We had been having leaking in our ceiling near our chimney for almost a year, despite having had our roof and gutters and having our chimney flashing redone last year. After a number of frustrating follow-ups with our original roofer and chimney repair company, we called S&K, which came highly recommended on our community page. Sean came out within two weeks despite a very busy rainy season. He checked our roof and told us quite honestly that the problem was not the roof or even the flashing, which had been done well but the porousness of our older bricks. He applied some silicone sealant right then and told us to call him again if it didn't work after the heavy rains this weekend; he also mentioned we should just keep periodically reapplying this sealant ourselves. This leak has stressed us out for months and Sean was extremely honest and helpful. He didn't try to sell us any expensive repairs but was upfront about the problem. The level of professionalism, knowledge and service exhibited by Sean and everyone we spoke with is so rare nowadays; we can't recommend him or S&K highly enough.

Signed a contract to replace the roof, replace some windows, install new hardie board on chimney chase. The workmanship from all three crews was outstanding. All repair issues were addressed, and colors were closely matched. Supply issues with window materials and hardie board, so don't expect quick installation until after the materials come in.

They arrived timely, worked hard and did an excellent job. My roof is beautiful and the price was right. They left no mess behind and were done with my 2000+ square feet job. I chose this company because of past experience in my former community.

I was incredibly impressed with S&K from the beginning to the end of the process of replacement of our house's windows. The initial estimator was knowledgeable without being pushy, and the cost of the project was below the estimates we received from window companies. The S&K crew punctually arrived the day of the job and worked without taking a lunch break to finish before 5pm. The office was responsive and friendly to any questions that I had; when I noticed a hairline crack in a window pane, S&K sent someone within days to verify it, and a worker showed up two weeks later to put in the ordered replacement without charge. Without hesitation, I would use S&K for other home improvement projects.

S&K's after sale customer service mirrors my prior experiences with them, without deviation. Despite the hiccup described below, I couldn’t be happier with S&K for standing behind their work, to my complete satisfaction. They first sent the foreman who had installed this roof vent. Despite the installation checking out, he was still unable to resolve the problem. Next, S&K got their Quality Assurance Manager, Sean Toms, involved. He had me do a simple test to confirm that the exhaust fans worked properly. A few days later, Sean came out to troubleshoot. He isolated the cause as an airflow constriction caused by a 4” diameter extension tube at the roof vent connected to a 6" diameter tube at the fan exhaust. He installed a new 6" diameter roof vent and connected it to the exhaust fan with a new 6' diameter insulated tube. That resolved the problem! I would recommend S&K, without reservation, to anyone who might need their services.

S&K's performance was exceptional throughout the process from estimating to completed project. Their ideas and recommendations were helpful and appreciated. Quality work and quality product. I highly recommend S&K for homeowner projects.

Excellent experience from start to finish. 1) I changed my roofing options three times over a 2-year period before hiring S&K earlier this year. Robert Moore, the salesman, responded to each change request promptly, without complaint or pressure. I received links to optional products and references. 2) I received clearly written pre-installation preparation instructions. 3) Entire re-roofing process took 2.5 days. Crew worked together efficiently, well organized, disciplined, focused on their tasks. Squeaky clean clean-up. 4) I'm thankful to the crew supervisor, too, for finding a way to install a much wanted tunnel skylight despite its difficult location.

Dear Mary (S&K) The gutters that were removed had wired guards and the replacements had none. Initially when I spoke to Oscar he said there were no guards on the originals -- upon close inspection of the pictures he took we saw that there were guards albeit broken. We had no problem paying for comparable replacements, we were just concerned that the replacements would be less than what we had before. Secondly, we had requested replacements for the downspouts all around. Oscar indicated that he only had an order to replace the downspouts connected to the new gutters. Two problems here: As you can see in the attached photos, it was the broken downspouts above the roof that resulted in the need for repairs that you provided. I urged Oscar to at least direct one of the downspouts into the gutter he replaced. The other remains to spill onto the new roofing. From a professional standpoint. I would expect your people would see this and point it out even if it required an additional charge. Please let us know what we must do to have the downspout above the new roof repaired/replaced and the missing downspout replaced. Result: We ultimately hired another company to correct and complete the job.

Hassle-free from start to finish. Oscar and his crew's customer service were awesome and the skill of installing my gutters and the look was great. The night before was very windy and one piece of siding was almost blown off the house. I asked if the Oscars team can help and repair the piece of siding and without hesitation, his crew fixed it. That is what I call great customer service and teamwork. Look no farther and Pick S&k. You will not regret it!!

It was the best experience we've had with a contractor/project. From Mickey in sales, the installation crew, to the office staff it was so smooth. I would definitely use S&K in future projects.

The window install and the siding replacement went great. Had 2 different crews to complete the work. The window install crew (Todd) was pleasant to deal with. They were knowledgeable and completed the install in one day as planned. They even went a little beyond and put my blind brackets back in the windows. The siding install went great. Mr. Lee and his crew completed the siding in 1 1\2 days they came in the snow to complete the job. The siding looks great i am completely satisfied with the work done. The contractors for both jobs had me inspect the work before they left the premises to confirm it was completed to my satisfaction. The gutter install had a little snafu. I ordered the gutter guards for my gutters but there was an error in the paperwork. I called S&K and spoke to Mary, she rectified the problem instantly The estimates I received were accurate, no hidden cost to me for any of the work done. They communicated with me with the install dates to confirm they worked for me. S&K has great customer service everyone I spoke to throughout the process was pleasant and curious. A great company to deal with. No pressure to sign the contract, a sale representative came out emailed me the estimate, no pressure to sign that day. A great company to deal with. the entire process was effortless. I would recommend S&K roofing for windows, siding and gutters.

