"Since it’s been almost a year since we last worked at this home, we must rely on our database invoices and the electricians who performed the work to determine what was done. Our invoices indicate the following work was performed at the [removed member name] home. In August 2013, a whole house surge protector, purchased on the Angie’s List Storefront, was installed. In September 2013, the following is described on the invoice: - Replaced electrical panel and circuit breakers - Relocated a 3 way switch and an outlet in the kitchen - Removed and replaced a customer supplied outside light fixture No estimate is in our files and the work was performed on a time and materials basis, which is usually to the customer’s benefit. The electrician indicated that some time was spent moving items blocking the panel in order to begin the work. However, the total cost was less than the average usually charged for a panel change alone when a fixed estimate is given. Our electrician did not have a tool box and we worked only in the areas indicated. We were not told of any damage and did not provide restitution. Is it possible that another electrician performed the copper to aluminum portion of the work which sounds as though it was done throughout the house? [removed member name] was given an Angie’s List discount on the initial invoice after completion of the work. We want our customers to be pleased and feel our work is to the highest standard. It’s always distressing when someone is not pleased; especially when we learn of the concern after so much time has passed."
