L. Mason/ Sykesville, M D
The work was scheduled for the following week. Lee and 2 of his team were at my house 4 days that next week. They were very careful when bringing bad trees down not to hit the house, shed, driveway, etc. He and his team worked very hard and made remarkably quick progress each day. By the end of the second day all of the cruft was cleaned out of that section, the large amount of poison ivy, the pines that had been hanging top heavy over the drivway and the 2 apple trees were cut up and stacked. Lee treated my property as if it was his own! One of the appealing things of working with All Aspects Landscaping is that Lee also has Terra Tree Farm. This means that all of my shrubs and trees were grown locally, dug the day ahead of bringing them to my property and put right back in the ground the next day, so minimal shock to the plants. Several times we talked via the phone (he always called back) and as things started to go in the ground, I asked to bump up the size of a couple of the blue spruces up to 6-7' range and changed 2 things out for 2 larger Nellie Stevens Holly (7' range), he was happy to work with me on it. All of the shrubs/bushes/trees are really good looking specimens. All in all it was 11 - 6-7' leyland cyprus in one area (for maximum screening), 3 Blue Spruce (2 were large), 2 large Nellie Stevens, 4 Winterberry (these are gorgeous btw) in among the trees there, saved several volunteer holly and shrubs in the woods, and 4 or 5 other plants/shrubs he put in for completeness. His suggested design looks absolutely fantastic and the color and texture combination is gorgeous. The main reason for giving you an idea of what was planted is that it's quite a lot for the money and the amount of labor that went into the project. The initial contract was very thorough and spelled out, and any changes I asked for were also noted. I was also given a sheet and gone over the short term and long term care for all of the new items that went in.
It's really nice to know there are still contractors out there that genuinely care about what they do, are kind, knowledgable and really take pride in doing good work. I can't say that about every contractor that's been on my property! I will be having them back to do other projects as funds allow!
