Affordable Roofing and Affordable Pressure Washing are veteran owned local companies. They are Branches branch of our Affordable Group of companies along with Budget Construction Cleaning. Having been involved in the construction industry since the late 1980’s in the DMV area, we saw the demand from our customers to provide them with roofing services. We’re also a family-owned business. Ellie Harvey has headed the administrative part of the group for over 15 years, forging relationships and a high quality workmanship reputation in the region. Her son Johnny Hernandez joined the group after an honorable career in the US Military and the DC Police Department now heads the day-to-day field operations.

My mom had some mold growing on the siding of her house and wanted a soft wash that would not damage the paint. We could not of asked for a better job done! It looked better than we thought it would by a great margin!! Very pleased with the service which was promptly done on time and with a kind, experienced worker. The price was right as well. If we need the job done again we know who to call.

These guys are excellent. Esp for the price. House and stone patio looks so much better almost like new... Should have cleaned it more often but very happy with results. Not knock, but be aware they don't use natural cleaners but cleaning solution seems to be used minimally.

The original washing was good, though we had to have them return once again after the initial washing as some areas were still green. Overall we were pleased though. A year and 4 mos later though our deck had many green areas, though we were told that washings should only be needed every 2 years. They responded initially but then stopped writing back to my requests. We ended up having another company come and they did a more thorough job.

We had our technicians take look over the pictures you had sent and determined that the return of the (green) algae is due to normal wear and tear. The amount of sun and rain the deck is a factor on long it takes for the algae to return. Proximity to greenery is another concern. This is why we let our customer know it's best to get the deck clean on average every two years. The time can vary. Again, We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you would reconsider in the future."

They were prompt, did protective spraying of shrubbery and the roof looked much better. The debris was removed but the snake that they flushed out of the gutter was pointed out but left alive and well!!!!!! My problem with the company policy was that the estimate did not state that a surcharge of 3% would be added for pay by credit card and the invoice did not include the warranty. At my insistence they emailed the contract with the warranty included but did nothing about the unexpected excess charge for use of credit card.

I also appreciate your input about our credit card policy. We don't get many clients who use this payment option because of that same reason. However is an option we keep in place for clients who live in different states and are not present while we service their homes and don't want to mail in a check. We do offer two other payment options in which you avoid the surcharge. I hope you understand this fee is not something we as a company made up. It's a fee our credit card processing vendor charges us for every transaction we make and this is on top of our monthly fee. It's similar to the fee one pays when using an ATM. As far as the warranty is concerned, we did provide you with a certificate along with your invoice for your records which contains the same exact information we added to the invoice we emailed . A copy of it was also attached to the email we sent you for the estimate. Again I would like to apologize for the credit card fee you had to pay but unfortunately is too expensive for us to cover. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to service your property and hope to see you soon Johnny Hernandez"

It went well. Had to pay extra for concrete welled exit and the woodwork on the front porch. We thought those items were part of the house but realized that they aren't s part of the vinyl siding. Paid the extra and am satisfied with both the price and the work. Original price was $250. Ended up paying $325.

Every two years, I get my deck power-washed. The company did such a terrific job in 2018 that I hired them again. The two-man crew were friendly and worked quickly and effectively. I plan to use them the next time.
