It took months and tons of money and they never were able to fix our HVAC system. They replaced the board, changed out the thermostat, replaced the wires, replaced the internal blower, and never got the system to work after 6 months of visits. It took forever to schedule follow up appointments and they charged a fortune. We finally hired another company and got the system working in one day.

Excellent service. Went above and beyond to get to the root of the problem. Service tech was friendly, knowledgeable, and made my family's needs a priority. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Professional Install of new Carrier Infinity Series in July 2015. Technicians were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Management is entirely different. It took at least a month to secure the owners manual and over a month for them to submit the necessary product indentification to Carrier to process the rebate. Had to call Carrier, who called Ocean Air to prompt them to submit the necessary paperwork. Within a month after install, endured a minor thermostat error message. Neither Ocean Air management nor any available technicians could troubleshoot or diagnose the issue over the phone, a service each Carrier dealer should be capable of providing, according to the Carrier website. Ocean Air management is only capable of scheduling service calls to address issues, no matter how simple. Our particular issue was resolved by changing the dealer installed air filter, which didn't last the minimum 30 days. Not having an owners manual in my possession and no one available to diagnose this simple issue over the phone apparently necessitated a $115, 45 minute service call. We attempted to visit with the Van Pelts to resolve, but we were refused entrance. Furthermore, Ocean Air Sales and Operations Manager Van Pelt offered a free 2 visit preventative maintenance service for the first year (email documented); however Tammy Van Pelt contends Ocean Air does not offer preventative maintenance agreements and refuses to honor. Curiously, James Van Pelt is now inaccessible from all email communication from the group company email. Appears the Management team is highly inept, disorganized, and quite unprofessional, susceptible to accounting errors. All claims documented in email. Buyer Beware.

The work was done quickly and the technician didn't fall through the ceiling!

Ocean Air were really great to work with. I met with several companies and received several estimates. Their proposal was very detailed in what they were going to do and the service they were going to provide. Every time I asked for a change to the proposal, their response was quick. Every person I dealt with at Ocean Air were courteous and professional at all times from the salesman to the office staff and finally the techs who did the install. The techs who came for my home were very polite and professional at all times. They worked very hard all day long in less than favorable conditions with the intense heat in the attic on a hot summer day. It must have been miserable but no complaints and just continued to bust their butts for me. I greatly appreciated the effort from all at Ocean Air and will not work with any other HVAC company. I highly recommend them for all your HVAC needs.

Arrived 15 minutes after the allotted time, but they called a little ahead and warned me.
James analyzed the situation quickly and immediately knew what to do.  The previous HVAC contractor had installed a part incorrectly and, even after we called him back out to look at it, couldn't figure out why the unit was making excessive noise.
After about 45 minutes of work, James had the noise down to a dull roar (the other guy had installed a cheap fan).
I'd recommend these folks highly.

The employees were prompt, professional and courteous.  I would definitely use them again.

I called Ocean Air and James came out to my home the same day at the time that was stated.  He thought at first that it was just a quick fix to restore the emergency heat on my system.  He fixed the error in the thermostat then discovered that there were problems in wiring.  He ended up have to do a decent amount of work on the inside and outside system due to a previous owners tinkering.  He was very kind and even checked to see if a part previously replaced by me was under warranty still.  If I ever need service again on my HVAC system, I will call Ocean Air.
