About us
Full-Service Design/Build: Braitman Design/Build specializes in remodeling and additions for Older Homes. We work in Upper Northwest DC, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and other close-in suburbs. We develop solutions within the existing footprint of your home, when possible, and always within your budget. We offer turnkey solutions from design through permitting and construction. We have no particular style but instead customize our clients home to their particular needs and tastes. We take a holistic approach integrating architectural design, landscape design, interior design, and finishes, components, and furniture. We act as Architectural Designer & General Contractor. We subcontract all work to reliable, known, licensed building contractors. We retain full responsibility and accountability but without a staff to keep busy, we aren't trying to design to the specialties of our employees. We can act quickly and flexibly to meet your needs. We take projects from the idea stage through premitting and construction -- with a single point of contact and full responsibility for quality, budget and schedule.

Unlike other designers we had spoken with in our years-long quest to update our kitchen, Jackie listened to us carefully and translated our loosely defined vision into a kitchen plan that met our specific needs. She blended creativity, style, and practicality, helping us make decisions that enhanced both the functionality and esthetics of the kitchen. We are thrilled with the outcome.