Superb siding and gutter installation by a company that installed windows in our sunroom and a metal roof on the house. The crew, Jae, Freddy and Freddy Jr worked meticulously for 2 weeks to complete the job. They were very tidy and considerate of our property and koi pond. They asked questions before proceeding if there were options to their plan. I highly recommend S&K and manager Chad Ringold for any windows, siding or roofing/gutter projects.

Did our roof a few years back and we called them about some flashing that came off (not part of their installation). Although they had many jobs in their queue, they had one of their guys stop on his way home and did the repair the same day we called.

S & K was able to come out the same day I discovered a ceiling leak caused by a storm on Aug 26, 2021 in Mt Airy. I originally requested a tarp to cover the roof not knowing how damaged it was. They called me to let me know it was a quarter size hole and repaired it. Forever grateful they were able to take care of this so quickly. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Highly recommended!

Stay away from this business please know that you have been warned. They sided our door shut, yes that is right I’ll say that again they sided OUR DOOR SHUT!!!! This company has not followed through with one thing they have said they were going to do. They promised to come fix it properly, when they showed up they tried to half *** it, peed on my leg and told me it was raining. They also had a $250.00 light just hanging from the wires, did not attached the hand railing back to the house, hung our radian crooked, put holes in our roof, cut our custom screens we had to order through Anderson which are $90.00 a pc. They said they “we will rescreen them” and I tried to tell them these are machine press splices. I received the screen back with the frame beat to **** and would not fit properly back into the window and the screen was a different color. For a window company I would think they would know better but they didn’t and acted like I didn’t know what I was taking about. I am now working on getting a quote over from Anderson for new screens and will send them the bill and quote for them to be paying it. We received three estimates and choose the middle of the road company which was S&K. I asked Marvin the head of the work crew why he sided over our door he stated it was the original builders fault the door was put in to high. Think about that and let that sink in. The original builders in 1973’s fault is why he sided over our door. He couldn't even take responsibility/accountability for their own mistake. If you hear the name Marvin, cancel right away. Run Forest RUN!! Working with this company has been a nightmare and I am still waiting for them to do the right thing and just do the work they way a training skilled professional contractor should. I will only wait so long. Legal action might be my only course of action here. Please take this into consideration before hiring this company. I am really embarrassed for this company. My family and husband have been in the construction industry for three generations and only hired them because we just had a baby and we both needed a break from house projects. I regret hiring them we should have just waited. Please heed the warning.

S&K just completed a window replacement project for us. The entire process, from sales to installation was efficient and professional. The installation crew was prompt, diligent and courteous. Over the last two years, we have used S&K to replace our roof, gutters and now our windows. I recommend them highly.

It took over a month for me to get Vivint Solar to come to my house to remove the solar panels before the repair could take place. I notified S&K, and they were there to repair the hole and replace the shingles in about two days. I've worked with the same crew on a couple of other occasions, and they are really the best. I've used S&K for a new roof, new siding, a deck and most recently added insulation to my attic. They are so good that I don't even bother with quotes from other companies any more.

S&K did a complete exterior remodel for me (main roof is the only think I did not have done). I was so happy with completed project. It looks AMAZING!!! My neighbors have used phrases like "you have an amazing eye" and "your house is a showstopper". All the of sub-contractors were polite and courteous. They cleaned up well. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I put the before and after pics on my FB page and I have already been asked "who did the job?". Eric (sales), Mary (siding and gutters), Cindy (metal roofing) and Dane (windows and door) were all great to work with. They were available whenever I had a question.

We have an old farmhouse with a lot of irregularly shaped areas: dormers, furnace room, sunroom, porch, that I think could pose some difficulties for anyone doing siding. It is closely surrounded by various trees and plants that we value. We had another company give us a quote, which we thought started out high - and then they kept adding to the price. We discontinued our relationship with them. Don Katzenberger gave us a price that seemed much fairer and was very specific in describing all of the work that his crew would be doing. The contract was clear and all costs were outlined so that we felt comfortable that what S&K would be doing was to our specifications. When the crew arrived, they were friendly and respectful. They asked us questions about our preferences. They worked quietly (as much as can be given the type of work), they did not damage any of our plants and they did not leave a mess. The resulting work is beautiful! Despite the irregularities of our house, they clearly were experienced and what we thought looked difficult was done flawlessly. The price at the end was what was quoted. We are very happy and would certainly recommend S&K to anyone.

S & K were responsive to our needs and provided us several quotes that were needed for insurance purposes. Work was performed very well and they were careful to clean up. This is the second time that S & K has replaced our roof.

Everyone was professional. The job was done exceedingly well by the crew we had (ask for Ronald). They helped with a couple of extra items that needed to be done on the house and with a water barrel. The took the time to explain any problems and how they handled them. And they had a good sense of humor. All was done in a timely manner, good cleanup, excellent workmanship. Salesman, Mickey, gave good guidance about what style would look appropriate on the house.
