Jay Rhine's company has done work for me on two occasions. The specialized crews were exceptional energetic and upbeat despite the difficulties of getting in and out of the area. Communication with on-site crew leaders was great throughout. Project manager, Alvaro, coordinated crews superbly. Communication back to the company for all issues and concerns was handled and resolved promptly by the Project Manager, the owner, Jay, and Rhine front desk. As a result of Rhine's efforts my yard looks great , and I expect the value of my property increased. Rhine does great work.

We were very pleased with the results. The basic problem was that there are two low spots near our house with nowhere for the water to drain and during the extremely heavy rains of 2018 our lower level was getting water inside. Jay designed a solution with two drainage paths - one along the front of the house nicely disguised as a dry river bed with boulders. The second was a 4 inch buried PVC pipe that drains behind the house. The result was a very attractive functional solution which has been severely tested and our basement has remained dry. We also had them replace our concrete front walk with pavers that turned out beautifully. The Rhine crew came and worked tirelessly until the job was done. They were very hard working, polite and respectful so we would gladly have them come back and do more work if needed.

I could not have asked for better service!!! Audra Wardle was AMAZING and helped us from start to finish, she assessed what we needed, made great suggestions. I was SUPER IMPRESSED that encouraged us to keep bushes that we were concerned about...insisting that they could be pruned and made to look nice again. She saved us money!!!! She was right!!! EVERYTHING looks amazing!!! The guys who did the labor were great workers (and they worked hard!!) I could not be more happy with the work that was gone but was ESPECIALLY GRATEFUL for Audra and all she did to make sure that everything went smoothly!!!

The job was done very professionally and we are very pleased. Rhine's employees work extremely well together and it was apparent they are very experienced and dedicated to delivering high quality service.

This is the third time I have hired Rhine. And for good reason, they do a fabulous job. The team was punctual, courteous, and real craftsmen. They did a beautiful job installing the pavers. They knew all about various landscape. Thy knew about yard types, and what works best on the location. They were good on ideas. They were terrific.

We have always had problems with getting a response from them. Once we sign the contract, they say they will call before they come out. Then it's weeks and weeks and we still don't hear from them so we have to call and wait for them to return the call. Then we have to wait to be scheduled. It's so frustrating! This past fall, they were to replace a shrub they had planted in the spring but which had died over the summer;. After several calls back and forth and a number of weeks which dragged into the winter, no new shrub arrived. We gave up! If you want to do a massive landscaping job, Rhine might be the company for you. However, if you have just a usual project, call someone other than Rhine which will be happy to do the job for you!

My experience was wonderful and flawless

First, the President of the company, Jay Rhine, personally visited our house to obtain the specifics of the project and provide pictures and catalogues of the options available.  After about a week, Jay Rhine re-visited the house with architectural drawings and designs of the project with estimated costs.  After a few changes to the design, Jay re-visited the house to go over the final design and costs. At that time, an agreement was signed outlining the scope of work and costs. We mentioned to Jay that we were having an event at the house within a month a when he would be able to complete the project. Within a week, Jay made accommodations within his schedule to start the work the weekend of July 4th and completed the project the weekend of July 11th. During both weekends Jay Rhine visited the project personally to ensure that the project was on schedule and ensure that we were pleased with the progress. Rhine's team arrived promptly each morning and worked the entire day until late in the evening. They always cleaned up at the end of each day. The workmanship and craftsmanship were superb during the entire project. Both the retaining wall and the sidewalk are beautiful. Jay's recommendations were exactly what we were looking for when we envisioned the project.  We couldn't be more happy with the entire team at Rhine!

At our request, Jay came by and took a look at what we wanted done. He gave us some ideas of how to cut cost with work I could do myself (ex: bury my down spout drain pipes) which I did. He also had good recommendations on what to do and what not to do. We then had him back and provided a more detailed sketch of what we wanted done and Jay provided us an updated detailed quote. 
 Before signing up we got other quotes, checked references and visited a place where he had done work. Jay was the most responsive of the others we had quote the job in terms of getting us a quote, and answering our questions. He was also patient as we went thru the evaluation process and did not pressure us. In the end we chose Rhine even though it was not the cheapest. We had the most confidence that Jay would do the best job and after the work was done we were glad we went with him.
 The workers showed up on the day scheduled. We were out of town but they worked independently and over 2 days had the patio in by Saturday evening when we returned. They ran into a couple issues and Jay went the extra mile to add a small retaining wall to make sure I did not run into washout problems later on a hill and brought in top soil to cover any backfill he did even though he was not responsible for the landscaping. The same workers came back the following Friday and installed the steps to the patio. Because of rain forecast they held off with the polymetric sand until the following week.
 
The team were very hard workers, skilled and courteous. They worked independently and always cleaned up after themselves. They did not require any supervision on my part. I really liked them.
We are very pleased with the work done by Rhine and would highly recommend them based on our experience.

We are very satisfied with the works preformed by Rhine Landscaping.  They cost a bit more than other landscape company. However, the price is well worth it because they take time to do the work right the first time.

The whole process took over a week to complete.  The group that did the work were great, cleaning up every day and very professional.  They took the extra steps to make the whole area look great even though some of these actions (trimming existing shrubs for example) were not part of our expected service.

Jay, Ken, and Tom, and the entire team, did a great job. There were a few bumps in the road, as expected with a big job, but they were handled every bump well.  They are kind, honest, and hard-working, and will follow through until the customer is satisfied.

I was so pleased with the professionalism, service, and product!  I have a small yard, but needed a lot of work due purchase of foreclosed home.  Jay had great ideas, suggestions, and creativity. Workers were professional, on-time, and always productive.  Project did not take as long as expected.  Quality materials, quality plans.

It was a large project that went pretty well.  They arrived on time and on the scheduled days.  The crew consisted of 4 men, all of whom had clearly done this type of work before.  The crew leader, Walter, was very easy to work with and he endeavored to ensure we were happy with the job, from beginning to end.

The end result was a beautiful new patio, landing, and much more.  Walter used upgraded metal designer rails on the handrail which we had not expected but are thrilled to have.  The crew also re-mulched the beds surrounding the patio which had been a little neglected while the construction was ongoing.    They re-seeded areas where grass had been trampled when existing patio planters, old bricks, etc. were temporarily seated on a part of the lawn.

When we first contacted Rhine Landscaping, we spoke and met with the owner, Jay Rhine.  He came to our home, listened to our ideas and what we wanted to have done.  Matter of fact, he was the only service provider who actually listened to us.  Jay was the last of the service providers with whom we met, and the only one who did not dictate to us what he would be doing. He did offer some suggestions and we agreed to those we felt would complement what we wanted.  All of the others told us what we'd be getting without regard to what we wanted.  Granted, there are probably many people do not know what they want and accept what they're told or offered, but if you have some sense of what you want, or have pictures from magazines and the like with the ideas you have, you should consider this company.

In terms of things that went a little kaflooky, a part of the handrail developed little blisters which did not appear until a few days after installation.  We contacted Jay's office and the response was nearly immediate.  The matter was handled promptly and to our satisfaction.

Price is a subjective matter and for that reason, we have neither indicated the amount we paid nor given the cost a rating.  After meeting with other service providers and listening to what they were willing to do and at what price, we believe the cost proposed by Rhine Landscaping was fair and reasonable. 

James walked around the yard with me and gave me good suggestions for my lawn. He told me what looked good and what did not look good. They pulled out shrubs that did not go well with my lawn.  It was a great experience and I got more than I thought I would. They are probably not the cheapest but the service was excellent.
