This is my second replacement of this switch. The problem is that two men charged me 1.5 man hours each for labor to accomplish this job for a total of 3 man hours which should have taken maybe 1/2 hour at the most giving the benefit of the doubt. My previous replacement was done by another plumber at a cost of $195 but that job required draining the tank to get access to the inside of the tank. This replacement only required pulling the jammed PVC pipe out, cutting off the old float switch, clamping a new float switch on with a simple clamp, taping the excess wire up on the existing sump pump power cord and jamming the PVC back into the tank. This was all done from outside and above the tank. The labor costs were way out of proportion for the job done which should have only required one man
