They are true artisans. They are not the cheapest around, but they physically go out to your boat, measure, and do everything to the highest standards of quality and exactness to your boat's specifications and I have never had a repair they made fail on me in a high wind.  I actually have used them so much, I have a budget I send them money so I can purchase my next sail so they work with the customer. They give Boat US members 10% discounts and they will work to give you a discount if you are a good customer. Their word is their bond. Once, I had an installation problem with some work they did.  They IMMEDIATELY responded, fixed the human error, and DID NOT charge any additional penny for the trip or the work.  They are a pleasure to give my money to and I always feel my money is well spent when I bring work to them.  I live close to Annapolis, MD and could use other sail shops but I choose Quantum Design Group in Solomons, MD.  I also have asked them to do work on sails and they carefully explained to me (patiently) why it would not be a good investment to do a particular amount  of work so they are careful about spending your money and I find them extremely affordable.  My last repairs on this date were to fully reinforce and patch my mainsail on my Mariner 28 and repair my sailcover. They did so timely, and w/o sticker shock and even removed and reinstalled the sails for a nominal fee.  They service you like they did in the good old days and it is nice to see craftsman who care both about their work and your needs!!!
