider the expertise of Corley Roofing.

He was very knowledgable and prompt. He went up on the roof and thoroughly looked around and to see what was required to do the job and he even took pictures so he could show us exactly what was necessary. We ended up gong with someone else just because they were more local and not because of Corely being less qualified. Even though we did not use him, we would recommend him to others.

They came while we were on vacation. They came and did the repair and we haven't had a problem since. They didn't even have to come in the home. They only needed an electrical plug. When we came back from vacation we could hardly see the problem. We had to look close to see that they had matched the shingles. They did a great job. They were fast and efficient. They were recommended to me by a general contractor. We will have them back to do some additional work on our copper gutters.

Great. No complaints. I'd call them for anything that has to do with my gutters or roof.

Mr. Corley returned my call within a day and scheduled an appointment approximately 3 days later. He arrived on time, climbed on the roof and took pictures, etc. He provided options of how best to proceed with the work. An estimate was provided within 3 to 5 days. It contained more gutter work than I wanted and Mr. Corley was happy to adjust the estimate accordingly. I accepted the estimated and work was done within a week. I was notified the day before they arrived. Things were left neat and no roofing remnants were left behind. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely use this company again.

We had a long-standing drainage/ leakage problem with the roof on our enclosed porch. They re-surfaced the roof and it did not fix the problem. When we complained, they completely re-did the roof and changed the way it drained. It wasn't an easy fix, but they came through and did not charge us extra. I was impressed.

Our roof started leaking in a few spots during tropical storm/hurricane Irene. They responded promptly and came out on time 3 days after I called. However, when they arrived it was a different story. We had already had several other top-rated companies come out to inspect, and every one of them had told us the same thing: the roof is overall in good shape and has 10-15 years left, but there are some areas that need to be repaired ASAP. We knew the leaks were coming through the skylights where flashing was done improperly and a damaged section of the roof, yet these guys insisted on coming inside to see where the leaks were. Both men reeked of cigarettes, were wearing filthy clothes and left their shoes on, so I was not crazy about that. After they went up on the roof they said we could repair it but insisted that we only had 2-3 years left in the roof, so we should just replace it. When I asked how much that would cost, he said they *might* be able to get me an *estimate* in 2 weeks! (I can't imagine how long it would have taken to have them actually do the work.) All the other companies gave me a written cost estimate and scope of work on the spot, complete with photos. I said don't bother. These guys just didn't seem to have their stuff together and were very unprofessional. Not to mention they tried to upsell me on a totally unnecessary total-roof replacement that would have cost us thousands more.

The crew arrived on time and were pleasant to work with. They did a professional job in minimium time and cleaned the entire area.

Corley rep was very polite and helpful. Arrived on time and performed the work quoted in my estimate exactly, even provided me with some pointers so that they would not have to come back to perform the same service again. Outstanding service, will definitely hire again.

Prompt response, provided prompt estimate and set up immediate appointment for repair and completed repair following day. Bill arrived a week later. Small family owned business with devoted employees which are all treated like family.

Corley Roofing is probably one of the most professional contractors I have ever worked with. These guys are really fantastic. Their estimator, Gary, visited our house to go over the different parts of the job. I was acting as a general contractor so I was also coordinating with our carpenters and other contractors. He patiently talked with me on the phone as we walked through some of the design and coordination questions. When I was trying to coordinate with our carpenters, Gary answered calls for me on his day off and got back to me very quickly. He revised the contract and estimate as we changed the job and when they ran into hiccups because our old lumber was partially rotted he explained everything so the changes were made effortlessly. When I had a question about the synthetic slate the owner of the company, Mr. Corley, got on the phone and explained the product to me and their experience with it. By the way, the synthetic slate is a brilliant product. It looks almost exactly like real slate at a fraction of the weight and a much lower cost. I should say that there are other roofers with good Angie's List reviews who I got estimates from. Corley was price competitive with everybody and the fact that the crew were long-time employees made a big difference to me. I knew this wouldn't be sub-contracted out and Gary gave me a lot of confidence in the company. One word to the wise: roofing is a weather-sensitive business so be patient with the roofers as they adjust their schedules for rain and 100 degree heat. For us that meant we had to wait a few weeks for the slate roofing. But the copper was done within two weeks of signing the contract. I was really pleased that a month after we signed our first roofing contract that Corley was given an award by Washingtonian Magazine for one of DC's "Best Of" contractors.

Corley Roofing was reliable, efficient, and reasonable. I would recommend them to my friends.

They do good job. My clients are always happy. They are very good about cleaning up after themselves.

They will be doing the work for me next week. The cost and the thoroughness by which he did the inspection were good. The guy who did the inspection, his name was Tom. He actually went up on both the garage roof and my second storey roof on top of my house. He noticed some repairs to my chimney that needed to be taken care of as well.

It went well; not long at all; maybe an hour, if that. Two guys from the company showed up on the day I requested . They called before they came and said they would be at my house within the hour. They showed up within the time they said and within an hour they had cleaned the gutters.

I had a minor leak that I couldn't repair until I found out what the roof problem was. I contacted three roofers from Angie's List -- anyone of which I would have been happy with. Corley came in with the the lowest price and most detailed work order (the other two didn't include gutter cleaning). Dennis, who came out to do the estimate and work, was very nice and helpful. Showed me pictures of the roof, which was great as I'd never seen my roof, and advised that I should do routine maintenance every 4-5 years (I purchased the home a year ago and suspect the last time maintenance was done was never). After the work was complete, I followed up with Dennis with a few questions and he couldn't have been more helpful. My only "complaint" was that it took a while to get on their calendar, which is I guess what happens when a company is in demand. Props, too, to Lynda in the front office who fielded my emails and phone calls. Good people all around. I would definitely recommend Corley.

The company gave me an acceptable estimate one day and replaced the roof the following day.

Excellent phone service and estimator came soon even though this was no emergency. He called me as requested when I had questions. The estimate arrived promptly via e-mail and was a low bid compared to other three contractors. They arrived when arranged and did their job in a workmanlike manner. The plywood was an unknown at the time of estimate but they had specified the price if replacement was required. All went like clock work.
